Her Life Starts to Spin out of Control

Chapter 151 Shattered Faith

Chapter 151 Shattered Faith

Colin didn't feel like arguing with Herring over a box of condoms. He didn't respond and continued to

drink.

At 2 o'clock in the morning, the rain began to ease. Totally wasted, Colin staggered up from his seat.

Herring found a driver for him and prepared to send him home.

But he needed to use the bathroom first. He called a waitress over and said, "Hey, beautiful. I need

your help."

When the woman saw Herring, her eyes shined with excitement and she hurried to him. "How can I

help, Mr. Huo? ...Oh, and Mr. Li!"

"Could you look after him for a while? I'll be back soon." Herring handed Colin over to the waitress, and

shoved a few bills into the low collar of her shirt.

"You're too kind, Mr. Huo! I'll take good care of Mr. Li!" The woman replied happily.

Herring turned around and headed to the bathroom.

In the woman's arms, Colin frowned and opened his eyes in discomfort. Sniffing her strong perfume, he

pushed the waitress away.

The waitress quickly moved back to him. Holding his arm, she coaxed in a sweet tone, "Mr. Li, you're

drunk. Let me help you."

"Fuck off." Colin shook off the waitress and leaned against the wall for support.

Noticing his displeasure, the waitress quickly shut her mouth. She stood beside him and didn't dare

approach him again.

Fortunately, Herring returned to them soon. "Thank you, beautiful. You can go now."

Putting Colin's arm over his shoulder, Herring helped him out of the bar.

Outside, the driver was waiting by the car. As Herring and Colin exited the bar, he quickly came up to

them and asked, "Mr. Huo, where should I bring Mr. Li?"

Herring thought for a moment. Since Colin was wasted, it wouldn't be a good idea to drop him off at the

Li House. He slapped Colin's face lightly to wake him up. Suddenly, Colin's eyes snapped open. Taken

aback, Herring drew his hand back. "Are you drunk or not?"

"I am."

Herring was frustrated. He put his hands on his hips. "Where do you want to go? Should I book a hotel

room for you?"

"No, thanks." Closing his eyes again, Colin leaned against the car door to steady himself. He recited,

"No. 9, Ninth Villa District."

Herring eyed him suspiciously. "When did you buy a mansion there? How come I don't know?"

The neighborhood Colin mentioned was a wealthy residential area designed and constructed by the SL

Group. All the residents who lived there were rich billionaires, and the cheapest mansion was worth

hundreds of billions.

Herring also wanted a residence there, but he was afraid that his father would find out and punish him

for squandering.

Colin should've told him that he had bought one. Herring could then argue that he bought an expensive

house because he found out his brother-in-law lived there.

Colin ignored Herring's question and got into the car.

At 3 o'clock in the morning, Sophia was gradually falling asleep. With a loud bang, her bedroom door

was kicked open.

Sophia startled awake. She sat up in bed and subconsciously covered her stomach, looking at the door

in horror. "Who's there!"

A man reeking of alcohol staggered in. He approached her and fell down on the other side of her bed.

Sophia quickly moved away. She looked at him with the dim street lamp light shining through the

window.

Seeing the intruder was Colin, she let out a sigh of relief. Was he drunk?

She moved closer to him and patted him on his shoulder. "Colin?"

Colin didn't react at all. Sophia turned on the bedside lamp and moved towards him.

"Colin, you need to remove your clothes." Didn't he go downtown with Maeve? How did he end up

wasted?

Complicated feelings surged in Sophia's heart as she looked at him. She couldn't tell if she was

disappointed or relieved.

Colin didn't answer. Sophia got off the bed and removed his shoes before arranging his body properly

on the bed.

The coat was more difficult to remove, but she managed to take it off. Sophia suddenly realized that his

coat reeked of strong perfume.

Before she had time to think, a small box fell off the pocket.

Noticing the movement, she picked up the box.

Taking a closer look at it, her face fell. It was a box of condoms. And the box had been opened.

With trembling hands, Sophia opened the box to find that two condoms were gone. He had used two

with Maeve...

A sharp pain quickly spread into her aching heart.

Tears ran down her cheeks as Sophia muffled her sobs with a trembling hand. She refused to believe

there was something going on between Colin and Maeve. Even when Maeve answered her phone call

to Colin, she didn't believe it. But this time... Her faith in Colin shattered completely...

After a long time, Sophia got to her feet and put the box of condoms on the side table. Wiping off her

tears with the back of her hand, Sophia unbuttoned Colin's shirt, then his trousers.

Although she was disheartened, she couldn't help blushing at the sight.

Just as she unbuckled his belt, her hand was seized. Looking up to the man's cold eyes, she tried to

explain in a hoarse voice, "You're drunk. I'm helping you remove your clothes..."

Colin frowned when he noticed her red eyes and hoarse voice. "Were you crying?"

Sophia shook her head. "Since you're awake, you can do it yourself." She turned away, but Colin pulled

her back.

Sophia shot him a questioning look. He demanded, "Keep going."

Sophia closed her eyes in pain. She tugged her hand back and helped him change.

Although it was dark in the room, one could easily tell that Sophia's face was flushed.

When she was done, she tucked Colin under the quilt. He quickly fell asleep as soon as his head hit

the pillow.

Sophia didn't get back onto her bed. She quietly went to the next room. Lying down, she stared at the

ceiling until the sky turned bright.

When Colin woke up the next morning, it was already 8 o'clock.

Without setting up an alarm, he would usually get up at 6 or 6:30 in the morning.

This time, he got up late... Because the room was full of Sophia's scent, he slept soundly last night.

But where was Sophia?

After calling Wade to ask him to bring over a set of clothes, he went to the bathroom to take a shower.

Not long after he went out in a bathrobe, someone knocked on the bedroom door.

"Mr. Li." It was Wade.

Colin opened the door to take the clothes and asked casually, "What is Sophia doing downstairs?" He

remembered that pregnant women slept more. Why did Sophia wake up so early?

Wade was puzzled. "I didn't see Mrs. Li downstairs."

Colin paused before calmly saying, "I see. You can wait for me downstairs."

As he dressed up, Colin took his wristwatch from the side table and spotted a box of condoms next to

it.

It was the box Herring had given to him. Sophia must've placed it there last night...

Putting on his watch, Colin went out of the bedroom. Seeing Justina by the stairs, he asked, "Where's

Sophia?"

Justina looked at him in confusion. "Isn't Mrs. Li sleeping in the room? She usually doesn't get up until

10 o'clock in the morning."NôvelDrama.Org © content.
