With this thought, Olive's heart suddenly felt more at ease.
"I got it. I'll call Brandon and apologize tomorrow," Olive said, turning to Nelson.
Nelson hadn't expected Olive's change of heart to be so swift.
"Have you really come to terms with it?" he asked.
"Otherwise, should I keep bothering him?" Olive replied.
Nelson sighed, "I guess not."
"So, I'll apologize to him. What I did this time wasn't appropriate," Olive said softly.
Nelson nodded. "Okay, he'll come over tomorrow afternoon."
Nelson paused and then added, "He might come with his girlfriend."
Olive replied, "Alright."
Seeing that Olive seemed normal now, Nelson relaxed. "It's getting late. Get some rest."
Olive looked at Nelson. "There's a cot over there. Won't you lie down instead of sitting by the bed?"
Nelson chuckled and got up, moving to the cot. "You know, this is the first time I've spent the night by
someone's bedside in a hospital."
"That's an honor."
Nelson made an acknowledging sound. "Indeed, my first time attending to Miss Longman. Quite an
experience."
"Don't say that. People might get the wrong idea," Olive joked.
Nelson laughed. "Nah, we're not like that. Our relationship can't be defined by something so cliché."
Olive felt slightly better now and looked at Nelson curiously. "Nelson, you haven't had a girlfriend all
these years?"
Taken aback by the sudden question, Nelson coughed lightly. "I'm in a unique situation, you wouldn't
understand."
Olive had heard a little about Nelson's situation, but she didn't think he would be like that.
However, now that she heard his explanation, she was moved. "You really like..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Nelson interrupted. "It's not something to be ashamed of."
"It's definitely not something to be ashamed of. But your path ahead might be challenging. Aren't you
afraid Uncle Penn might interfere?"
"If he does, he does. I can't control it."
"I support you."
Nelson clicked his tongue several times. "You better get some sleep!"
"Goodnight, Nelson."
Nelson: "..."
The next morning.
When Sandy woke up, Brandon was no longer in bed.
Sandy didn't rush to find him. She stayed in bed for a moment, then got up.
Rubbing her sleepy eyes, she looked around the room.
Just as she was about to get out of bed, the bedroom door swung open from the outside.
Brandon walked in carrying a delicate bag and handed it to Sandy. "Clothes."
Sandy looked at him in surprise. "Don't I have some?"
"Put these on," Brandon replied.
Sandy took the bag and examined the clothes inside. She then glanced at Brandon and back at the
clothes. Uncertain, she asked, "Matching outfits?"
Brandon nodded. "Get up, freshen up. Auntie's making breakfast. We'll go pick up your sister
afterward."
Sandy, seeing how serious Brandon looked, couldn't help but chuckle. "Brandon, we're going to visit
your 'green plum' today. Are you sure we should go to the hospital while she's lying there?"
"I think it's appropriate," Brandon said, lifting Sandy from the bed and guiding her toward the bathroom.
"Freshen up and change."
Sandy didn't resist his care and let Brandon guide her. He helped her with toothpaste and water.
Brushing her teeth, Sandy mumbled, "When are we going?"
"Go where?"
"To the hospital."
"After lunch."
Sandy nodded, then quickly rinsed her mouth, washed her face, changed clothes, and tidied up. Once
she was ready, she turned to Brandon. "Done."
"Let's go."
Hand in hand, Brandon and Sandy descended the stairs.
Auntie had already prepared breakfast and, upon seeing Brandon come downstairs, she whispered,
"Sir, everything is ready."
Brandon acknowledged her. "You can leave once you finish tidying up."
"Of course."
Once Auntie left, Brandon pulled out a chair for Sandy to sit. "If you don't want to go, we can skip it."
"Let's go," Sandy responded. "We've known each other for so long. If you don't go now, it might seem
heartless."
Brandon looked at Sandy.
"I don't want people to think my Brandon is heartless," Sandy said seriously, locking eyes with Brandon.
Brandon couldn't help but smile. "Alright."
After breakfast, they went to the hotel to pick up Stella.
The three of them then headed to the Hawkins family's residence.
Stella's formal visit to Sandy's home.
Stella had brought many gifts.
Brandon tried to intervene at one point, but Sandy overruled him. Brandon eventually gave in and
followed them, carrying the bags obediently.
In the mall, salespeople cast curious glances at Brandon.
Sandy, noticing his exasperated expression, turned to the employees and pointed at Brandon. "My
husband."
Sandy had removed her mask while speaking.
The employees, upon seeing Sandy's face, were taken aback.
Everyone knew Sandy, but her husband was none other than Brandon, the heartthrob of countless girls
in Viteto.
Their looks toward Brandon changed instantly.
By the time they finished shopping and arrived at the Hawkins family's residence, it was already past
10 in the morning.
When Maya and Kason saw Sandy and Brandon arrive together, they both heaved sighs of relief.
"Why is Sandy still carrying things?" Maya rushed forward and took the bags from Sandy's hands, then
handed them all to Brandon. "You carry them."
Brandon had little choice but to comply.
Kason stood aside, his hands empty, not even glancing at Brandon.
It was impossible not to sense the open hostility directed at him.
Despite whatever was going on online, Brandon hadn't managed the situation well, and he knew it.
This exclusion was his own doing.
"Maya, I'll take over," Sandy said to her sister after greeting her. She turned and took more bags from
Stella, then immediately handed them to Kason with a smirk. "You carry them."
Kason: "..."
Maya, holding Stella's arm with one hand and Sandy's with the other, led them inside
, chatting and laughing.
Brandon stood beside Kason. "Did you upset my sister-in-law?"
Kason raised an eyebrow. "No."
"Not even after she treated you like this?"
Kason stopped and glared at Brandon. "Because of you!"
Brandon: "... How is this my fault?"
