The reason he joined everyone for the game today wasn’t because he was fond of gaming. Instead, he had noticed the game’s icon on his girlfriend’s account and thought she might enjoy it too. Isabella squinted slightly, turned around, and began to walk away. As soon as she rounded the corner, she abruptly halted, then cautiously peeked around the edge.

She saw that Liana had returned, sneakily lurking at the door, seemingly trying to eavesdrop on the conversation inside.

Isabella was speechless.

Isabella raised an eyebrow, suspecting that Liana had seen Eula’s photo through her son. The moment she laid eyes on it, she had immediately envisioned Eula as her future daughter–in–law. Could it be that Liana had taken the initiative to meet her son’s girlfriend, or was she simply coming to greet her?

Isabella, on the other hand, wouldn’t treat her with kid gloves just because of her status. After all, she did enjoy dealing with such people.

Hence, she leaned against the wall and let out a deliberate, heavy cough in Liana’s direction.

Startled, Liana jolted upright, instinctively cursing under her breath.

Then, she saw an exceptionally beautiful woman looking at her with a half–smile.

Embarrassed, Liana stiffened and quickly turned to flee.

Isabella didn’t try to make things difficult; she was just trying to scare her.

After winding through the corridors, Liana finally found the restroom.

As she finished washing her hands, she spotted two figures in the distant corridor, arguing loudly.

“It’s you, it’s you! You shameless vixen, who gave you the right to seduce my son? You might have no shame, but we, the Wright family, still do! We’re a family of scholars and won’t tolerate your kind. You’re nothing but trash!”

Liana yelled, waving her arms and looking like she was about to slap the man.

To Isabella’s shock, the man was Jake!
