Chapter 264

“You would know soon.” This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Briana and Melody were heading towards the private room they had reserved. As they passed by the room Maxim had booked, Briana suddenly turned around and pushed the door open.

Melody exclaimed, “Briana, that’s not our compartment…”

However, Briana just walked in as if she hadn’t heard anything.

The few people in the box heard the sound and simultaneously turned their heads towards the door.

Upon realizing that besides Maxim and the client, Kiley and Rayan were also in the box, Briana’s brow furrowed almost imperceptibly.

Soon, her expression returned to normal, even revealing a hint of surprise and just the right amount of panic.

“Sorry, I went into the wrong box.”

Kiley saw Briana, a flash of hatred quickly flickered in her eyes, soon hidden within her calm gaze. Only her tightly clenched hands on her legs revealed the emotional turmoil she was experiencing at that

moment.

This wretch, how is she everywhere?! ·

Briana subtly shifted to the side, exposing Melody behind her to the gazes of several people.

Upon seeing Melody, a flicker of guilt suddenly flashed in the client’s

eyes. He quickly stood up and said with a smile, “So you’re dining here tonight as well.”

Melody chuckled, understanding Briana’s intentions, and nodded, “Hmm, MY Corporation’s autumn new products have been selling well recently. I’ve arranged for a few interested distributors to come over to discuss about the authorization.”

The implication was, it’s not just you who has choices, MY Corporation also has many options.

The client gave a dry laugh, “I also just happened to run into Mr. Yoder tonight, so we had dinner together.”

The smile on Melody’s lips deepened a bit more, “Well, take your time eating. My assistant was too reckless, the private room we booked is next door, she got it wrong.”

After speaking, she turned to Briana, “Briana, aren’t you going to apologize to Mr. Yoder and Mr. Cruz quickly?”

Briana dismounted from the donkey at the slope, looking towards Maxim and Mr. Cruz.

“Sorry, it was my fault tonight. I hope it didn’t affect your dining mood.”

Ever since Briana pushed open the door and walked into the box, Maxim had a bad feeling in his heart.

Seeing the indifference in her eyes as she looked at him at that moment, he suddenly felt that if he didn’t explain himself, he would completely lose her.

“Is this how Briana apologized?”

Briana hadn’t expected Maxim to suddenly turn on her, a flash of

coldness flickered in her eyes as she looked at Maxim with a chilly

gaze.

“What did Mr. Yoder think should be done?”

“At the very least, you should have personally offered a toast to express your apology.”

Briana pursed her lips, realizing that her behavior tonight was indeed a bit rude, she nodded and said, “Okay.”

She walked to the table, poured herself a glass of wine, raised a toast to Maxim and Mr. Cruz, and was about to drink when Maxim spoke

again.

“Take it slow.”

Impatience flashed in Briana’s eyes, and her facial expression turned icy.

“Was there anything else Mr. Yoder was not satisfied with?”

“Come to my side to toast.”

Briana gritted her teeth, suppressing the anger within her.

She walked up to Maxim, each word seeming to be squeezed out from between her teeth.

“Mr. Yoder, I salute you!”

The moment she lowered her head, Maxim spoke in a voice only the two of them could hear, “Wait for me to go back together later.”

Briana simply pretended not to hear, and left the box directly after paying her respects to Mr. Cruz.

Maxim knew very well that Briana would absolutely not wait for him, so less than five minutes after Briana left, he stood up and said, “I have something else to do, please excuse me.”

Now the CharmDress was already under Kiley’s name, and Maxim’s presence at this dinner was merely to support Kiley.

Seeing Briana now, all he could think about was her indifferent expression from earlier, he had no mood to care about anything else.

Kiley subconsciously grabbed his sleeve, her face somewhat flustered, “Maxim, don’t go, okay?”

She had never dealt with such a situation before, and if Maxim were to leave, she wouldn’t know what to do.

Maxim pulled up his sleeves, his voice low.

“Rayan would help you.”

After speaking, he immediately turned around and left.

Kiley stared intently at his retreating figure, her heart filled with resentment and sorrow.

Tonight, she also experienced the feeling of deliberately finding excuses to take Maxim away from Briana, just like she used to.
