Sylvia choked on her breath and asked, "Tell me what I did wrong first."

Odell gave her a side glance. "In the essay, remember to explain to me clearly why you concealed your identity as Sunflower from me."

Sylvia was flabbergasted.

'It's because I didn't tell him I was Sunflower?'

She protested, "You never asked me."

"Just because I didn't ask you, it doesn't mean you can hide it."

Sylvia was puzzled. "Why not? Who are you to me? Why do I have to tell you about this?"

The reason why she did not want to say anything was that she wanted to live in peace and quiet.

However, the moment she said that, Odell's expression darkened.

Sylvia felt the temperature around her plummet. She shrunk and looked at him in confusion. She did not scold him and was just telling the truth.

Why was he suddenly upset?

He looked at her coldly.

After a while, he said, "It's true that you're no one to me, but you're Isabel and Liam's mother. Because you hid it from me, you indirectly made me misunderstand your relationship with Tristan, and also indirectly caused you not to see them.

"Because you couldn't see them, they throw tantrums at me every day, so I'm in a bad mood.

Sylvia was speechless. She felt that there was something wrong with that logic, but she could not determine exactly what. She pursed her lips.

Odell saw her like this and snorted. "Why aren't you saying anything?"

"Well, everything you said is right." Her exasperated tone sounded like she could not be bothered to argue with him.

Odell's expression sank again.

She was speechless. She already said that he was right. Why was he getting angry?

However, the most important thing for her was meeting her children. She said, "You said that they throw tantrums at you every day because they can't see me. If you'd let me meet with them sooner, they wouldn't mess with you, and your mood would change for the better.

Sylvia smiled innocently at him after she finished speaking.

Odell's expression softened. Then, he walked around the desk to stand in front of her. His straight waist bent down as he looked at her from up close. "What you said makes sense."

Sylvia's eyes lit up. 'If it makes sense, then let me see the children quickly.'

Odell saw her anticipation and said, "But you still have to write the 10,000-word essay." Sylvia's eyes instantly dimmed.

"If you don't, then don't think about meeting them."

She could not help but glare at him. "You're just doing this to mess with me because you don't like me."

He clearly knew that Tristan and she had nothing to do with one another.

He clearly knew that she did not do those dirty deeds.

He clearly could let her see the children, but he still wanted her to write a reflective essay. Furthermore, it had to be 10,000 words!

He was messing with her. There was no other explanation.

When Odell saw her eyes widen and her face puff up in anger, he could not help but pinch her chin. He said in a low voice, "So what if I am?"

Sylvia instantly choked on her anger.

After two seconds, she could not hold back and opened her mouth to spit at him, spraying his face.

Odell was silent. His stern brows furrowed, and his face darkened. The cold light in his eyes was like an icy knife, chillingly stabbing her.

Sylvia's gaze shrank. When she thought of the two children, she immediately regretted her impulse. She blinked and said, "Something got stuck in my throat. I didn't mean to spit at you."

Odell smiled coldly. "Do you take me for a fool?"

If there was something stuck in her throat, she would have coughed, not spit! Sylvia pursed her lips. Since she already spat at him, she could not take it back.
