Master Odell’s Secret Ex-wife

Chapter 1743

Chapter 1743

Sherry was probably counting how much she had to spend for the meal. She noticed the man’s gaze and it irritated her. “What are you looking at?”

John smiled. “Nothing. | just want to look at you.”

Sherry choked. She wanted to argue, but Caprice reached out to her face with her tiny hands.

The girl held her collar and said, “Mommy, don’t be angry at Daddy.”

Sherry was forced to swallow her grievance. She said, “Mommy isn’t angry at Daddy. I’m just teasing him.” John was left speechless, and so was Caprice.

Caprice added, “Mommy, don’t tease Daddy. Daddy is scared.”

Sherry said with a smile, “He’s thick-faced. He won't be scared so easily.”

Caprice pouted in confusion. Being thick-faced and cowardly had nothing in relation. Before she could figure out the question, the waiter returned with the dishes.

The dishes served were mostly vegetarian, but they were decorated meticulously. Caprice’s eyes widened in astonishment. Sherry put some broccoli on the girl’s plate. The girl ate happily, and Sherry started eating as well.

The dishes tasted excellent. More dishes were served as they ate, and soon the table was filled. Each and every dish looked captivating and delicious.

Caprice could not stop munching. Her stomach started to bloat, yet she still wanted to eat.

Sherry had to stop the girl from eating herself to death. She ate quite a lot as well, but there were still a lot of leftovers on the table. She did not want to waste them, and since she was paying, she continued eating.

Until her stomach was on the verge of exploding, she put down her fork and spoon and burped satisfyingly. The man chuckled.NôvelDrama.Org holds this content.

Sherry glared at him.

The man pursed his lips innocently and turned a deaf ear at her.

Sherry looked at Caprice. The girl was already dozing off.

Knowing that she had to carry the girl and pay at the same time, she looked at John, signaling him to help. “Why are you still sitting there?”

John smiled. He got up and carried Caprice into his arms.

Sherry grabbed her purse and led the father and daughter downstairs. She walked to the counter

and gave the cashier her credit card. The cashier swiped her card and returned it to her.

Then, she received a notification on her phone, telling her that she had just used nearly sixty thousand on her card. Sherry gasped in shock.

It was then a tall shadow approached her.

The man’s soft and comforting voice echoed in her ears, “Fifty-something? It’s okay.”

Okay? Fifty thousand plus for dinner was okay? She could eat herself to death with just one to two hundred! Sherry wanted to glare at him, but she spotted the girl dozing off on his shoulder. Once again, she swallowed her grievance.

Since her daughter loved it, she was willing to spend it. Thankfully, she could make more money. She side—-eyed him and headed outside.

John and Caprice followed her out.

As soon as they stepped out of the restaurant, the waiters and cashier started to talk behind their backs.

“The man is so handsome, but he’s using that woman’s money.”

Sherry and John were outside the restaurant. It was quiet outside, and they overheard it before the door closed. She immediately looked at John. Her eyes were like the milky way, dazzling and shimmering.

John was silenced for a while. He held his smiling urge back and feigned an innocent look.

Sherry giggled happily and pocketed her hands as she strutted forward. It was as though she was the richest woman in Coastrock.

John held his laughter back and followed her to the car.
