Chapter 29 A Female Villain
Once they returned to the house of the Williams family, Claire asked the maid to give her a spa treatment.
Sierra had ruined her mood in the shopping mall.
The soft music and the sweet scent of flowers seemed to calm Claire's tense muscles. She soon forgot all her troubles.
Just as she reveled in the luxury of the relaxing spa, her phone rang.
"Miss, it's a call from Miss Carter."
Claire took a deep breath, sat up, and took the phone from the maid.
"What's up?" This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
"Claire, are you interested in acting?" Haylee asked, excitement bubbling up in her voice.
"I'm not interested."
"Hey, come on.Don't refuse before I fully finish,"
Haylee hurriedly said, "Nobody is forcing you.But listen to me first before making a decision. My family has recently invested in a film project. It's a big-budget production directed by a famous director.Several popular actors are onboard.Everyone's sure it will bag an Oscar. And most importantly, Sierra is the female lead."
"What?"
Claire's brows furrowed.
"Do you think I've been too relaxed of late and you want to find something to trouble me? What makes you think I'd want to act with her? Do you want me to get into a new problem?"
"Hey, come on.How could you say that? I'm your best friend.Do you think I'll harm you?"
Haylee explained, "Look, Sierra is the leading actress in the movie. But there is a role of a female villain.Although she doesn't have many scenes, there is an important portion where she slaps Sierra across her face."Claire arched an eyebrow as the piece of information piqued her curiosity.
"Tell me more about it."
Haylee briefly narrated the plot of the movie and the character of the female antagonist.
Claire's face lit up as she heard more about it.She readily agreed.
"Great! Haylee squealed with excitement.
"I'll make all the arrangements and send you the script soon.If you're ready, come to the shooting spot tomorrow.иσνєℓєвσσк.¢σмI'll share the location right away."
"Okay."
After that, the two chatted for a while before hanging up the phone.
Haylee soon sent the script.
Excitement bubbled up within Claire as she learned the premise of the story. She wanted to see how Sierra would react when she saw her on the film set.
The next day, the filming of the movie "Death in Ever-bright City’ officially commenced.
That morning, Sierra drove to the shooting spot with her agent, Tiana Benton, and her assistant, Zoe Harvey. She looked out the window and saw the paparazzi waiting outside with cameras.
The assistant held a small mirror as Sierra examined her face to check if her makeup was in place.
"Sierra, you look good today. You are always beautiful."
The assistant flattered her.
Sierra practiced her trademark smile, trying to look pretty and innocent.
After all, she relied on her beauty to thrive in the industry.
One bad photo could ruin her career.
Therefore, she had to look picture-perfect for the reporters.
"Once you act in Enzo Archer's new film, people will start viewing you differently. You won't just be a glamorous actress.Everyone will recognize you as a talented actress.Sierra, you've got to seize this opportunity,"
Tiana Benton said intently.
Sierra nodded.
"Don't worry, Tiana.I will give it my best."
As soon as she fixed the makeup, her assistant opened the door.
Sierra confidently got out of the van, gently lifting the hemline of her skirt.
The reporters soon burst into an uproar and started clicking pictures.
Sierra's heart swelled with pride as she assumed her arrival had caused the sensation. She smiled and lifted her hand to greet the reporters.
"Hi..."
However, before she could finish her words, the reporters ran past her, leaving her all alone.
Sierra's face turned ghastly pale. She turned around and saw a flamboyant red sports car parked at a distance that garnered everyone's attention.
The doors of the sports car lifted.
A beautiful woman in sunglasses and a black, tight dress stepped out.
"Claire? What the hell is she doing here?"
Sierra's eyes widened; her body froze in shock.
