Chapter 1805 Dads Are Dangers
Richie looked utterly shocked.
He walked away from Byron with Athena before whispering, "Do adults need to be coaxed, too? My
mom stopped coaxing me after I started school!"
Athena chuckled. "Well, I can't help it. Your Uncle likes it this way."
Richie sank into deep thought.
His thoughts wandered back to a long time ago when he hadn't started school yet.
Once, his family had gone to visit relatives in Girard City, and it was the first time he had met Byron.
At that time, Wren pointed at Uncle and said, "You should look up to Uncle as a role model. He was
good at studying since he was little. And now, he's an amazing adult!"
And now, Richie wondered if Wren knew that Byron still needed to be coaxed by his wife even though
he was already in his thirties.
After Athena followed Richie back home, Emily greeted them with a smile.
Emily crossed her arm and glanced at Richie, saying, "Did you bring her here to stop me from scolding
you?"
"Mom, I'm sorry!" Richie apologized swiftly.
Emily was speechless.
Richie often made mistakes and seldom learned from them.
His forgetfulness was quite extreme.
For example,
one time, when he was going to school. He called his mom in tears after arriving and realized he had
only worn one shoe.
In Northern Canakey, the sun came up late in winter.
Emily was away on a business trip, so Mark had to take Richie to school.
The car was parked in the backyard near the back door, and they were running late, so Mark quickly
scooped him up and got him into the car.
Neither of them noticed that Richie had only one shoe on.
Richie himself hadn't noticed until he got to school.
Apart from that, he often forgot his schoolbag, homework, textbooks, and more.
Emily had even wondered if there was something wrong with his intelligence.
She had even taken him to see specialists, but they concluded it was just a mild attention deficit, a
common issue among children.
Suzy had jokingly called it "carefree."
"Is Mia alright?" Emily asked Athena while handing her the fruits.
When Emily came home after work, Mark told her that Byron had accidentally made Mia fall.
Mark said in a flat tone, so Emily didn't think it was a big deal.
After all...
Mark had accidentally hurt his sons more than once.
Athena replied, "She's fine."
"That's good. It's funny, though. When there's no danger, dads are the danger," Emily commented,
shaking her head.
"Mark is a danger as well?" Athena asked. She didn't know someone who was good at parenting and
didn't know much about it.
Emily immediately launched into a series of anecdotes and teased to Athena.
Athena was genuinely surprised.
Emily added, "Tommy is the same. When he took his family skiing two years ago, he bumped into his
son so hard that his son tumbled down the slope like a snowball!" Read at
Athena couldn't help but laugh at the stories.
She was struck by how different Byron was from Mark and Tommy.
Apparently, Byron was much more caring when he was with the kids.
He always made himself nervous all day. For instance, whenever Mia accidentally bumped into Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
something while walking, he would meticulously baby-proof their home.
As for Aiden, before he had his accident, Byron would call home every day at medication time.
