Chapter 1102: Nelson is Your Childhood Friend, Brandon

The following day, Brandon and Sandy held their engagement ceremony. Many people were invited.

There were Brandon's business partners with whom he had excellent relations in the market, along

with some friends he knew from the business world. There were also relatives and friends from the

Hawkins family. Sandy didn't invite many people from her side. She hardly invited anyone from her

circle of acquaintances. It's not that Sandy didn't have close friends in her circle; she just didn't want to

invite anyone. Therefore, most of the attendees were Brandon's friends.

Sandy stood by Brandon's side, greeting one person after another. When they reached Nelson's table,

Sandy immediately noticed that someone was missing. Since there were others around, Sandy didn't

want to ask Nelson directly. After exchanging greetings and heading towards another table, Sandy

finally lowered her voice and asked Brandon, "Brandon, where's Jim?"

Upon hearing Sandy's question, Brandon's expression changed slightly, and he replied in a low voice,

"I don't know. I'll ask Nelson when I get the chance."

Sandy accepted Brandon's response and didn't press the matter further. The day passed quickly and

before she knew it, it was over. Sandy was tired, and she naturally forgot about Nelson's absence.

It wasn't until the next day, when she saw the headline on the Viteto news, that Sandy remembered

what she had forgotten the day before. "Is this true?" Sandy read the news three times before thrusting

her phone in front of Brandon.

Brandon glanced at it and remained silent for a few seconds before saying, "It's true."

"But weren't they fine yesterday?"

Brandon rubbed his forehead and replied, "I don't have all the details, but there must have been some

kind of unavoidable situation on Jim's side that led to..."

"Brandon, Nelson is your childhood friend, your friend. Without Nelson, you wouldn't even know Jim,

right?"

Before Brandon could finish his sentence, Sandy interrupted him. Brandon opened his mouth as if he

wanted to say something, but Sandy didn't give him the chance. She stood up, took the phone, and

declared, "I'm going out."

"Sandy!"

Brandon wanted to stop her, but he was a step too late. Sandy had already left the room, closed the

door, and gone downstairs.

Unable to chase after her, Brandon maintained a distance and followed Sandy downstairs. In the living

room downstairs, Stella, Yanis, Bonnie, and Maya were playing with Mles. When they saw Sandy and

Brandon coming down, Stella was the first to speak, "Weren't you supposed to take a nap? Why are

you back so soon?"

Sandy's expression remained composed. "I remembered that I have something to do."

Sandy grabbed her car keys from the side. "Brandon, I'll be back in about an hour. Don't follow me."

This statement was Sandy giving Brandon some space, reminding him not to follow her. Brandon

looked at Sandy for a few seconds before attempting to speak, but Sandy didn't wait for him to

respond. She turned and left the room.

"Sandy!"

Brandon wanted to stop her but was too slow. Sandy had already left the room, closed the door, and

gone downstairs and out of the Hawkins family's front gate. Brandon hesitated, unsure whether he

should inform Sandy, but she had just said she wasn't going to see Nelson. Then, who was she going

to see? Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

Could it be Jim?

But then again, Sandy and Jim had barely exchanged ten sentences. Her relationship with Nelson was

much stronger. Plus, with the news online, she wouldn't go to see Jim.

Considering all this, Brandon decided to go check on Nelson. As for Sandy, she drove straight to Jim's

photography studio. She parked her car at the entrance and called Jim's phone.

After what felt like a long time, Jim finally answered. "Hello, this is Unar Photography."

"Mr. Bart, it's me," Sandy said softly.

Jim paused for a moment upon recognizing Sandy's voice. "Miss Thompson, is there something you

need?"

"Can we meet and talk? I'm right outside your photography studio."

Jim didn't respond immediately, and just as Sandy thought he might have hung up, his voice came

through the phone, "Come upstairs, to the rooftop."
