Chapter 1812

Caprice looked at the door that was tightly shut and muttered, “Daddy?” John answered, “It’s me, I’m outside. Would you open the door for Daddy?” “Okay.” Caprice promptly hopped off the couch and waddled to the door. Isabel and Flint stepped in front of her, cutting off her path.

Isabel gently brushed the top of Caprice’s head and tried to recruit her into their game. “Caprice, we're playing a game with Uncle John, you can’t open the door yet.”

Flint nodded. “That’s right!” Caprice tilted her head to the side in confusion. She did not understand why they were trying to play games with her father.

That was when she heard John’s muffled voice behind the door again. “Caprice, Daddy wants to go inside to see Mommy, please open the door for me.”

“Okay,” Caprice answered swiftly. She turned to Isabel and Flint. “Sister Isabel, Brother Flint, could you let me open the door for my Daddy?”

When she raised the question, they could not help but notice the earnest look in her bright, sparkly eyes. The way her adorable chubby cheeks puffed up made it nearly impossible to refuse her request.

Flint pursed his lips and looked at Isabel.

Isabel seemed very conflicted.

However, before she could decide what to do, Liam approached.

He stood behind Caprice and looked at Isabel with a calm and authoritative look in his eyes. “Let Caprice open the door.” Isabel became slightly upset.

She could understand her father helping Uncle John, but why was her brother opposing her as well?

All she wanted to do was to test Uncle John’s resolve.

She felt someone tugging her.

It was Flint who was tugging at her. He gave her a pleading look, asking her to allow Caprice to open the door. He was afraid of upsetting Liam because he knew both of them were no match for their elder brother.

Isabel took a deep breath, then she stepped aside at last.

“Thank you, Brother Liam, thank you, Sister Isabel and Brother Flint “Caprice thanked them all politely then she approached the door. She had to prop herself up on her tiptoes to reach the door handle and tug

Meanwhile, Sylvia, who had witnessed the entire interaction, cast a furtive smile in Sherry’s direction. Sherry saw everything that happened too

He had a remarkably commanding aura for someone his age

At last, John was given entry.

The door was finally unlocked and drawn open.

The tall figure of a man was immediately revealed behind the door.

He was wearing a tailored suit of the finest quality that accentuated his figure and his height.

The white shirt he wore underneath the suit complemented his fair complexion perfectly. He smiled gently. He held a bouquet in his hand. The moment the door opened, he looked past Caprice, Liam, and the other children and immediately located Sherry with pinpoint accuracy.

He flashed a charming smile in her direction.

Sherry greeted him with a shy smile.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

With that, he walked up to her and presented her with the bouquet.

Sherry took the wonderful bouquet and admired its beauty. Before she could rise, she felt a pair of large, strong arms wrapped around her waist and lifted her off the ground.

John moved with purpose. He immediately marched toward the door as if afraid someone would bar the door again. Sylvia was aghast.

The children were just as shocked.

Ignored by her father, Caprice pouted and complained, “Why didn’t Daddy wait for me?”

Liam comforted her. “Uncle John is in a rush to marry your mommy, he didn’t mean to ignore you.”

Caprice felt slightly better, though the disappointment still showed on her face.

Liam consoled her. “Come, let’s go with them.”

With that, he took her hand.

Caprice smiled happily. “Okay!” The pair walked out together.
