Master Odell’s Secret Ex-wife

Chapter 201

Chapter 201

Harley smiled and remarked courteously, "No need to thank me. Go on and dig in."

Sylvia smiled reluctantly, and she had Liam and Isabel sit with her as well.

Shortly after that, the seats next to them were gradually filled. Apart from Harley and several other people, the ones who had previously shunned Sylvia because of Nesta and Tara began to flock over.

They looked at Sylvia with a faint sense of guilt and remorse. Still, they made sure to take the initiative to greet her politely.

Sylvia knew that they had simply been misled by Tara and Nesta and decided to not hold it against them considering they were just young students. She smiled politely and responded to them warmly.

Upon sensing her mother's friendly attitude towards them, Isabel proceeded to greet the crowd politely too.

This only served to increase the guilt they felt. Finally, one of them could not bear it any longer and blurted out, Miss, we're very sorry about what happened yesterday. We apologize for having misunderstood you."This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Sylvia answered, "It's alright, it's all in the past now, don't worry about it."

They heaved a collective sigh of relief when they observed how easygoing Sylvia was.

One of them tried to ease the mood by asking cautiously, "Well, would you mind taking a look at our work today?"

Sylvia replied without skipping a beat, "Sure, of course!"

Immediately after that, a jovial air took over.

It was around this time when Tara and Nesta showed up. Nesta was walking behind Tara. She wore several layers of clothing and even donned a hat. She sneezed several times as soon as she walked in as she must have caught a cold after what happened yesterday.

As soon as they entered, the students crowded around Sylvia lowered their heads and pretended not to notice Tara and Nesta's entrance.

An awkward wave of silence swept over them.

Tara scowled and looked in Sylvia's direction.

Sylvia crossed her arms across her chest and returned a look at her with a smile across her face.

Tara found a nearby seat and sat down with a sullen look on her face while Nesta kept her head down and sat opposite her.

Most of the students had completed their work.

Sylvia did not join them at the painting zone and joined them at the courtyard of the dormitory instead where she began browsing their work and giving feedback where necessary.

Liam was with her, and he was focused on playing with his Rubik's cube. Isabel followed her mother everywhere she went and studied the paintings as if she was an expert in the subject.

There was much conversation and laughter as they discussed one another's work, and the atmosphere was rather merry.

Tara stood by herself for a long time, but not a single soul went up to her. She was furious and eventually stomped back to her room and began packing.

Nesta, who shared a room with her, could tell something was wrong and returned to the room to find her. She asked in concern, "Tara, what's wrong?"

Tara tried her best to suppress the anger in her voice, "I'm packing up and going back to Westchester."

'The event doesn't end until tomorrow. Are you really going back today?"

Tara expressed with a sigh, "Yeah, there's nothing for me to do here anyway."

Nesta would have tried to persuade her to stay, but now she knew that the circumstances had changed. After she looked out of the window and saw the group still chatting away merrily, she sighed and agreed, "You're right. I'll pack up too."

Nesta was about to head out when a thought suddenly occurred to her. She abruptly turned to Tara, "Tara, may I ask you something?"

Tara responded with a smile, "What's the matter?"

Nesta asked with an intent look in her eyes, "Have you ever treated me as your friend?"

Tara chuckled at the question. "Of course, I treat you as my friend!"

'Then, why didn't you tell me that Sylvia was Master Carter's ex-wife? Were you using me as a scapegoat?"
