My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley)

Esther struggled in Bradley’s arms, her resentful eyes locked onto Liliane, who was celebrating Felix’s

death. With desperation in her voice, she questioned Liliane, “How did you manage to take Felix away

from the prison? Why did the prison doctor tell me that my children had died?”

When Esther first entered the prison five years ago, she never thought of ending her life, even when

faced with bullying from the inmates. Her only desire was to bring her children into the world. She

believed that as their mother, she would give them all the love they deserved, even

if their father didn’t.

But the premature and difficult childbirth unexpectedly robbed her of her babies and shattered. her

hope for the future.

When others in prison bullied her, she fought back fiercely, not out of fear of death, but to find an end

to everything within those prison walls.

“I didn’t know Felix was your son,” Liliane defended herself.

Shane had specifically reminded Liliane about it when she left the detention center.

If it came down to choosing between her and Leah, both Shane and Leah agreed that Liliane’s safety

should be ensured. First and foremost, she was their daughter, and secondly, her poor health made

her a priority. If the legal department of the Warner Group went all out, Liliane would face inevitable

prison time unless someone else took the blame for her crimes.

Leah, who loved her daughter deeply, naturally became the primary candidate for shouldering that

burden.

“You didn’t know?” Esther questioned hysterically. “But you admitted it yourself!”

Liliane weakly leaned back and nonchalantly explained, “Whether you believe it or not, I didn’t know

Felix was your son initially. Esther, if I had known, I wouldn’t have taken him.” Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Then who handed Felix to you?” Esther pressed on.

With a sarcastic tone, Liliane countered, “Esther, since you don’t have a mother, you wouldn’t

understand how a mother can do anything for her daughter.”

“So, it was your mother who took Felix from prison?” Esther quickly deduced. She realized that Leah’s

hatred for her and her mother might have driven her to execute such a plan. Leah seemed to be

avenging her daughter’s death while also targeting Esther. “And your mother made the prison doctor

tell me that my children had died?”

Liliane raised an eyebrow upon hearing Esther’s words and provocatively taunted her, ” Unfortunately, I

didn’t know Felix was your son at the time. If I had known, I would’ve gladly killed him myself. Your

love for your children is so great that your son became food for sharks. Why don’t you go and join him?

Or perhaps you should avenge your son by killing Bradley?”

“Enough, Liliane Anstey!” Kevin, who had been silent until now, stepped forward to shield Bradley,

whose face was filled with anger. He genuinely feared that Bradley might lose control and harm

Liliane.

“Don’t think that by verbally provoking Bradley and Esther, you can manipulate them into killing you and

grant yourself relief! You’re overestimating your significance!” Kevin’s stern

gaze moved across Liliane’s exposed face. “I will make sure you live. Living with the loss of everything

is the greatest punishment for someone like you.”

“Kevin!” Liliane glared at Kevin, who was interfering in their affairs. She had successfully provoked

Esther, and all she needed was to provoke Bradley to achieve her goal. Kevin had ruined it by

appearing out of nowhere.

“I didn’t expect you to gain some intelligence during your years abroad!

Bradley noticed Esther’s pale and weak face from the corner of his eye. He reached out to touch her

shoulder, but she awkwardly brushed off his hand. Liliane’s words felt like a knife piercing her heart.
