My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley)

In Billy’s view, Bradley had already decided to marry Liliane, so it must have been a carefully

considered decision. As for why Bradley publicly backed out of the wedding, it must be because

someone instigated it.

“Felix’s biological mother isn’t Liliane,” Clark interjected on behalf of Esther. “I personally conducted a

DNA test, and the result shows that Esther is Felix’s biological mother.”

“That’s impossible!” Billy quickly denied it. “Clark, all Liliane’s prenatal examination reports are at home.

If you have any doubts, I can show them to you right now…”

Bradley looked at Billy, who remained stubborn and unyielding. His expression turned cold as he said,

“Liliane has a congenital heart condition. With her condition, she isn’t fit for childbirth.”

Billy looked at Bradley in shock, disregarding his own weak state. He staggered out of bed and walked

up to Bradley, pleading anxiously, “Mr. Warner, Liliane already had a congenital heart condition when

she was born. The doctors had predicted that she wouldn’t live past 18. She’s the apple of our eyes. If

there’s any misunderstanding between you and her, we can help resolve it. I beg you. Please don’t be

so cruel to Liliane…”

Despite knowing that she had no place in Billy’s heart, Esther could not help but feel a pang as she

watched Billy repeatedly sacrifice his dignity for Liliane’s sake. She thought this was probably her

retribution for being an illegitimate child.

Her mother had passed away early, and her father was like a non–existent entity. She was forever

alone in the bustling world amidst the sea of people.

“Billy, Liliane’s current predicament is of her own making!” Clark played a recorded conversation on his

phone in front of Bradley, Esther, Billy, and Kevin. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

Kevin could not believe his ears when he heard Liliane admitting in her own voice that she was the one

who had removed Thomas‘ oxygen mask. Why would she do such a thing?

As Billy listened to the recording, he refused to accept that it was Liliane who caused Thomas‘ death.

“Esther, how could you scheme against Liliane like this? You personally removed Thomas‘ oxygen

mask. Why don’t you dare to admit it? Why did you frame Liliane? Do you think her life hasn’t been

miserable enough?” Billy questioned.

Esther trembled and had to hold onto the handrail of the hospital bed to steady herself. “I’ll say it again!

Five years ago, I never removed Grandpa Thomas‘ oxygen mask.”

Esther looked at Billy in anguish and revealed the whole truth about what happened five years ago for

the first time. “Someone had already removed Grandpa Thomas‘ oxygen mask when I arrived at the

hospital room. I was actually trying to put it back on, but the medical staff who rushed in misunderstood

and thought I was the one who removed it.”

Billy sneered and mocked, “Esther, every move of you removing the oxygen mask was clearly

recorded on surveillance, yet you say you didn’t do it! Why is there evidence of it in the courtroom

then?”

“I don’t know how that video footage in the courtroom came to be, but I’m telling you all, I

didn’t remove the oxygen mask. Grandpa Thomas treated me so well! How could I possibly repay his

kindness with such an act!?” Esther’s eyes burned with resolution as she looked at Billy, Bradley, and

the others.

“Even now, I still won’t admit to something I didn’t do. You believe I did all of this because you never

trusted me…“
