Chapter 574 Put on the Play
Hearing the sound, Faye sat up, but did not turn on the bedside lamp, and reached for her cellphone on
the bedside table.
Two o'clock in the morning was a deep sleep time. It seemed that they came prepared.
Faye held her breath, listening to the fighting outside the door, then sent a message to Lance. "Has
Andy arrived in Yicbridge?"
Lance replied immediately, "Just arrived. We are on our way to the hotel."
Faye texted, "Are you here too?"
Lance replied, "Yes!"
Faye texted, "Got it."
After that, Faye got out of bed, tied the belt of her nightgown tightly, and walked towards the door.
The sound of fighting grew louder and louder, and she heard someone sneering, "What a dirty trick you
are playing."
"You want to attack a woman in the middle of the night. Aren't you afraid of being the laughingstock of
the circle?" Another voice sounded.
"Gunner, do you want to betray Mr. Farrell? How dare you!"
The first voice answered, "Hey, I'm not his man. How can I betray him? Don't try to put me in the wrong.
I'm a righteous man."Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
Hearing that, Faye raised her eyebrows, standing behind the door.
She figured out one group of the people worked for Brandon, and the other group...
When Faye was thinking, something hit the door with a thud.
Afterward, a vicious warning sounded, "Gunner, don't think your father can cover you. If you dare to
find trouble with him..."
Before the man could finish his words, Faye opened the door suddenly.
As the door was opened, the two men who had been leaning against the door fell backward.
Seeing that, Faye extended her hand to support one man's back and at the same time kicked in the
other man's belly.
It happened suddenly, and no one expected it.
The man was kicked and fell to the ground. He swore in a stooped posture, his face pale with pain.
"Damn it!"
The man who was supported by Faye's hand was Gunner, and the two had met in the day.
Gunner stabilized himself and blinked at Faye. "Did we wake you up?"
Faye kept a cold face. "Are you protecting me?"
Gunner said, "Isn't it obvious?"
Faye said, "Okay."
With that, Faye shot out the door and seized the man by the throat who had fallen on the ground until
his face turned purple.
Before the man's accomplices could react, Gunner rushed forward and knocked them out.
The man lying on the ground struggled hard.
Faye said coldly without emotion on her face, "Do you want to stay alive?"
The man couldn't speak, so he could only give up struggling and blinked.
Faye said, "You'd better not play tricks under my nose."
Faye said and let go of the man's neck.
The man gasped for air.
Seeing the man recover his breath, Faye grabbed his collar and pulled him up.
The man stared at Faye in big-eyed amazement, "You... What do you want to do?"
Faye said in a low voice, "I don't want to alarm the police."
After that, Faye pushed the man into the door, turned to Gunner, and said, "Take that one in."
Gunner was taken aback by Faye's behavior. After recovering from his shock, he nodded, muttering,
"Why would she need my protection? I think she can protect me."
More than ten minutes later, Faye was sitting in front of the sofa drinking coffee. Gunner tied up
Brandon's men with his ties.
After that, Gunner walked to Faye and teased, "Now you know I'm not a bad man."
Faye raised her eyes. "Are you Maxwell's man?"
Gunner took out the cigarette case from his pocket and lit it up between his lips, "I'm Maxwell's friend."
Gunner took a drag on his cigarette and pursed his lips. Just as he was about to say something, the
door was knocked.
Gunner was startled and choked with smoke. He started to cough violently.
Faye glanced at him and got up to open the door.
The door was opened, Faye saw Andy and Lance at the door.
Lance grinned cheekily. "I knew you are not sleeping."
Faye invited them in. "Come in."
Lance nodded with a smile and strode into the door. But at the sight of the scene in the room, the
corner of his mouth twitched. "Has your room been burglarized?" He turned to look at Faye in surprise.
Faye didn't answer the question and winked at Andy.
Andy winked at Andy. Andy glanced at her knowingly and walked over to Gunner. He pulled him up
from the sofa and flung him to the ground.
Andy used a strength bigger than Faye's.
Gunner was so painful that he gasped for breath.
After a long time, Gunner winced painfully, "You crazy woman. You're ungrateful!"
Faye looked indifferent. "Did you forget that I'm not stupid when you put on the play?"
