Chapter 175
Chapter 175
I made my way upstairs and walked past the security like I owned the place, which was practically the case. It was probably due to them being scared of Beau, but at least it worked because no one dared to stop me.
The only person who would hold me back was the same nurse from the last time who stood in front of the door, but I could also deal with her. I glared at the nurse from a distance and noticed how she tried her hardest to avoid my gaze.
“Aren’t you going to let me in?” I asked as I reached the door. The nurse almost trembled in fear and immediately stepped aside. I hated using this power over them to treat them like crap, and I didn’t want to scare anyone, but it was the only way.
I walked through the door and stared at Gina, who was getting her wound cleaned by a nurse. She had a smile on her face and seemed way too comfortable. All I wanted was to smack it right off.
I cleared my throat, making them both turn around, and gave them a forced smile. “I can take it from here,” I told the nurse and grabbed the cloth from her hands. “But Christian said-
“Christian’s not here right now, so I’m the boss,” I told her as I pushed her towards the door. “Thank you, bye!”
“Miss-”
Before the woman could say another word, I closed the door in her face and brushed off my hands. “So, that’s been taken care of-right?” I rolled my eyes at Gina.
Serena, I don’t want any trouble-please!” Gina pleaded while I stepped closer. “What are you on about? I’m just going to clean you up, and that’s it.” I chuckled while I played with the cloth in my hands. “Come
1.
“O-okay then,” Gina stuttered and scooted closer. I damped the cloth into the warm water and brought it to the wound on her cheek. She seemed so fragile, and it was not that difficult to see that she must’ve gone through a lot, but that was no excuse for her being here.
“I’m so sorry for everything that has happened to you, and I want you to know that none of it is your fault.” I smiled as I brushed my hand through her hair. “You had the opportunity to give the masked man information about Christian, and you choose not to. That’s amazing.”
“Thanks.” Gina smiled. “I would do anything for Christian. You know that.”
“Yes.” I glared at her. “I do know that, and that’s the issue.”
“Stay away from him. You’ve done enough.” I told her in a desperate attempt to get the message through her head. Gina fumbled her hands and started shaking.
“If you’re so desperate for a man, go and steal someone else’s, but not mine,” I spoke word for word. I was always so loud about not wanting to fight anyone over a man, but things had changed. All of my issues with Christian started with Gina, so it would also end here. It was time for her to leave.
Gina moved aside and lowered her head. “I-it isn’t like that.” She sighed. “1-1 wanted to leave, but Christian
“Then leave!” I yelled out while she flinched at my reaction. “I will give you until the end of the day to pack your shit and leave. I don’t want to see your face when I get back here. You know what, I actually don’t want to see your face ever again!”
My thoughts got interrupted by Christian as he placed his hand on my thigh and moved closer to grab my attention. I gave him a questioning look while he gave me a smile in return. “You didn’t give me the
chance to say this,” He began. “But you look beautiful.”
Carmen closed her laptop and squealed while she stared at us. “I want what the two of you have?” She spoke. Poor sister, if she only knew. This was probably Christian’s way of apologizing because he knew he was wrong this time.
I pushed away Christian’s hand with an embarrassed blush on my face and lowered my head so that he couldn’t see the smile on my face.
“Good morning guys, I’m ready to go.” Enzo suddenly skipped into the kitchen with a bright smile. “Enzo,” Christian sighed. “I heard you told Carmen that she and Luke are allowed to hold their birthday party here…in my house that you haven’t paid for.”
“Yes, that’s true.” Enzo shrugged while he opened the fridge as if he lived here. He grabbed some grapes and pushed them into his mouth. “They didn’t have any time to celebrate their birthday because of the whole Fabio thing, and that was all on you,” Enzo spoke.
“If you had never knocked up Serena, then none of this would’ve happened.”
“True,” Christian shrugged while he looked at me. I was shocked by his eye contact but gave him a shru return. “I’ll acknowledge that, so I’m just going to keep my mouth shut.” He admitted.
“But it’s the best thing that happened to us, isn’t it?” Christian smiled at me. It was good to know we wer back to being normal again, but this had to stop. We couldn’t just argue one minute and get along the
next.
“It is.” I agreed as I moved my eyes to Siena. “It’s like this child never runs out of energy!” Enzo laughed while Siena bounced up and down in her chair. He grabbed Siena and spun her around, while
I couldn’t help but laugh at the thought that it was the exact baby he so desperately wanted to get rid of.
“Serena, can we talk?” Christian asked. I almost had the urge to tell him that it was not the right time, but 1 wasn’t in the mood for another argument.
“Sure,” I smiled as I got up to follow him. “As a matter of fact, we should talk.”
We walked to the hallway and stared at each other in awkward silence. I was waiting for Christian to say something while he was waiting for me to open my mouth. “You’re the one who called me here.” 1 commented.
“I’ve been thinking about the way I’ve been treating you, and you’re right,” Christian spoke. “I was unfair towards you, and I’m so sorry.”
It felt as if I was dreaming, and it took me some time to get his words through my head. “You’re what?”
“I’m sorry,” Christian repeated. “I was only thinking about myself, and it hadn’t even crossed my mind that you might’ve felt uncomfortable with having her here,”
“Yes, you’re absolutely right,” I spoke, flustered. At least this was going in the right direction, but luckily Gina was someone we didn’t have to worry about for much longer.
“So I’ll talk to her after we get back here, and I’ll make sure she leaves,” Christian spoke. “I never wanted to hurt you. I just wanted to make sure that she wouldn’t hurt herself.” He explained. “But if she makes you feel uncomfortable, I’ll make sure she leaves.”
Those words felt like heaven to me, but that was not necessary anymore.
By the time we would be back, she would be long gone.
“Deal,” I smiled and wrapped my arms around Christian’s neck. “And I’m sorry for what I said about your dad. You know I love Lucio.”
“Yes, I know.”
“I know we say this every day, but I don’t want us to argue anymore-it’s not healthy for Siena.” He sighed. disappointed. It wasn’t healthy for Siena, and there was indeed no point in us being together if this was the future we were going to give her. “I know.”
“And you really do look good,” Christian complimented me again. So he was capable of doing it. He just decided not to. “You should compliment me more often. I giggled before I gently pressed my lips against
his.
Christian chuckled and moved his hand to my back. “What are you talking about? I give you praises all the time.” He spoke proudly. “I know all about your praise kink.” C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.
“I don’t have a praise kink.” I rolled my eyes at him. “And I mean real praises, like when I actually have clothes on.”
He still wasn’t getting it, and I hated myself for thinking this way, but it was actually cute. “Okay, well, Christian smirked. “You also look very beautiful with clothes on,”
“Did someone say clothes?” Enzo’s loud voice interrupted us as he pushed himself in between us. “You didn’t tell Christian about you seeing me naked, have you?”
“What?” Christian exclaimed, confused while I shook my head. “He’s lying. It wasn’t like that.” I told Christian. Enzo was shocked, which was probably because he was stupid enough to expose himself.
“Yes, I know,” Christian spoke, repulsed. “You don’t have to explain yourself. I’m just disgusted.”
So was I.
“Where are your puppies?” Enzo aske. “Puppies?” Christian frowned.
“Yes, Marc, Johnny, Beau-you name it.” Enzo chuckled. “Your puppies!”
I felt like I should’ve actually punched him in his face for calling my brother a dog, but I was not in the mood to do that.
“Don’t call Beau a dog,” Christian told him after seeing the look on my face.
Wo others. “Marc and Johnny will I couldn’t help but laugh at the idea of him protecting Beau, but not the be there later, and Beau is coming with Isobel,” Christian explained. “Dario will get his apology. I’ll make sure of it.”
“Isobel and co apologizing?” Enzo scoffed while my thoughts went to Marc. Who would’ve thought someone like Marc, who was probably the most stable out of Christian’s friends, was also responsible for bullying Dario?
“You have big dreams, little brother.” Enzo patted his shoulder. “I admire you for that.”.
“We should probably go now, I’m worried about grandpa, and he hasn’t stopped calling me,” Christian
spoke. I figured he told Enzo everything since the two seemed to be close nowadays.
I turned around to look for Siena, but Enzo stopped me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder as he led me outside. “You’re not going to die today. You’ll see her in a few hours!”
“Come on. We have more important stuff to worry about.”
