Chapter 516 Being Narrow-minded
Hearing his words, Colin pressed the tip of his tongue against one cheek and did not reply immediately.
After a long while, he slowly said, "Abbot, do you like extreme sports very much?"
Abbot said, "Not really. Why?"
Colin said, "Why are you always courting death?"
Abbot was speechless.
Hearing him keep silent, Colin joked, "Are you going to tell me or not? I will hang up if you continue
keeping silent."
Abbot gritted his teeth and said, "You're jealous! You must be jealous of me."
Colin sneered, "Why am I jealous of you? You fell in love with a woman who tricked you. What's more,
she said she has no feelings for you. So, you have made a painstaking effort to win her heart!"
His words hit Abbot's pain spots, so the latter fell silent.
After about ten seconds of awkward silence, Collin decided to say something to lighten the
atmosphere. But when he was about to open his mouth, Abbot suddenly said, "You had been in a one-
sided love with Faye for eleven years and had been as humble as an underdog."
Colin was speechless.
Abbot laughed, "Come on! Let's hurt each other!"
Colin said with a half-smile, "I will never give you any more advice in the future."
Abbot was dumbfounded.
Colin scoffed, "Mr. Carter, enjoy your accomplishment tonight. After all, there may not be any more
progress in the future."
Then, he hung up the phone before Abbot could answer.
When Abbot saw the call hung up on the car's display, the corners of his mouth twitched, and then, he
called him again. But Collin did not answer the call after he had called him three times in a row.
When he was about to call him the fourth time, he changed his mind and sent him a voice message,
asking, "Colin, are you so narrow-minded?"
Colin quickly replied in a lazy voice, "Yeah, I am very narrow-minded."
Hearing his voice message, Abbot laughed angrily, "Shame on you."
Recanalization was a minor operation. Although the recovery period was one month, Colin needed to
be hospitalized for only one week.
A week later, he went through the formalities and was discharged from the hospital on a shining day.
When Faye was driving him home, he leaned back in the passenger seat and said with a smile,
"Finally, I can go home."
Faye smiled, "Why do you want to go home so much?"
Colin smiled wantonly, "I can't sleep well in the hospital. I miss my bed."
Faye asked, "Why didn't I know you have such a problem before?"
Colin turned his head to look at her and said, "Do you want me to tell you the truth?"
Faye raised her eyebrows and said, "Yes?"
He responded with a smile, "Because you didn't let me hold you while sleeping in the hospital."
Faye glanced at him with a smile in her eyes but didn't speak.
When they arrived at Fennth Community, Faye parked the car, and they got off together.
As soon as they got out of the car, Lance walked up to them and said that Colin was welcome back
home, but he kept looking at Faye intentionally.
Faye instantly took his hint, so she secretly shook her head at him.
Seeing her warning look, he grinned cheekily, "Colin, what would you like for lunch? I'll go out to buy
the food ingredients right away."
Colin had seen all of Lance's little gestures but did not want to expose him, so he replied, "You decide."
Lance said, "If so, I will buy the ingredients for the dishes you like."
Colin teased, "Do you know what dishes I like?"
Lance responded calmly, "I will ask Cindy!"
Colin chuckled, "Okay. Thank you for being so thoughtful."
Then, Lance took the order and went out to buy groceries, while Faye accompanied Colin back to the Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.
bedroom.
As soon she entered the door, he hugged her from behind.
She grinned, "What's wrong?"
He rested his chin on her shoulder, rubbed it lightly, and said, "Nothing."
Faye tilted her head slightly and asked, "Did you see Lance wink at me?"
Colin didn't deny it but smiled, "He is poor in acting."
Faye said, "That's because he didn't intend to hide it from you at all."
Colin replied, "I see. Lance didn't intend to hide it from me, but he wasn't sure if you want to."
Faye leaned against his chest, turned her head to look at him, put her hand on the back of his hand,
pursed her lips, and said, "If I guess it correctly, he wanted to tell me something about Martha."
