Chapter 292
Chapter 292
Anna, unable to forcefully enter Warner Manor, returned to the café to meet with Billy, Jasper,
and Xara.
“I can’t get inside Warner Manor,” Anna explained.
Billy’s hope crumbled, and he angrily punched the sofa. “Maybe I should just set the whole place on fire
and be done with it!’
“Mr. Anstey, wake up! Esther is still inside. If you burn down Warner Manor, she won’t be able to
escape in her current state,” Jasper reminded him.
Seeing the group’s dejected faces, Jasper took a deep breath and spoke gently. “Let’s not lose hope.
We need to think of another plan. If all else fails, we can create a distraction and diversion. As long as
we don’t give up, there’s still a chance to save Esther.”
Bradley dismissed Jasper and the others’ rescue plan with disdain. He walked gracefully to the
bedroom door and noticed a troubled servant standing there with a tray of food.
“Good day, Mr. Warner,” the servant greeted him respectfully.
Bradley glanced at the dishes on the tray and coldly said, “I’ll have my meal here too.”
“Yes, sir,” the servant replied, quickly informing the other servants to prepare Bradley’s meal. As
Bradley pushed open the door, he saw Esther, lifeless and motionless, lying like a dead
person.
“Jasper managed to get Anna to see you,” Bradley informed Esther.
At the mention of Anna’s name, Esther’s expression showed a slight change. Though subtle, it didn’t
escape Bradley’s notice.
“Your father used to ignore you, but now that he knows Liliane isn’t his biological daughter, he suddenly
pretends to be nice to you. Haven’t you seen through the hypocrisy of people, Esther?” Bradley
questioned.
Esther sat up,
her long hair disheveled. Ever since Bradley had locked her up, she had been refusing to eat.
Trapped and unable to escape or die, Bradley was even forcing her to bear his child-an existence that
disgusted Esther about the world.
“Bradley Warner, the person I can’t understand in this life is you,” Esther remarked.
Esther looked incredibly frail as if she would vanish with the slightest breeze.
“I’m certain you don’t love me. So why keep me bound to your side?” she questioned Bradley. Bradley
pulled a chair over and sat across from Esther. Avoiding her question, he spoke coldly. “From now on,
we’ll have all three meals together. If you continue to refuse to eat, I’ll have the nurse give you nutrition
intravenously. As long as you can get pregnant, that’s all that matters to me.”
Esther let out a bitter laugh and mocked, “Five years ago, when I was pregnant, you called it a
b*stard and personally sent me to prison. I gave birth, but Liliane took my son away, and you took my
children away, even having the people in prison tell me that my children had died. Bradley, now you
want me to bear a child for you? Who is being ridiculous here, you or me?”
Her words ignited Bradley’s anger. Like a swift leopard, he lunged at her, forcefully pinning NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
her in his embrace.
Esther understood the emotions in Bradley’s eyes. She didn’t resist and simply gazed at him as if
granting any request.
“Mr. Warner, do you want to continue?” Bradley’s hand covered Esther’s vacant eyes as he bit her
earlobe, releasing his pent-up frustration.
Tears welled up in Esther’s eyes, streaming down her cheeks and mingling with her hair. “Give birth to
a child safely, and I’ll set you free!” Bradley declared.
