” I have bad news, Boss.” A harsh voice said as the entrance door flung open in Force. Both individual’s hearts skipped a beat, especially Damien. He looked relieved when he saw it was one of his men.

” In the future, can you try to walk in without scaring anyone?” Damien asked,

The young man was surprised, as he hadn’t ever believed Damien would want to become scared.

” What do you need?”

” The police are aware of Cathy’s kidnap.” He revealed.

” They are?” Cathy asked, excited with a huge sigh of relief. There were visible signs of happiness on her face.

” Tie her up once again and make sure you double the rope around her ankles. Only place the tape back, I don’t want her screaming the whole world here.”

” Yes boss.” He answered and proceeded to tie Cathy as instructed while Damien left the room in anger.

Everything was falling out of place now, and he was sure that in the next 30 or 40 minutes the cops would be running after him searching for evidence. He could let Cathy leave, especially after exposing his identity, she would definitely ensure he was locked up behind bars without even thinking about it. Damnit, he muttered and angrily bit his tongue.

He quickly searched his pants pocket for cigarettes to keep him calm. He searched them violently and found none, it was getting him frustrated.

” Where’s the damn stick?”

He looked around the room, almost throwing everything away. He found one immediately and took a lighter from the pavement near him. It wasn’t his usual smoke and he didn’t care.

As he took a puff, it smelt different and choked him. He spat it immediately and coughed violently making his chest throb.

The coughing didn’t stop and he turned around to alert the men working for him that something was wrong with him but he didn’t find anyone nearby.

He tried to walk to get a drink of water but he was staggering, he continued to cough violently and after some minutes he was already bleeding from his mouth.

Luckily for him, the young man who he had instructed to tie Cathy came out after carrying out the instructions. He rushed to Damien, scared that he was going to die.

” My stick was poisoned. Fast to the hospital.” Damien coughed more, and was getting paler.

The young man alerted the others and with the help of 3 others, they carried him to the car and rushed him to the hospital. Leaving Cathy tied to a chair with no one to protect her.

They had just finished lunch and were watching a movie when Dementrio ‘s phone rang. He had to excuse himself to take the call. He came back with a sad face and Rhea noticed it.

” What’s wrong?” She asked, concerned.

“Axl called, he said his father was rushed to the hospital.” He announced.

” Why, what happened?”

” Heart attack.” He whispered, and took some of the popcorn in the bowl to chew.

” Oh my goodness. Is he fine now? I hope nothing bad happens to him.”

She looked at Demetrio, there was no remorse in his face.

” I hope you don’t feel happy hearing about this?” She asked.

“He will get well, I’m more concerned about Cathy?”

” How?” She asked, there was a pinch of jealousy in her tone.

“He said Cathy is missing?”

” What an unlucky day for them. What should we do?”

” I don’t know, I’m held between helping Axl and Cathy.”

” This makes me worry so much about Cindy, she said she wanted to make things right with Cathy.”

” Did she tell you where they were to meet?”

” I can’t remember,”

“Pick up your phone and give her a call. Know where she is.”

She got her phone and tried to call Cindy, but she wasn’t answering at all. It made her so worried.

” What if something happens to her?” Rhea asked, almost in tears.

” Calm down Rhea, don’t say such things. Nothing will happen to her. ”

” I have a feeling she’s in serious trouble, can we go to look for her?”

” Where do we search?”

” Anywhere, I don’t care.” Just want to see her.

” Hold on and I will find out where she is.” He left again to make a car, leaving Rhea in her own thoughts. She felt bad for leaving Cathy the other day, even though her reasons were justified she shouldn’t have left Cindy after everything they’ve been through together. She muttered a prayer silently to the Heavens, hoping she was safe and fine.

She decided there that once Cindy was fine, then she was going to stay with her or make her understand she had to stay with her new family.

Dementrio came back after a while,

” I tracked her location and it’s the Los Angeles bridge.”

” Let’s go there now.”

He grabbed his car keys from the table with one hand and held Rhea’s hand with his other hand. They both walked out to his car.

Rhea was gasping and shaking violently and it worried him especially knowing it would affect her pregnancy.

He took her trembling hands in his and squeezed her fingers gently. It made her look at him and he smiled at her before saying,

” Be strong, it’s not your fault at all Cindy would be fine.”

She nodded and kissed his forehead as he did the same to the back of her palms, he started the car immediately and before the next minute it was already in the City’s Major road hoping to find her at the Los Angeles bridge, since the tracker indicated she was seen there.
