Jojo and Coco's Unexpected Love

Chapter 667 Chloe Hates You to the Core

Chapter 667 Chloe Hates You to the Core

Stunned, Lucas asked, "Why are we going to the Sullivan estate?"

Joseph looked into the distance, his gaze deep and his face unreadable. "I'm going to confirm something."

The evening sun bathed the Sullivan estate in a warm golden hue. Desmond sat in the courtyard, leisurely savoring his hot tea while relishing the serenity of the moment. Just then, a butler hurriedly approached him and said, "Sir, Mr. Joseph is here."

Desmond's hands trembled as he recalled the disrespectful words his unruly grandson had said to Joseph. He was aware of Chloe's death, and since then, Noah had been holed up in his room. It was unlikely that he had any contact with Joseph recently.

With these thoughts in mind, Desmond calmed himself and said, "Please let him in."

Joseph followed the butler through the estate and finally took a seat beside Desmond. Before the latter could speak, Joseph stated, "Mr. Desmond, I've come to see Noah." Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

Desmond was taken aback. It appeared that Joseph had discovered Noah's attempt to woo Chloe. He felt a bit embarrassed as he asked, "Why do you want to see him? He's grounded."

"I have some questions to ask him," Joseph replied, seemingly calm. But upon listening closely, one would detect a tinge of nervousness and anticipation in his voice.

Desmond was well aware that Joseph's visit was not for a friendly conversation with Noah. However, he could not find a valid reason to refuse, especially since they were on the Sullivan estate. Even if Joseph harbored ill intentions, he would not dare to act out of line here. Thus, Desmond instructed the butler to take Joseph to Noah’s room.

Inside, Noah was deeply engrossed in his calligraphy practice. When he looked up and saw Joseph, his expression froze in a look of surprise. He had not anticipated Joseph to notice something so soon.

The butler led Joseph to a seat and discreetly closed the door upon leaving. Joseph strode forward, grabbed Noah’s pen, and threw it on the floor. The ink splattered everywhere, staining both their clothes.

Grabbing Noah by the collar, Joseph said with conviction, "Chloe’s alive, isn't she?"

Noah froze for a moment before looking into Joseph’s eyes, saying, "She was burned to ashes. What do you think?"

"What were you doing at the hospital that night?" Joseph questioned sternly, bringing up the hospital's surveillance footage of Noah on his phone.

"Getting a check-up."

"And what about those phone calls every three days before the fire? Just exchanging pleasantries?"

Joseph's tone was firm. Though his face remained impassive, the creases in his forehead revealed the brewing jealousy he had been holding back. Not only had he reviewed all the surveillance footage from the hospital, but he had also gone through Chloe's phone.

The phone number Noah used to contact her was a new one, and without investigation, Joseph would never have known it was Noah. But the problem was that why did they call each other every three days?

He had a feeling about the answer, but he did not want to accept it.

Noah showed no sign of embarrassment upon being exposed. Instead, a twisted smile spread across his delicate face as he burst into manic laughter. "Yes, we had plans to run away! Coco rued every second she was near you. She found you repulsive because you ruined her life. She hates you from the depths of her soul!"

Pow!

With rage in his eyes and a crimson flush on his face, Joseph punched Noah in the face as he snarled fiercely, "Shut up!"

"I won't shut up. Can't you feel her hatred toward you? If you could bring her back, she’d surely choose death over you." Noah's voice was soft, but each word that escaped his lips stung like a venomous arrow. "Do you want to kill her twice?"
