Chapter 212 Hoping It Meets Your Satisfaction

Sierra entered the dressing room and changed into a pink gown, though her expression remained notably displeased.

She angrily dialed Olivia’s number. “Mom, aren’t I enough? Why involve Maggie? Do you realize how she humiliated me in front of everyone? If you continue to rely on Maggie, I might as well give up!”

Upon hearing this. Olivia, filled with anxiety, quickly replied. “Sierra, this isn’t the time for emotional outbursts. We’re going through difficult times at home. If you can help improve our situation, you’ll have every reason to be proud in the future. Maggie could never measure up to you then!”

Olivia had voiced similar concerns before, yet the thought of Maggie continued to unsettle her even then.

I understand she’s here for the criticisms, but I can still win without her and help better our family’s situation. Why must we tolerate her presence?”

Sierra remained upset, prompting Olivia to interject swiftly, “You’re our biological daughter. Your father is merely using Maggie to clear a path for you. So, don’t be stupid. She’s already entangled in family affairs, and now they’re looking to pin the blame on her. Keep your distance from her. Don’t get mixed up in her

affairs.”

Sierra’s eyes betrayed a trace of resentment, yet she also recognized that winning the competition was crucial for regaining control within the Camerons.

“Fine, but Maggie’s jewelry must not overshadow mine.”

The Camerons did not supply Maggie’s dress, so Sierra was fine with that. However, given that Maggie also had to wear the Camerons jewelry, it must not outshine her own.

Olivia swiftly reassured her, “Don’t fret, I promise that no one will outshine you on the stage.”

Sierra’s complexion brightened slightly upon hearing this.

Meanwhile, on the other side.

Mia unwrapped the jewelry the Camerons sent for Maggie and frowned.

While the quality of the jewelry was acceptable, it could not quite match Sierra’s style and quality; nonetheless, it was decent.

However, unlike Sierra’s high–end jewelry, Maggie’s set prominently displayed the logo of Luster Corporation. Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

The rubies had a somewhat outdated style, but what infuriated Mia was the logo emblazoned on the jewelry.

She angrily tossed the box onto the dressing table, startling Heidi.

“Is this the jewelry the Camerons arranged for you? Do they think you’re stupid?”

Mia was so mad that she wanted to laugh.

Chapter 212 Hoping It Meets Your Satisfaction

Having lived for many years, Mia had never encountered a reputable jewelry brand prominently displaying such a large logo.

It was simply too conspicuous!

Maggie remained impassive; the items were recently sent by Olivia.

With a glance, she tossed them aside.

Indeed, she was merely a scapegoat; otherwise, why were there no logos on Sierra’s jewelry?

It was because they wanted Sierra to refrain from receiving criticism!

“Are you sure you want to wear that? How embarrassing!” Mia could not hold back her anger, voicing her frustration.

Why would Maggie, with her stunning appearance, wear such an unappealing piece?

She was not lacking in funds anyway!

Maggie retrieved the necklace and twirled it in her hand, lost in contemplation.

Just then, Sierra returned and cast a disdainful glance at the jewelry in Maggie’s grasp, sneering. “You’ve never seen such precious jewelry, right? While this set of rubies may not be top–tier, it suits you adequately!

Sierra’s eyes exuded unmistakable disdain and contempt as she admired the finer and more luxurious necklace gracing her own neck, experiencing a surge of pride in regaining some dignity.

At that instant, Alex approached Maggie, holding a black briefcase, and addressed her with respect.

“Ms. Adam, Mr. Harris is profoundly grateful for your previous assistance. Upon learning about your performance today, he tasked me with delivering this jewelry set to you, hoping it meets your satisfaction.”

Alex maintained an air of unfamiliarity with Maggie as he completed his statement, then opened the briefcase and offered it to her.

The commotion had attracted the attention of many, prompting quite a few to stand up and crane their necks for a better view.

“Oh my goodness! So the mysterious wealthy buyer at Soria Auction House was Mr. Harris!”

“Yeah, I heard about that as well. The ruby set went under the hammer at Soria Auction House about two weeks ago, fetching one hundred and fifty million and causing quite a stir. Nobody knew the identity of the bidder back then, but it turns out it was Mr. Harris, who then gifted it to Maggie

“It’s gorgeous. Look at them side by side. The other set appears dull and lifeless in comparison. Individually, they’re both beautiful, but together, I can’t even notice the other set.”

“Isn’t the other one from the Camerons? That box looks like it’s straight from Luster Corporation. The Camerons really can’t match up when it comes to jewelry. No good designers, no good materials, no conscience, how do they even compete?”

“Yeah, check out the Camerons‘ design. That oversized logo? What era are we in? They’re so behind the times! The Camerons never miss a chance to disappoint.”

With that, a bunch of eyes went back to Sierra’s neck, and the whispers started up again.

“Isn’t Sierra’s necklace also from the Camerons? It might look a bit better than Maggie’s, but it’s still way off the mark compared to what Mr. Harris sent!”

Totally, look at the color, it’s neither clear nor vibrant, and the design is just meh. Must be another

Cameron creation.”

The whispers persisted, making Sierra’s face flush with anger.

She glared at the jewelry set Alex had delivered, feeling a burning sensation on her neck and an even hotter one on her face.

It seemed like the jewelry Maggie wore was genuine, while what she had on felt like a low–quality imitation!

It was utterly humiliating; she felt like she had lost all her dignity!

Mia felt a surge of delight, her mood buoyant as she grinned, “Mr. Harris is always so generous, Looks like those subpar goods from the Camerons are only fit for Ms. Cameron herself. Our Maggie doesn’t deserve them!”

With no regard for politeness, she tossed the set of rubies from the Camerons, along with the box, into. Sierra’s arms.

Her abrupt action prompted Sierra to instinctively catch it. After that, Sierra shot a cold glance at Maggie. “Maggie, do you know why you’re participating in this competition? You’re wearing and using the Camerons‘ belongings. We’ve raised you for so many years, so if you’re not adorned in Luster’s jewelry, don’t blame me for being blunt with you!”

Maggie remained unfazed, a smirk gracing her lips as she looked at Mia beside her, “Did you capture that on video?”

Mia arched her eyebrows, some regret coloring her expression. “Of course, but Ms. Cameron might not look too flattering on camera.”
