Chapter 61~ What would he do?
"Adan, any updates? Grandpa said something that got me thinking last night... I keep thinking Lora might be Larisa," Ryan said on the phone. "I doubt two different people can have the same face unless they are identical twins." It was the next day and Ryan had called his friend to find out about the progress of the investigation. He didn't know why, but something told him they were missing something.
Lora's hatred for him... the way she avoided him... it didn't seem like she had just known him recently. He always suspected her identity but he thought it wasn't possible for her to be Larisa since he had seen the explosion himself.
However, his grandfather's words made him realise something. There was no way they could verify that the ashes belonged to Larisa. They couldn't even tell if the ashes were mixed with a human being's or if they were just from the burnt warehouse. Larisa could have managed to escape before he could save her. Perhaps he couldn't find her because she hid herself well.
"Bro, it's not possible to confirm if Lora is Larisa yet. I don't want to give you false hope when I'm not sure... even if we only saw ashes, there's a possibility that those ashes do belong to Larisa. Be ready for positive or negative news," Adan Nicholson responded on the phone.
He didn't want to see his friend go back to a bad state because of this again. It would be like seeing his wife die all over again if he realised she had really died in that fire.
Ryan's jaw clenched. He pinched the bridge of his nose and said, "I know but it's important that I find out before the engagement ceremony. I need to know if Lora is Larisa as soon as possible."
"I know, man. My men are still trying to verify their findings and I haven't gotten anything from Bianca either," Adan responded.
Ryan sighed, frustration creeping into him. Why did the Davis family hide information about Lora? What were they hiding?
The only information they could find was from the last six years and it wasn't complete.
He uttered, "Let me know when you find out something. It doesn't matter the place or the time. As long as it's news about Lora, I want to know about it. Also, I want the PI to re-investigate what happened six years ago. I want to know who kidnapped Ivy and Larisa at the same time and what their motive was."
"Sure thing, Ryan. I'll do my best," Adan remarked. "However, those men seemed to have fled the Country."
"I don't care... this time, we need to find them. Something tells me this wasn't just a kidnapping planned by my enemies," Ryan muttered.
"Ok. I'll ask him to work on that as well," Adan promised and ended the call.
Ryan glanced towards the Davis & Co. building. He had parked on the other side of the road, not knowing why he drove to that place during lunchtime.
Soon, he saw Jason's car drive by. Lora left the building and entered his car after giving him a warm hug.
Seeing this, Ryan clenched the steering wheel tightly as jealousy twisted his heart. What would he do if Lora was really Larisa?
Would she forgive him?
Meanwhile, Adan called Bianca when he got off the phone with Ryan. He had been monitoring her phone for a while but her texts with Lora were clean with nothing that could give Lora away about her identity.
...
Bianca took some time to answer the phone. When she did, she questioned, "What is it?"
"Why the hostility, princess? Can't I call you?" Adan asked, a smirk playing on his lips.
He realised he loved working Bianca up. She was cute when angry.
"It depends on why you're calling," Bianca reluctantly replied.
"Do you want to link up for lunch?" Adan suddenly offered.
On the other side, Bianca froze when she heard that. 'Is he asking me out on a date?' She mused, her heart racing erratically.
"Is the lunch on you?" She asked, biting her lip.
"Of course, you can eat whatever you want. I'll text you the address," Adan said and Bianca smiled to herself.
She was off work today and didn't

Since he called her, Bianca felt kind of special.
"I'll be there," Bianca said and cut the call, her heart jumping excitedly.
'Oh my God! Why am I excited?' Bianca asked and scolded herself. 'Stop it, Bee. he probably just wants to talk.'
Regardless, she couldn't stop herself from feeling butterflies in her stomach.
It didn't take long for Bianca to get ready. She dressed simply in a white tee and blue jeans before pulling her blonde hair into a bun. Walking into the place she was supposed to meet Adan, a smile crossed her lips when she saw him heading towards a table.

take a step forward, a beautiful lady suddenly flung herself at Adan wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Adan, did you know that I'm here, so you came to surprise me?" The woman asked excitedly.
Seeing this, Bianca felt like someone had poured ice-cold water over her head.
Adan pulled away from the woman He was about to turn his head when Bianca moved back and hid behind a pilla her heart pounding violently in her chest.
'Why the hell did I come here?' She asked herself.
It was then that she realised that she was acting silly. Did she think that Adan was interested in her just because they slept together? How could she forget that the man was a player? The night they shared was nothing special to him...
Bianca scoffed and muttered under her breath. "Come to think of it. It's not special to me too. I don't even remember what happened." Since Adan didn't care and she couldn't recall anything, it was best to forget what had happened and move on with her life.
Bianca sighed and turned to walk away. However, her stomach dropped when she heard Adan's voice.
"Bianca, where are you going?" Adan asked, approaching her.
Bianca forced a smile and turned to look at Adan before saying, "Something has come up, so I won't be joining you for lunch." Before Adan could respond, Bianca whipped around and left the restaurant, leaving Adan frowning in confusion.
"What happened?" He murmured to himself, wondering why she suddenly became cold.
