Chapter 93 Baxter Bumped Into Byron
“Athena, please give me some time. I want to talk to you!” Baxter said sincerely.
Athena ignored him, and her gaze fell on that Ghost.
She prayed in her mind that it was just a car, as same as Byron’s.
But the next second, the familiar driver got out of the car with white gloves and opened the rear door.
Byron, who was wearing a black windbreaker, got out of the car.
Just as he looked up, he met Athena’s eyes.
Baxter followed Athena’s gaze and looked over.
When he saw Byron, a trace of astonishment flashed across his
face.
“Why is he here?” Baxter asked Athena, “You… you haven’t… but he’s going to get married.”
“Who? Who is getting married?”
Evie looked over drunkenly.
Athena supported her and let her back face Byron.
Byron had walked to them at this time.
“Mr. Maxwell, does it have anything to do with you whether I get married or not?” Byron looked dignified
with an imposing
manner.
Baxter would never forget how Byron insulted and trampled on him back then.
Byron easily got Baxter expelled from the laboratory and put a label of plagiarism on him.
He even cut off the supply chain of the company of Baxter’s
parents.
He did all of this because he wanted to let Baxter know he was not worthy of Athena. Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
“You still didn’t learn the lesson after many years. It’s really disappointing.” Byron withdrew his gaze
from Baxter and looked at Athena.
If gaze could kill people, his gaze was enough to cut Athena into pieces.
“Mr. Crawford, you are about to get married. Why do you still refuse to let her go?” Baxter plucked up
his courage.
He was no longer the one who could be kicked away casually!
He kept encouraging himself in his mind. “There is no need to be afraid of him!
Right!
I’m not afraid of him!”
“What does this have to do with you?” Athena was so speechless about Baxter’s rashness.
She didn’t care how he argued with Byron.
What she cared about was that he provoked Byron with the excuse of her.
“Baxter, I have nothing to do with you. You are just a stranger to me after so many years. I hope you
won’t disturb my life anymore. Please leave!” Athena said in a deep voice.
Baxter’s face turned paler, but he stood there without moving.
“She’s afraid I’ll kill you. She’s so anxious while you’re still standing there. Should I say you’re faithful or
stupid?” Byron
sneered.
Compared with Byron losing his temper, Athena felt he was the scariest like right now.
“Byron, what nonsense are you talking about?” She said with a `frown.
“Byron?” Evie suddenly stood upright and tilted her head to
look back. “Huh? It’s really you?”
Athena felt helpless as she had to handle Baxter and Evie at the same time.
“Athena, it’s really Byron. Mr. Crawford, you are so popular
in our company, and many people admire you!” Evie let go of Athena. She stood up straight but still
swayed from time to time. “Congratulations on your engagement! Your fiancée is so pretty!”
Athena panicked and was so worried that Evie would offend Byron.
“Mr. Crawford, we shouldn’t bother you anymore. My friend drank too much. I’ll take her home,” Athena
said, not caring what Baxter was going to say.
Since Baxter was tired of living, Athena didn’t want to waste her
time.
She only wanted Evie to stay away from Byron right now.
But after she took several steps, Byron’s bodyguards came to
her.
“Miss Newton, we got this.”
“Don’t you dare touch her!” Athena shouted and turned to look at Byron. “What do you want?“
