Chapter 12
Chapter 12
Vivianna prepared some macaroni and cheese for him, and the little fellow finished eating his meal obediently. After drinking some milk, Vivianna helped him to take a bath and sent him to his room. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
Zephaniah said good night to her, "Mommy, don't work too late! I read in a book that you can't stay up late, or you will grow old."
"Mommy knows this." Vivianna was touched. Although her son was young, he started to learn to take care of her.
After Vivianna closed the door, the little fellow immediately got off the bed, went and sat by his own small table, and took out the resume that Winslow had printed for him. And after taking out his colored pencils, he started to study the resume on the table carefully.
His cognitive and comprehension abilities were very strong, and he had a large vocabulary since he was two years old. Now, he was three and a half years old, and his knowledge was comparable to that of a year five primary school student.
However, the writing was his weakness. His handwriting was crooked, however, it was still legible.
He wrote down his mommy's name, age, hobbies, and occupation on the resume.
He expressed all his ideas, writing down all the words that could praise his mommy, such as beautiful, capable, a good cook, and so on.
After he finished writing this resume, he picked it up and checked it thoroughly. He took out a small photo album from his bag, which contained a printed selfie of Vivianna. Then, he pasted it on the resume using some glue.
Now, the resume in his hand was complete. It actually looked like a proper resume, ready to be submitted for a job application!
He kept the resume in a safe place. He thought that he would bring this resume tomorrow to Augustine Giltstone. He could introduce his mommy to this man and ask him to be mommy's boyfriend.
With imagining this pleasant situation, the little fellow gradually fell asleep.
Vivianna worked until the wee hours. She opened the door and observed the little fellow sleeping soundly under the quilt. She walked over and kissed his forehead gently. Then, she went out of the door to wash up and prepare to sleep.
She was also exhausted. She fell asleep as soon as she laid on the bed.
Early the next morning.
Linda called Vivianna, saying that she would pick them up. Vivianna brought her son to work. Although it was not appropriate to do so, it was the summer break and he did not have to attend school. Hence, she wanted to sign up her son for some extracurricular interest classes, for example, art class or maybe robotics, but she had to check them out in person. However, she really couldn't spare the time to do that presently.
Winslow's workload was currently less, and Linda had assigned her to take care of Zeph. After all, if Vivianna were to successfully complete this design project, the benefits would be considerable indeed.
Today, the little fellow was carrying a cool little backpack. He was dressed up and he looked fashionable. His hair was neatly combed.
"Wow, you are even more handsome today." Winslow was fascinated by his appearance. Seeing him, she felt as if she had seen a mini version of Augustine.
Oh god! He was like Prince Charming in the eyes of all women!
"Mommy is impressed by my good looks, and it helps her to wake up every day." Zephaniah was very confident. After all, he had such an aesthetically
pleasing face.
Winslow covered her mouth and laughed. If another child had uttered this, she would probably find fault with the child. However, when this little guy said this, he was absolutely right!
At this time, Winslow's cell phone suddenly rang. She picked it up and answered the call. It was her father. "Hello, dad? What's wrong with you? Are you hurt? Okay, I'll come over right now."
After saying that, Winslow was so frightened that her face turned pale. She quickly said to the little fellow, "I'll go to your mommy to ask for a leave. Don't run around."
"Miss Winslow, if you have something urgent to deal with, you should go quickly! I won't run around," The little fellow said in a sensible manner, and he followed her to his Mommy's office.
In the office, Vivianna was carefully completing her designs on the drafting papers.
Suddenly, Winslow pushed the door open and came in with tears in her eyes. "Miss Carlewood, my father just had a car accident. I need to go to the hospital right now. Can I ask for a leave?"
Vivianna was shocked and she nodded quickly. "Okay! Go quickly!"
Winslow returned to her position, picked up her bag, and rushed to the elevator.
Vivianna looked at the little guy in the office and said softly, "Miss Winslow left because of urgent matters. Be a good boy, okay?"
