Chapter 45 Closing The Window
Artists also had rest days, but their rest days differed from that of regular jobs. The holidays of Galaxy
Entertainment's artists would only begin after the shooting of an event is wrapped up.
Margaret got five days off because she had just finished filming Ancient Star.
This meant that she only had to return to the company after five days.
After the meetup with Zachary, Margaret returned to her house. She took off her shoes and was about
to enjoy a good rest when her phone's notification tone sounded.
It was a text from Charleston.
"Come down." The message stated.
Margaret opened her window. As expected, she saw Charleston standing downstairs.
For a second there, the scene was a gorgeous sight - with a luxurious car parked behind Charleston's
tall figure and handsome face.
Charleston seemed to have felt her gaze because he lifted his eyes and looked up.
Their eyes locked in an instant.
Margaret curled her lips in annoyance and closed the curtains. She then blocked his phone number.
Out of sight, out of mind.
F*ck the cruise party. All she wanted was to get a good rest, so that she could replenish her strength
and earn more money.
The bed was soft and inviting. With Margaret's delicate face buried in the white pillow, the skin on her
face looked even fairer.
Margaret was half asleep when she noticed something amiss. She quickly turned her body over.
When she opened her eyes, she could've sworn that she saw someone in her house. Sure enough,
when the intruder's face could be seen, she let out a scream. "Charleston, how did you get in here?"
She had closed the window and the door.
Was it possible that this man could walk through walls?
"The key." There was a something silver in Charleston's hand. "The property agent gave it to me."
"You..." Margaret was about to comment on the property agent's unacceptable behavior. How could
they take someone's privacy so lightly?
Then, it suddenly occurred to her that money really could unlock all doors. Moreover, she was not the
owner of this house. She was just a person who lived in it.
The house belonged to the company.
It shouldn't be surprising that Charleston could get the keys as there were so many loopholes.
"All right, it seems that even my house isn't safe anymore." Margaret thought to herself. From NôvelDrama.Org.
"Why did you close the window when you saw me? Are you taking back your words?" Charleston said
with a faint smile.
Margaret did not dare to argue with Charleston, "I just want to rest."
"Have you had enough rest now?" asked Charleston, his eyes beaming with cynicism.
He knew that she was lying, which made her feel even more ashamed.
Margaret said reluctantly, "I guess."
"Let's go then." Charleston stood up.
Margaret stood up as well and said, "I'm going to get changed first."
"No need." Charleston took her by the arm and walked outside the door. "I've prepared something for
you for the party."
Charleston shoved Margaret right into the car.
As the sun bid the world goodnight, the black luxury car continued driving into the night, looking as one
with the road. Finally, it stopped by the sea.
The beach that was usually bustling at night was empty. A five-story gigantic cruise ship docked by the
shoreline. The lights on the cruise looked like they could light up the entire sea.
Larry and a group of bodyguards had been waiting by the shore for a long time. When they saw
Charleston, they greeted him respectfully.
Margaret's tiny hand was pulled by Charleston. His grip on her was not strong, but it was firm enough
to stop her from breaking free.
"Let's go." Charleston went onto the cruise with Margaret.
Margaret's face looked extremely dark. It was as if someone had stolen her money.
On the second floor of the cruise ship.
There were not many people on this floor. Several bosses who were gathered on one side of the room
hurriedly came up to Charleston when they saw him.
All of them were taken by surprise when they saw Charleston, who had always been alone and had
always stayed away from women, with a woman by his side.
Their gazes fell on Margaret. They all sighed, "This must be Mr. Limbaugh's new lover, right? She's
gorgeous."
