Chapter 1
Chapter 1
“Since you've had three abortions, we don't recommend a fourth. Now that you are pregnant, please
tell your husband and take good care of the baby.” Emma was still thinking about the doctor’s words
after she came back from the hospital.
It was ten o'clock in the evening, she parked her car in the garden of her villa. The housekeeper
greeted her immediately and looked at her with a complex facial expression.
Emma’s heart sank. She clutched the bag in her hand subconsciously.
"Is... he back tonight?" She asked.
The housekeeper nodded and replied cautiously, “Yes, Mr. Cooper has been waiting for you for a long
time...”
Emma took a deep breath and pulled her sleeve down to cover the injection mark on the back of her
hand.
She had been pregnant for two months.
She still remembered that when she was pregnant for the first time, she was very happy to tell Glenn
who had been married with her for three years. She thought this would be a favourable turn for their
relationship, but unexpectedly, he took her to the hospital to have an abortion. Later in the second time,
the result didn’t have any change. Therefore, this time when she knew she was pregnant, she decided
to went to the hospital alone to aborted it secretly.
But the previous two miscarriages had hurt her body. During this pregnancy, her fetus seemed to be
very unstable. The doctor even refused to continue her abortion surgery.
So a bold idea came out of her mind. She wanted to keep the baby secretly without telling her
husband.
Emma pushed the door with a little bit nervous and forced out a smile, "You are back..."
Glenn was sitting on the sofa. he was handsome but cold. When he stared at her, his gaze was cold,
too.
"Are you pregnant?" That's what he said.
Emma’s face turned pale instantly. She denied, "No! I'm not pregnant! "
Glenn easily saw through Emma's clumsy lie. He stared at Emma unmercifully and indifferently. “You’re
lying.” He said.
He stood up and approached Emma, "I'll give you two choices. Get rid of it by yourself, or I'll send
someone to help you."
Emma recalled the first time when she was pregnant, she fought hard against the abortion, but the man
sent two bodyguards to force her to the hospital in front of everyone for the abortion.
Since then, she had became a joke.
People in the city knew that Emma got revenge after she robbed her sister’s lover. Every time when
she became pregnant, she was forced to abort it by her husband. She had no family status.
Emma took a step back to protect her abdomen and said, “Glenn, I agree to divorce you. If you want to
be with Celia, I'll help you. But please, don't hurt my baby.”
Celia was Emma’s half-sister and the one Glenn loves. When Emma and Glenn got engaged, she
disappeared mysteriously and never showed up again. So Glenn hated Emma even more because of
that.
Glenn looked at Emma, and said cruelly, “Do you think I'm going to let a bitch like you to have my
baby?”
Emma was extremely shocked. She didn't expect him to be so vicious.
Glenn withdrew his gaze indifferently and walked to the door, “If I don't get the news of your abortion
tomorrow, don't blame me for making you a joke in the city again.” Then he walked straight outside.
Inside the house, Emma covered her face with her hands and burst into tears.
She felt a slight pain from her abdomen. The doctor had just warned her to keep calm, or she would
hurt the fetus. She took a quick deep breath to steady herself. Anyway, she had decided to keep the
baby this time no matter what.
Since Glenn was merciless to her, she was gonna leave here and find a place to give her baby birth
quietly.
Thinking of this, Emma didn't even have time to pack up. She grabbed her handbag and went outside.
The housekeeper came after her, “Where are you going, Mrs. Cooper? It’s late now.”
Emma didn't answer her question. She rushed to the car and started it. The car headed for the road.
She was leaving with her baby...
The car left the villa and drove all the way out of the city. Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
However, when passing a traffic light, a car suddenly sprang out and slammed into Emma's car. She
was hit hard by the huge inertia force, and her abdomen was in a sharp pain.
Emma took a few deep breaths to ease the pain and then she got off to see the other car.
The window of the other car was open, and the person sitting in the driving position was exactly her
sister Celia who had disappeared for three years!
