Chapter 365 The Child’s Cry

The hair on Donahueiel’s forehead was scattered, and he raised his eyes in a

wretched manner. Before he could say anything, Janet ran out of patience, put

in gear, and stepped on the gas.

“Bang!”

Donahueiel’s car skewed to a stop in front of Janet’s car. The back seat door

was dented and Donahueiel’s car was forced to give up half of its lane.

One more time, Janet could rub against his car and keep going. But then, her car would be badly dama

ged, too.

Donahueiel thought twice, gritted his teeth, and started backing up.

His intention was not to let Janet do something stupid on impulse.

But right now, it seemed that with him in the car, she couldn’t be calm.

Inside the Maybach, Janet’s eyes were red.

Watching Donahueiel’s car give way little by little, she smiled and stepped on the gas.

The night was getting darker.

Janet was burning with rage. She could barely remember how she had driven

the car back to the city.

She only remembered Quintina’s wailing sobs in the back seat.

It was so unbearably tiresome.

Soon, the Maybach entered a villa area.

The villa area was nestled in the mountains, and the name, Landscape Villa, was fitting. It was one of J

anet’s properties.

For some reason, her three brothers did not know that she had such a property

there.

The car soon arrived at a villa in front of a rather secluded area.

Janet parked the car, carried Quintina, who was sobbing, into the villa, and dragged her all the way do

wn to the basement.

The basement was dark and gloomy, with only a faint light.

Janet closed the door and shoved Quintina into the darkness.

Quintina fell to the ground, her sobs coming to an abrupt halt. She stifled a

grunt of pain.

She turned her head and looked in horror at Janet who was standing behind the

door.

Janet’s back was to the light, and her shadow behind her was stretched out by

the light. Janet was hidden from her sight.

Quintina couldn’t see her face, but she knew that Janet’s expression must be grim.

“You’re crazy, Janet, you’re crazy…”

Quintina’s voice trembled. She sat down on the floor and backed up in distress.

“You can’t do this to me. Sooner or later, someone will find this place! I advise you to let me

go as soon as possible, or else the Webster family won’t let you

go…”

Janet took one step down the stairs. She was still wearing the red dress from the jewelry show, her lon

g skirt curving up the stairs, as bright red as the flowing blood.

As she got closer, she stared at Quintina like she was dead and sneered, “Really? Do you think I care a

bout the Webster family?”

She only cared about her poor child.

The one that was already in shape, just six months away from being born,

the one that would grow up to call her mother and jump into her arms to

pamper her.

and

Janet couldn’t breathe when she thought of the day the baby was gone. Her

chest was like a big ball of cotton, soaked in water. She felt cold and choking.

Looking at Janet, who was closing in on her, Quintina was in tears. Quintina

cried out in a near–breakdown.

“What the hell do you want? Do you want me to pay for its life? That child of yours is dead. I’ll apologiz

e to you, okay?!”

At the sound of the words, Quintina was kicked in the small of her back. She

slammed into the wall like a broken doll.

Quintina was in pain and nearly vomited blood.

She was in pain and distress, terrified and humiliated.

Janet crouched down and picked up Quintina by the collar.

“Pay for its life? You don’t deserve it! Was what happened back then an accident, or was it your plan?”

Quintina’s belly hurt as if it was about to burn up.

She gasped for air and saw Janet’s red eyes, which contained a pain that could not be ignored.

Suddenly, Quintina laughed like crazy.

With anger burning in her eyes, she glared at Janet.

“Yes, I did it on purpose! I killed your baby on purpose, I made you miscarry

on purpose!”

“I also deliberately evil–

talked about you to Donahueiel back then! Because a bitch like you who pestered him with a baby does

n’t deserve to be part of the

Webster family!”

“Do you dare to kill me? How will you face my brother later? After what you did to me today, you can’t e

ven think about making up with my brother!”

Quintina thought that after saying those words, Janet would be infuriated and

in pain.

She had already been beaten up by Janet. Since that was the case, she wanted

to make Janet feel bad!

After today, Janet would never marry into the Webster family again!

But to her surprise, Janet looked at her very calmly.

Feeling Janet’s indifference, Quintina panicked a little.

Her chest rose and fell violently, and she looked at Janet with fear and anxiety. Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

Janet’s hand moved to Quintina’s neck. Her cold fingers tightened little by

little.

Quintina was terrified, her eyes wide. “How dare you…”

“Stupid, when

did I ever say I wanted to make up with Donahueiel? Quintina, you’re only going to anger me and make

me torture you so much that you will

suffer a lot!”

Quintina’s body trembled.

Looking at Janet’s cold face, she felt more threatened than ever.

She was very afraid, but still gritted her teeth, not believing that Janet would do something to her.

“Do you dare to kill me…”

Janet slowly got up and looked at Quintina with a condescending look.

For a long time, she scoffed.

“Quintina, you are finally being tough. Before, you liked to pretend to be weak. You thought you could g

et away with it if you cried and pouted when you did something wrong. Now, you’ve become smart. Are

you trying to provoke me?”

Janet looked at her coldly and said, “Do you think I’ll let you get what you

want?”

Quintina pranced back uneasily. She broke down mentally and yelled, “What the hell are you

going to do?!”

“I’m not going to kill you.”

Janet walked slowly to the basement entrance wall, her voice cold, “Killing you would dirty my hands. B

ut if you, a murderer, live, it would be too unfair to my child…”

In the darkness, Quintina only heard a click.

As if some switch was pressed by Janet, the empty and deep basement

suddenly rustled from all sides.

The sound was like some kind of audio device, which seemed inexplicably

eerie in this environment.

The eerie sound suddenly rang out.

Suddenly, a weak cry came from nowhere, and it sounded like the cry of a weak

baby in swaddling clothes.

Quintina froze on the spot and instantly understood. Her pupils suddenly widened, and her fear reache

d its peak at that moment.

Janet’s words were interspersed with sobs that were very cold and creepy.

“I can’t kill you. But if you kill yourself, it’s none of my business.“
