Aiden was so surprised that I pulled off that party last time that he agreed to let me do it again if I stay in bed or on the couch while he’s training .

The sun is hotter than ever and I am bigger than an elephant .

As promised , we had a big sleepover with all the kids under the stars outside when it became hot again .

The summer is my favorite time of year , the sun is warm , the flowers bloom , the trees get colour , the water gets more appreciation than in the winter .

Everything is good .

I sit in his office under the aircon , stuffing my mouth with fruits and chocolates .

If I wanted to , I could balance a glass on top of my belly right now , but I’m no child , even if it is tempting .

After I made all the arrangements and called to order everything , I went to the couch , smiling as I pass the vase with blue metal flowers .

Our last end of the month party to celebrate everyone , the theme was blue . I wore a baby blue dress because my bump wasn’t as big as I am now , everyone where or blue or white and the decorations were blue too .

When we announced that we were having a boy , the entire pack went wild , howled , clapped and yelled in excitement and it felt like magic .

I felt like a princess in that moment .

As the winter became summer , Aiden had air installed in our home , he never really cared for the heat , but he said that because I was pregnant , being in humid weather was not good for the baby or me and he is right .

The only time I do leave this house is when it’s late noon or even in the evening itself for some fresh air because then it cooled down and my baby and I aren’t cooking .

It’s almost time to bring this boy into the land of the living , where he will breath on his own , grow more , start to crawl and then walk and I believe that I am the happiest person because I get to do it with my mate .

“Eleia .” Aiden’s breathless voice booms as the front door slams shut and I raise my head from laying on the couch , “Aiden ?” I ask worriedly , slowly getting up .

It’s been harder since I got bigger because the baby is like a magnetic force wanting me to stay down the entire time .

“Good , you’re okay .” He smiles in relief .

I lose focus when my eyes trail his sweaty body .

The snapping of his fingers makes me snap out of my haze and my eyes focus on his , “What ?” I shrug as if I weren’t just eye f*****g him .

“Why did you send someone to tell me to come and help you ?” He snaps and my brows furrow , “Excuse me ? I did not .” I fold my arms over my chest , resting it on my big bump .

“The kid said…” he freezes , his face features sinking as realization dawns in and he rushes back outside , I follow to the door , standing in the frame .

I gasp when I see kids rushing towards the edge , two tall ones and then four , maybe five small ones .

“Stop !” He bellows in fear before he shifts into his beautiful raven colored wolf , charging after them .

I have no doubt that he would catch them because more than half of them can’t even shift yet , so they are on foot .

I walk back to the couch , sitting down as I wonder why they would suddenly run ?

The kids we brought over from the Night pack were fitting in , they were enjoying themselves , all of them and it’s about to go crap just because of.. of nothing !

I don’t know why they ran .

Stefan and Rosie come into the house minutes later , Rosie dressed in overalls the same as Stefan .

“Are you two job hunting ?” I tease and they both turn to me , looking exhausted , yet still managing a smile .

“No .” Rosie pads over , tugging her overalls off , standing in shorts and a crop top beneath as she kicks the stained overalls to the side and she plops down next to me , “But we did paint the last walls today .” She grins , but it seems like she could pass out any minute .

“Crack a window , would you ?” Stefan wipes his nose with the back of his hand .

“Hell no , it’s hot out there .” I scoff and he rolls his eyes , “Don’t do that .” Rosie snaps at him , “She’s pregnant , goddess sake .” She snarls at him and I raise my hands , “No fighting , you’re both exhausted . Grab a shower and go sleep .” I demand , it’s nearly night and those two have been working day after day building their dream home .

I glance around , smiling at our home .

It’s not my dream home , but it’s better than what I had , it’s better than what I will ever have because this house is filled with love and soon it will be filled with baby things too .

Stefan suggested a baby shower and after he explained to Rosie and I what it was , we got excited about all the things .

We still didn’t have one because there’s just something going on each day , even if we don’t plan anything .

After Rosie and Stefan went upstairs , I continued to wait for Aiden to come back and he did , with six kids .

“Can you just deal with this ? I need a shower .” He grumbles when he walks in naked , not caring if the kids are looking at him .

They all line up in front of me and my eyes flick from left to right .

With them causing trouble , it’s like practicing for when my son comes .

“Sit , on the floor .” I demand and the four little ones do , but the two oldest ones don’t .

Two boys , just standing there all mighty .

“Sit !” I demand , my eyes darkening and they both drop to the floor , making me feel like I am winning .

“Why did you run ?” I ask annoyed that they are staring at my stomach .

I know it’s big , but it is rude .

“Hello ?” I snap my fingers in front of my belly and their eyes lift to mine .

“We just followed our brothers .” The little girl mutters and I glance to the two boys , “Care to explain ?” I raise my brows and they shake their heads .

“So you had no reason to leave ? Then why run ? We are trying to help .” I snap a little too harshly .

“You are not our parents !” One of the eldest boys bellows at me and I stare at him wide eyed as his eyes glass over .

“I know , I could never be . No one can , but we do want to give you a better life .” I try to convince him to listen , but he just stares at the ground , the others do the same .

“We won’t ever harm you , but you can not take your younger siblings with you out into the wild . If it were only you two , fine , because you look around sixteen , seventeen ? So it means you have your wolf , don’t you ?” I ask , “We’re eighteen and seventeen .” He boy murmurs , “Figured , but these four…” i glance at the four little ones holding each other’s hands , “They aren’t that lucky . They can not protect themselves and they can not leave here like you can . Or you can stay with them or you leave them behind , but neither I or Alpha Aiden will let you leave with them , got it ?” A low grows escapes me and their eyes flick up to me , nodding .

“No .”

“Is that why you want to leave ?”

They nod and I get that they just want to be together .

“Then we will fix it. Just stay .” I hold out my hand to the little ones and the other hand to the older ones and they all stand , and so do I before I tug all of them into a group hug .

“We’ll fix it , just talk to us . We aren’t monsters .” I sigh and by the time Aiden comes back , it’s all sorted and we’re eating cookies while watching a show .
