Love The Roommate

Chapter 6

Chapter 6

I exited the staff room after my ten minutes break, only to see Alex sitting there with a blonde girl.

I stopped in my tracks as I stared at them. Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

It's been two days. Two days since I talked to Alex. Since I saw him. He would wake up early before me and come back late after I sleep. And he never came during the day. I just couldn't catch up with him.

And now, when I see him, he is sitting there with another girl. It kinda hurt. Like we were laughing and talking two days ago and now he is moved to the next in line.

I never should trust boys. I always put that in mind. I don't know why Alex even mattered to me; he is just a boy I know for six days now and is living with me.

Wasn't that what you said last time?

I stared ahead as this question rang in my mind.

No, no, I can't like Alex. He is just my roommate.

Your roommate whom you like.

No, this can't be. Last time was enough.

No one can live without love, don't you remember?

Just shut it. I shook my head to get rid of this annoying voice.

"You okay?" Kelvin's voice sounded beside me. I turned around as he put his hand on my shoulder.

"What's the matter?" Kelvin sounded slightly worried.

"Nothing. I am okay." I smiled a little.

"You sure?"

"Yeah," I nodded.

He stared at me for a second then nodded and went back beside Harry to get the orders.

I looked back at Alex. He was talking with the blonde girl as she gave him a flirting smile.

I shook my head as I was about to go and ask either Sandra or Veronica to go and take their orders. But both of them were quite busy with other tables. Only I was free.

I sighed and walked to their table, feeling my stomach flip.

"But Alex-" The blonde girl was saying as I got closer.

I cleared my throat, gaining both of their attention. The blonde girl looked at me with boredom while Alex with surprise and shock.

"What may I get for you?" I asked politely, putting a fake smile on my face.

"Jessy? What are you doing here?" Alex instead asked, seeming like he didn't even hear what I said.

But before I could answer, the blonde girl stepped in. "Wait, you know her?"

"Um, yeah, Jessy is my... Friend." Alex said as he stared at me, while I stared back, feeling tense.

"I never heard of her." The girl stared at me with a clenched jaw.

"Well, because it never came a chance." Alex shrugged.

"Um... What are your orders?" I asked, feeling uncomfortable as I held the small notebook to take their orders.

"Coffee, with one sugar. Not two, you understand?" The girl commanded.

I really wanted to slap her face with brown eyes to no end, but I instead nodded, writing it down in my paper and turned around as I stated at Alex, waiting for his order.

"Coffee. Three sugars, please." Alex said as he continued staring. I wrote it down and without any other word; I turned around and walked to Kelvin to give him the order.

"That's your roommate, isn't it?" Kelvin asked as he took the paper and went on his way to make it.

"Yeah," I nodded.

"Is that his girlfriend?" He pointed at the blonde girl, who seemed like she was arguing with Alex.

"I don't know, maybe." I stared at my hands as I put them in front of me on the bar.

"If she is, then he is a lucky one. She is hot!" Harry said as he glanced at us.

"I heard that Harry!" Sandra said as she stood in front of him with crossed arms.

"You know I am only joking, babe. No one is hotter than you." Harry said as he stared at her. The words seemed truth, like he really meant them. Which maybe he did.

"Awe, thanks honey." Sandra leaned on the bar and peaked Harry's lips. As she pulled back, Harry's eyes went down to her half bared chest. Her blouse had gone down a little when she leaned on the bar which caught Harry's attention immediately.

I chuckled as Sandra looked from him to where he was looking and shook her head, muttering as she put the order in the bar and left. "Pervert."

"I am your pervert!" Harry called after her making some people turn and look at him as Sandra turned around and stared at him in shock as she mouthed, "Unbelievable."

I couldn't hold it anymore as I laughed out loud and Kelvin joined me.

"Shut up, you two." Harry rolled his eyes, which made me laugh harder along Kelvin.

"Guys, get back to work." Louise came and shocks his head in disapproval, but the small smile on his face said otherwise.

"Sorry, Louise." My chuckles were still there as I said.

"Here, Jessy." Kelvin handed the tray which had Alex's and the blonde's order.

I took it with a grin matching his as I turned around.

But once my eyes rested on their table, my smile whipped away.

I took a deep breath as I walked to their table. My stomach was in knots as if something bad will happen. Which it did.

"Here is your order. Enjoy." I said as I replaced the cups in front of them. Alex gave me that blank expression that I stood nothing from. While the blonde gave me an evil smirk as she stopped me from going back to continue getting the orders. "Wait there."

I turned around and stared at her with a frown.

"Wait there." She said as she lifted her cup up and took a sip. She made a disgusted face as she pointed at the cup. "I said one sugar. Not two."

"Um, I am sure it has only one. The order was clear." I said as I shook my head, staring at her annoying brown eyes.

Seriously, my blue eyes are way better. Sorry, it's not arrogance but still. I have a point.

"Well, no. It's clearly more than one sugar. Are you saying I am a liar or something?" She stared at me with an angry expression.

"Of course not, miss. I didn't say that. I am just saying that the order was only one sugar, I am sure." I said.

"Shh, don't talk so much. Go and get me another cup!" And with that she threw the hot cup of coffee on my work shirt.

Ugh, the bitch!
