Painful seduction

Demetrio slowly followed the vehicle the Cops were using, he didn’t like the idea at all. He was a fast driver and someone who loved to do things his own way, following a flock of Cops when he could protect himself and whoever that was with him. He made funny sounds during the drive and Nelly wasn’t happy about it, she decided to distract him with a conversation.

” You’re worried about her right?” She started, asking about the most important and only person who could make him smile.

” I love her so much, Nelly.” He answered with a smile. She had succeeded.

“Why are you like this?”

” How?”

” Dangerous, cunning but Sweet.”

” My Rhea made me so.”

” Who are you?’

“I don’t understand…” he was starting to sound uncomfortable with the discussion but Nelly couldn’t understand why.

” Why are you helping Cathy? She mentioned both fathers were enemies.”

“Cathy is my best friend’s wife…I’m someone who values long term relationships.” He answered.

” Or is it Rhea’s effect?” She asked, not believing him.

” You women are smart. Maybe Rhea is responsible but I’ve never thought of hurting Cathy.”

“You know who is responsible for kidnapping my sister?”

” My brother Damien is….” He answered without thinking.

” Have I seen him?” She asked.

“Not sure….”

” How do you know so much?” She asked, with a quiver. Even though he seems nice, she knew the big man next to her was capable of causing much harm. She looked away trying to give herself a distraction since he hadn’t responded to her.

The place they were driving to, looked dangerous, she wouldn’t have guessed, humans existed here but they did…maybe because she saw few buildings that looked like where humans live in. Dementrio’s phone rang and Nelly was glad the silence was over, she wasn’t the type of person who could stay hours without talking. From his tone , she knew it was his girlfriend , Rhea. She wondered what made him fall in love with Rhea, with the number of times they met. She found nothing special or amusing about her. Rhea was just a regular city girl not even as beautiful as Cindy but she dared not say those words to Demetrio. He might just push her out of the car, he was heartless.

Thankfully the Cops vehicle came to a stop after about 20 minutes of terrible chasing and Dementrio pulled up behind it. The place was so quiet, not even a sound was heard.

” Will I stay back?” She asked Dementrio.

” Do you want to stay back and get killed?” He asked in a briskly tone, that wasn’t the answer Nelly had wanted and she felt insulted from it but she dared not say a word about it .

She came down and followed him, the place wasn’t so scary after all. Just a building site that was abandoned, it was an old building and apart from the dust which accumulated the room and the broken furniture, she was grateful there were no bloody writings on the wall like the one she saw in movies.

They entered inside, with the cops guiding them through. Nelly felt scared and safe at the same time. Scared that someone might just shoot her and also safe with the number of Cops around her. She looked at Demetrio, He had no fear, with his hands in his pant’s pocket. He looked bold as he examined each part of the room, his sharp eyes found an envelope which the Inspector took . It was to be examined later for fingerprints.

They found Cathy after about 30 minutes of lookout, the place was so big and the room looked so identical. Nelly rushed to her cousin to untie her. The relief on Cathy’s face was so lovely, she was so excited when she saw Nelly accompanied by the cops.

” Thankfully, you’re alive.” Nelly rushed as she hugged her after untying the ropes and removing the glue paper from her mouth.

“Where’s the fool , Damein?”Cathy asked immediately her mouth was freed.

“Damien? No one is here.” Nelly answered.

” I want to go home…” Cathy cried, she looked weak and tired. Her skin had gone pale and her legs were wobbling considering how much blood wouldn’t have flowed on her wrist and ankle.

” Let’s go home, Cathy. You will rest afterwards.”

Nelly helped her walk the remaining miles to the car and he started the engines.

” You’re sure Damien was here?”

” I’m certain…he talked about signing the papers and about my sister…” She let those words trail out. This wasn’t the right time to talk about the betrayal of her family members.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

No one made any comment again, Cathy was more absent minded than the others. She couldn’t believe the only sister who she had would actually sleep with her husband just to give the property papers to the enemy. Nelly found her Lost in thought and decided to know what was wrong.

” Is it about Cindy?” Nelly asked.

” You know about it too?” She asked.

” Yes…she came to look for you and Mr. Anderson.” Calling Mr. Anderson’s name made her recall he was still in the hospital.

She hadn’t even received a call on his health.

Just as she thought of him, her phone vibrated. She checked the caller and it was Axl. Cathy immediately looked at her with suspicions. She didn’t blame her at all, to prove she had nothing to hide, She answered by putting the phone on speakers.

” Nelly…” he called, he sounded broken and Cathy was worried, she grabbed the phone immediately.

” What’s the matter, Axl…tell me.”

” The hospital…Dad…he’s…” he broke down again and the call got disconnected.

” Axl! Axl! Nelly he won’t answer.”

” The call has disconnected already…Mr. Anderson got a heart attack today.”

” What!” It was so unbelievable to Cathy, even though she had lost her trust in Me. Anderson she won’t wish bad on him.

” How did it happen?”

” He saw Cindy and his heart failed.”

” Demetrio…Dementrio, please drive us to the hospital.”

He agreed and reversed the car to the hospital.
