Freddie was panicking big time. However, the siblings looked extremely calm, Skylar especially. She’d contacted a lawyer and discussed their next course of action with the police.
Since Freddie’s social media had been taken over by his company, he was unable to speak out for himself. However, a lawyer could speak for him.
They were waiting for their lawyer to finish a legal letter.
Although a legal letter might not be taken seriously and wouldn’t change anything, they still needed to give it a try.
“Mr. Martin has set out a public relations plan. We just need to wait,” Skylar said softly to Charles. He looked extremely exhausted.
Charles felt guilty. He said, “Skye, I never thought that I would be the one to drag you down with me.”
Skylar’s family had always been a weak point for her, especially in her
relationship with Joe. If he caused even more trouble, Joe would definitely be annoyed. This was why he felt laden with guilt. If this impacted their relationship, Charles would feel even worse.
“We’re a family. We should handle such challenges together. Besides, this wasn’t your fault,” Skylar said immediately.
She believed that Felicia was targeting Charles because of the accident. Otherwise, this was too much of a coincidence.
Freddie stood a distance from them. He couldn’t hear what they were saying.
He kept thinking about how he could salvage the situation. Some of his seniors had advised him to resign himself to the situation.
