Redmption 110
Redmption 110
I went back to the office, and it just so happened that Chris was also there.
“Mr. Gildon, here’s my resignation letter. My resignation has also been. submitted via the phone application to the human resources department.” I handed him the resignation letter that I had prepared long ago.
I
Chris skimmed through it and flung it on the table. He glared at me. “Madeline, you’re getting more and more out of hand.”
He still thought that I was messing around. However, I never messed around with him from the moment we met until now.
Previously, it was because I was staying with his family, so I had no right to be troublesome. Later, I liked him, so I tried to be pleasant as well.
– Actually, before my parents passed away I was the apple of their eye.
Naturally, I had a bit of a temper and could be childish and selfish. After I stayed with the Gildons, things like throwing tantrums disappeared from my
life.
“Am I the kind of person to mess around? What have I ever done to trouble you? “I asked lightly.
Chris opened his mouth, but he couldn’t say anything. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
I was determined to make things clear. “Between us, you’re the one who has always been messing around. In your eyes, I’m just your toy.
“You will pet my head and cajole me when you’re bored, but when life is grand. for you, you will toss me aside.”
“If you think of me like that, you’re really quite heartless,” Chris rebuked.
He would never think he was wrong, so no matter what I said, he wouldn’t
admit it.
I laughed mockingly. “Yes. I’m heartless.
“What kind of attitude is this? Have I wronged you?” He seemed like he wanted to settle scores with me.
I merely looked at him. “No. You’re so amazing, yet I still want to break up with
you. Aren’t I heartless?”
Chris‘ face nearly turned green. “Stop saying such weird things.”
“Then, what do you want me to say? Chris, you are angry at me, so everything I say or do is wrong. I’ll get out of your sight if I leave! Isn’t that much better?”
Chris‘ hand that was placed on the table started knocking on it in irritation.” Madeline, I know the reason for your temper tantrum isn’t because of me. It’s because your affections have changed.”
He was so determined to blame me that he started pulling things out of his arse!
“You’ve been hooking up with Brandon for a long time, right?” Chris asked directly.
Since he was so certain, I couldn’t care less about refuting him. “Not as long as you and Jewel.”
He jumped from his chair. “Are you really with him?”
Ah, so he was just trying to bait me. I reminded him, “That’s my business. I don’t think I have to inform you. We broke up, and you agreed to it.”
“I did not,” Chris replied. His audacity surprised me.
He strode around his office table to stand in front of me. Then, he grabbed me and pulled me against his chest.
His arms circled around me. “Madeline, have you forgotten who you are? You are my woman, and you’ve been one since the day you entered the Gildon family.”
His expression was daunting, but I was unafraid. “Yes. I also thought I was your wife, so I stayed by your side like an obedient lapdog.
“However, you were the one who ditched me halfway. Since you prefer the women outside, especially widows, I’ll agree to your wishes. Isn’t that perfect?”
“Stop this nonsense! There’s nothing going on between Jewel and me!” he denied again.
“Chris, I never thought that you would stoop so low. You’ve kissed her, but you call it nothing. Then, what counts as something? Sleeping together or knocking
her up as well?” I hurt him with my unforgiving words.
