Mistake With The Alpha Chapter 145

Samantha's

POV

I was feeling so tired so I laid on the sofa to relax. Jay's mother has gone to the kitchen to prepare me juice like she said. I wondered what emergency Jay had. I just prayed in my heart that he should be fine and nothing should be wrong at the pack house. Susan and Haley were with Jay's mother so there was none to talk to. I drifted off to sleep. As I slept, I noticed I was getting quite tired. My baby was due in two weeks. I was quite happy about it. I'll soon be a mother.

As I slept, I was a woman as if she was coming out of my wrist band. I couldn't open my eyes well. She was talking but I couldn't hear what she was saying well. I tried hard to open my eyes but it wouldn't open. I tried lifting my body but it won't lift. What the heck is happening to me! I'm so scared right now. I'm scared for my baby. I didn't want anything to be wrong with it. I tried again to talk but it was as if something was stuck in my throat. The more I struggle, the weaker I get.

This woman I couldn't see clearly. What she's doing to me I don't know. The bead I wore was squeezing my wrist so tight and it was affecting my throat. It was like I'm going to die any moment from now. This can't be true. I just got married. I have a baby inside of me. I don't want to die now.

I cried so hard even when my voice couldn't be heard. Just as I thought I was going to die, I heard Jay's mother call me.

"Sam," she called.

Immediately everything that was happening to me stopped and I was able to open my eyes. I was sweating all over.

"Sam what's wrong? Why are you sweating this much" she asked, looking alarmed.

I looked at her panting. I couldn't find my voice for a while. Then I looked at the wristband on my wrist. I could see it blinking red.

"Mom, look at this" I stretched my hand to her.

She took my hand and looked at it intensively.

"What's wrong with it?" She asked.

Then I know that she's not seeing what I'm seeing. Then I remembered that Jay also wears the same bead that I'm putting on. If what happened to me now happens to him, he'll definitely be in trouble.

I stumbled to the table phone close to the wine bar. I intended to run but then I didn't have the strength to. Jay's mother was behind me, making sure I didn't fall. I dialled Jay's number and he picked immediately as if expecting me to call. "Jay..." I called in my weak voice.

Yes I was very weak. It seems that the bead was designed to drain our strength. That's what I thought then I decided to see if Jay is fine.

"Sam!"

Jay's agitated voice came out of the receiver.

"What's wrong?" He asked quickly.

"The bead...." I groaned. "The wrist bead..... Pull... It.... Out. I think it has magic in it "I manage to say.

My voice was extremely shaking and getting low.

"Magic!" Jay and his mother exclaimed.

"Ye... ssss. it's... Choking me...... me... just now" I said and dropped the receiver.

As weak as I am, I wasn't able to drop the receiver back to its hang. I just left it dangling there. I fumbled my way back to the sofa. With Jay's mother's help, I was able to get back to the sofa without falling.

I realised that I was getting weaker and weaker. I couldn't even lift my other hand to remove the wrist bead. I tried lifting up the hand that has the bead. Jay's mother looking at me knew what I wanted. She boldly pulled out the bead from my wrist and threw it on the centre table.

Immediately she removed it, my weakening stopped. Slowly my strength starts to come back. Jay's mother didn't even ask me questions like others will. She just asked me one question.

"Are you getting better now?" She asked with a very concerned look.

I nodded my head while I laid down breathing slowly. I was glad she was here with me when this was happening. If not, I would have died. I was still sweating. Jay's mother didn't send anyone to get her the towel, she went herself and came back quickly. She mobbed my face with the wet towel.

Susan and Haley, the maids, volunteered to do it but she wouldn't give any of them. She was quite scared and shakened. I wouldn't blame her. When she left me in the kitchen I was fine, then she returned to see me almost dying. This scared me who it happened to, talk more of the one staying with me. As she used the wet towel on my face, I was getting relieved little by little. Even the shaking of my body was reducing. Today's event is something I'll never forget in my life. I was so terrified.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

Soon, Jaylen burst in. Drey was at his trail. I wondered where those two met. Those two never agreed on anything.

"Sam!" Jay called running towards me.

I tried to sit up. Then he got to my side, carried me up and supported me with his body. His mother stood up from where she squatted and gave him the towel.

"Thanks mom," Jay said.

"I'm fine now" I said with a stiff smile.

"I just left not up to an hour. What the hell happened?" He asked his mother.

Well he was looking at her, not me. I decided to answer the question. The poor woman wouldn't know what happened since I've not told her anything. "That".

I pointed my index finger to the bead on the table top.

They all looked at the direction and just as Drey was about to stand up to go see what it was, the door burst open. The surprising thing was that it was a black large wolf that appeared. The maids were scared. I was the only one who didn't seem to know the wolf. I shrinked more to Jay's body.
