I Rejected You, Alpha

AIDEN’S POV

I was sure that my mate would come back to bed , but I fell asleep and when I woke up a minute ago, her side of the bed was untouched.

I prop myself up onto my elbow , staring at her side of the bed where she’s suppose to be sleeping.

I really didn’t do anything wrong, but she needs to trust me because she can’t really lie, which means she’ll ruin everything before Selena comes and puts a protection spell on us.

There’s a tug at my mind link and I open up my thoughts to wherever wants to talk .

“Alpha, it’s the team from the gates..we can’t get in.” they announce, making me frown as I sit up.

“What do you mean you can’t get in?” I grab a shirt, pulling it over my head and slip my feet into my running shoes before I rush downstairs.

“There’s some sort of barrier, it shocks.” the warrior informs me .

“f**k, just give me a minute.” I cut the link and rush into the kitchen, grabbing salt before throwing it on the floor in a triangle .

“Selena Dubra, hear me, see me, appear before me.” I chant three times until the air in front of me rips open into a portal and she stands on the other wise, “What seems to be the problem ?” she seethes, glaring at me.

“My warriors can’t enter. When did you do the spell?” I frown, wanting to step inside of her portal and strangle her.

“When the sun rose , but if you beg…I will let anyone with the link connected to you enter.” the devilish smile on her face sickens me.

“Selena please..” I start, ” ON YOUR KNEES ,Moon.” she bellows, her aura almost sending me tumbling back.

Baring my teeth, I lower to my knees, letting my head fall.

“Please, let my people into their home.” I beg and she hums for the longest time, my b***d pulsing in my ears as I wait for her reply.

” I already let them in, you can stand now. I just love seeing you on your knees for me.” her tone is teasing and I wish I could rip her head off.

“Thank you.” I grit out , my jaw tense.

“Until next time.” she winks and I step out of the salt triangle and rush out, seeing my men walking towards my house in confusion.

“No one leaves the territory .” I mind link everyone.

“What the hell happened Alpha?” one asks and I sigh, “Just forget about outside , do rounds inside and don’t step foot out until I say so.”

I turn and strut towards Stefan’s front door, my hand raking through my messy hair.

I slam my fist against the door, “We’re coming !” Rosie’s sharp voice echoes from the inside out.

I stand with my toes repeatedly tapping against the floor , glaring at the door as I wait for it to open.

When it finally opens, it’s my mate’s best friend instead of mine.

“He’s making breakfast.” she steps aside with her flushed cheeks and messy hair.

I hum as I brush past her, forcing a smile even if I want to punch a hole into something until I can’t feel my limbs.

“Stefan.” I sit down at their small wooden table, the chair pointed toward Stefan as he cuts tomatoes.

“I’m listening .” he deadpans, not looking up at me .

” There are Lycans that are after our pack.” I blurt out and he freezes, his eyes shifting from the red tomato up to me.

“Who did you piss off?” he grits out.

“The woman’s family who took Felix three years ago.” My fingers drag over my forehead.

“Are you shitting me? She was a Lycan ?” he drops the knife on the cutting board , staring at me like I’m insane, “Apparently, or her father is and she got her mother’s genes..point is.. they are super pissed.” ,”And super powerful.” he scoffs, “We’re going to die, aren’t we?” he c***s his head at me and Rosie just stands next to him, staring at me with fear fulled eyes.

“No, I asked Selena..” , Stefan begins to scoff and laugh , shaking his head and I wish he would stop.

I glare at him and he sucks his lips into his mouth, “Continue .” he manages to say without smiling, “I asked her for a protection spell and it looks like she threw a dome over our territory or some kind of wall. I don’t know.” I sigh and he just nods, but I could tell he wanted to say something.

“Just say it .” I roll my eyes, “What was the payment this time ? s*x again ?” he teases, “What?” Rosie gasps , “No, I have a mate idiot.” I seethe, “But did you want to ?”

“No, what is wrong with you ?” I ask.

“Who’s Selena?” Rosie finally asks .

” A witch he slept with for payment .” Stefan deadpans, “I didn’t know the payment upfront.” I roll my eyes .

“Why did you need something from her in the first place?” Rosie frowns and I roll my eyes, “Do not tell her.” I demand Stefan and his lips fall shut as he stares at him mate with sorry eyes, “I’m sorry, alpha’s orders.” he mumbles in disappointment .

“Eleia doesn’t know and neither will she until I say so.” I stand up.

” You didn’t tell me what the payment is .” Stefan yells as I walk out of their kitchen , “None of your business!” I yell before leaving their home .

” Come on.” Stefan yells but I ignore him and walk into my own house that smelled like bacon.

“Eleia .” I call to her as I stand in the door frame , watching her cook bacon with Felix on her h*p.

She ignores me, ” Eleia .” I wait for her to turn around , but she doesn’t.

“Come on, don’t be mad. Just trust me.” I beg , but she doesn’t even listen or react.

She lets Felix slide down her h*p and he comes running to me , “Daddy !” he holds his arms out and I bend over, picking him up.

“Hi buddy, did you sleep well ?” I ruffle his hair .

“Mommy slept with me !” he giggles, “Does this mean she loves me more ?” the cute smile on his face makes my heart swell .

“I guess she does .” I tickle his side and his body pulls back as he tries to fight my hands away.

“Let’s play !” He begs , making me chuckle, “But our breakfast is almost ready .” I poke him as I put him in his eating chair at the island counter .

I sit and play rock paper scissors with Felix until Eleia puts a dished up plate in front of him and then sits down on the other side of him before eating.Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

“And mine ?” I ask, but she ignores me once more while continuing to eat.

“Alright..” I mumble as I stand and walk to the pan to see there’s nothing left.

“Really ? Why can’t you just trust me ?”

“Eleia, come on. I would never let Felix reject his mate unless he wants to.” I tell her, but she doesn’t even change her expression while eating .

I sigh before grabbing the bread and I cut cucumber as the bread toasts.

As I sit down with my toasted bread, mayo and cucumber on top, she stands up and washed her and Felix’s plate before taking his hand and she walks up the stairs again.

Disappointment and heart ache fills my chest as I sit alone, knowing that my mate doesn’t trust me .

She’s so mad , she hasn’t looked at me once.

After I ate and washed the dishes , I was walking upstairs when she came down with a suitcase for her and Felix , “Where are you going?” I grab her arm and she yanks it back out of my grasp , looking at Felix , “Tell daddy that Aunty Rosie said we can stay at her place for a few nights .” she smiles at him , but before he could say it to me, I raise my hand, stopping him.

“I heard mummy, tell her it’s ridiculous .” I force a smile to our son.

“Daddy says its…whatever that word was.” he giggles, scratching his nape.

Eleia doesn’t look at me or say anything before she continues to walk out of the house, slamming the door shut loudly.

I strut back down to my office and sit down in my chair before I start emailing clients and people I have meetings with that I won’t be able to make it because I’m hospitalized with a high fever and I will reschedule when I get out .
