I Died

I Died 11

In the end, Isabel not only failed to leave but was also detained in the dungeon inside the Crimson Crescent Pack. It turned out that her wolf scent was too strong and it was all over my body, especially to my belongings. Her hair was also found over the corpse. It was a messy murder, so even though the Consul knew she was linked to the case, there was not enough evidence pointing out that she killed me herself.

Dimitri, upon receiving this news, grilled her overnight, squeezing every bit of information he could. Meanwhile, the Consul members made significant strides, gathering crucial evidence.

Three days later, the whole mystery got cracked wide open. Just like Logan suspected, the culprit behind my gruesome murder was none other than the members of the Dark Wood Pack.

It turned out there was a stolen moonstone hidden in my belongings, but I didn’t put it there. It was Isabel who set me up. She invited me over for dinner and slipped the moonstone that she stole from Dark Wood Pack into my bag while I was in the bathroom.

Unaware of her scheme, I carried that moonstone back. Meanwhile, Isabel was busy celebrating her and Logan’s tenth anniversary, acting like everything was fine.

On my way back to the pack, I was ambushed by the Dark Wood pack members and dragged into the forest on the Autumnvale town’s border. Hands covered my mouth and nose, muffling my screams. They searched my bag and found the stone, accusing me of being a snitch. This moonstone was an heirloom of Dark Wood Pack, more precious than anything else. I had no idea what they were talking about back then and was completely clueless about the whole situation. I remembered how scared, and desperate I was to call for help.

“Please, don’t kill me… Please.”

And even in my last moment, there were only two Dark Wood Pack members left. It appeared that they orchestrated everything with Isabel because they mentioned her name multiple times, and fooled the others into believing that I stole the important belongings of the rival pack.

They tortured me relentlessly, slicing me open and yanking out organs. It was a horror, and every time I saw Isabel’s face, it reminded me of how pathetically I died.

In

my last moments, I was desperate enough and attempted to use the mindlink I had with my mate, but who was I kidding? He never cared. He abhorred me enough not to feel that his Luna was in danger! That his mate was dying!

His response?

“Stop playing mind games with me, Aurora. I am not going home tonight.”

I knew he was too busy with the pack and with his anniversary with Isabel to give a

damn about my distress. As my body, blood, and soul were ripped apart, I clung to a

glimmer of hope, praying for a miracle. Looking back, I realized my mate–my Alpha… Logan was probably cozying up to the same murderer who orchestrated my demise, completely oblivious to my agony. Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
