Elias’ Crimes and Punishments of Romance

Chapter 528 The Truth

Chapter 528 The Truth

Symeon shot a glance at the bodyguard behind him and said, “Get the report.”

The bodyguard nodded and left.

Then, the bodyguard returned with the DNA test within a minute. Simon took it and threw it right into the woman’s arms.

“Take a look for yourself. What’s the use of denying it? The fact is right in front of you.”

Casey opened the file folder with an incredulous expression on her face. Then, she quickly flipped through the pages and found that she and Dulcie truly had a parent-child relationship!

What did this mean?

Was she Dulcie’s biological mother?

She held onto the DNA test results with shaky hands, unable to believe her

own eyes. She had never had a boyfriend or any intimate relationship with a man. Forget the man before her, how could she possibly have a daughter?

What was going on?

So, Casey slowly raised her head and looked at the man’s handsome face. Eventually, she started shaking her head, saying, “It’s impossible, absolutely impossible. How could this be…”

The DNA test slipped from her hand and fell to the ground as she turned and fled as though the hellhounds were snapping at her heels.

The bodyguard was about to chase after her, but Symeon stopped him. “There’s no need to chase her. She knows everything; she just doesn’t want to admit it. A woman like her is not. worthy of being my

child’s mother.”

The bodyguard nodded solemnly.

Casey ran all the way out of Galaxy Bay and only stopped after running a long distance. Once she did, she started gasping for breath.

Her mind was filled with images of the DNA test. She still couldn’t accept this reality.

How could this be…

She was in such a daze that she didn’t even know how she had returned home.

As she passed through the living room, she saw her stepmother, Eleanor Collins, and her younger brother chatting and laughing. Nonetheless, she blithely ignored them as she walked past them without a care.

Alas, Eleanor noticed her, and the smile on the woman’s face disappeared. “What’s wrong with you? How could you come home without even greeting us? Is this how you treat your elders?”

Casey simply stopped and glanced at her young stepmother. “Well, this is how I live my life. What can you do about it?”

She had never liked her stepmother and wanted to move out. However, she was afraid that her stepmother would use the opportunity to tarnish her image in front of her father. Once that happened, that would only make their strained relationship even worse.

Just then, Philip Carter, who was Casey’s father, came downstairs and said, “Casey, why are you being so rude to Aunt Eleanor? You’re not a child anymore, don’t you have any manners? Is this how I’ve taught you?”

The moment Eleanor saw that Philip was here, she immediately put on a different face and said kindly, “Philip, don’t blame Casey. She’s a grown-up now, so you shouldn’t treat her so harshly. Besides, it’s not a big deal. We’re family.”

How hypocritical.

Casey didn’t want to waste even a second looking at this pretentious woman. So, she turned. to go upstairs.

Alas, she was scolded by her father. “Look at you, and look at your younger brother. Your younger brother is far more sensible than you.”

The child that Eleanor had with her father? In recent years, her father had been overjoyed to have a child in his old age. Regardless, she always had a niggling feeling that this younger brother came at a strange time. Regrettably, she had no evidence to prove her suspicions.

“Well, I suppose you should just spend your time on that guy, then. I just want my mother and I to have our rightful share of the inheritance.” Once she had said her piece, she went upstairs without looking back.

“You’re really trying to make me angry! You brat!”

Philip glared at his daughter’s retreating back. In fact, he was so angry that he almost fainted due to the high blood pressure she had caused him.

Eleanor hurriedly ran over to support him and said, “Hey, why are you getting angry with a child? She will understand your good intentions in the future.”

“She always makes me so angry. She’s already twenty-four years old! How can she still be considered a child? She’s as stubborn as her mother. They’re both as stubborn as a mule,” Philip complained as he made himself comfortable on the sofa.

Meanwhile, Eleanor pretended to comfort him. Still, she thought inwardly, Thank God I killed the child Casey had given birth to. Otherwise, there would be even more trouble brewing before I could get my hands on the Carters’ money.

Eleanor knew that Casey had slept with a rich and noble man in the past. If Casey had given. birth to that man’s child, there was no doubt that Eleanor would be leading a miserable life right now.

In fact, just the mere thought of how her scheme had failed made her furious. She had drugged Casey back then with the intention of sending her to the bed of a fat and disgusting gangster with the hopes of ruining Casey’s reputation in one fell stroke.

Yet, by a twist of fate, she sent this little b*tch to the bed of a big shot.

Eleanor didn’t know who that mysterious big shot was. She only knew that he was a very rich and powerful man. So, when she discovered that Casey had become pregnant, she knew right then that she had to stop the child from ever being born.

Alas, she only found out about the child when Casey gave birth as the hospital called to ask the family to sign some papers.

Casey holed herself in her room as she sat on the bed, holding a pillow, utterly lost in thought. She didn’t even notice that tears had rolled down her cheeks.

Was that child really hers….

She didn’t want to admit it, but she couldn’t lie about the DNA test.

When did she give birth to this child? Dulcie looked like she was already three! Regardless, she was more than certain that she was only 24 this year! So, was it possible that she had given birth when she was only 21?

Even if that did happen, it still didn’t explain the fact that she had no memory of giving birth, or meeting Mr. Lawrence.

How did this child come into existence?

It seemed too unbelievable. Now that she had more time to herself to digest this piece of news, it was also more than a little bit terrifying.

Over at the Winters Residence, Elias was discharged from the hospital at noon. Since he hadn’t figured out how to explain himself to Amanda, he decided to head to the

It was already evening by the time he returned to the Winters Estate. company.

When he inquired about Amanda’s activities, he learned from Boris that she didn’t seem to be waiting for him to come home. If anything, she had been out all day and only arrived. home ten minutes before he did. Also, to make matters even more outrageous, she was currently soaking in the hot spring.

“Soaking in the hot spring?” Elias almost laughed at the absurdity of it all.

Boris nodded. “Yes, Mr. Aiden has already taken a bath and gone to sleep. Madam is soaking in the hot spring. She also instructed me to tell you to rest early and not bother her once you returned.”

Elias’ anger surged to its peak after hearing the butler’s words. This woman was deliberately provoking him.

Well, it was a shame that she wasn’t going to get what she wanted because he was determined to bother her!

Therefore, he dismissed Boris and stomped right in the direction of the hot spring.

Boris watched the man’s angry figure and shook his head helplessly. He didn’t know how long this couple would keep fighting. It didn’t help that whenever they quarreled, it was the Winters’ employees who suffered.

Amanda was reclined in the hot spring, clad only in a towel. Her hair was casually gathered in a bun as beads of perspiration glistened on her forehead.

She had her eyes closed as she leaned against the stone wall, seeking relaxation.

Besides, she had already anticipated Elias’ inevitable intrusion. Hence, she had mentally prepared herself for any situation.

As expected, a series of urgent and enraged footsteps drew nearer. A smile graced her lips.

The footsteps grew louder until they halted in front of her. Elias bellowed in anger, “Amanda, what is the meaning of this? Are we now going to live our own lives and remain married in name? Don’t you care that I’ve been discharged? What about my injuries? Have you stopped loving me?”

Amanda slowly raised her eyes and said, “So what? If I have indeed stopped loving you, wouldn’t it make it easier for you to cheat on me emotionally?”

I stared at her in complete bewilderment. He couldn’t understand how things had turned out this way. In fact, why was he being falsely accused of something he didn’t even do? At this point, he was on the brink of losing his temper.

The next moment, he took off his suit jacket and threw it aside in a huff. Then, he unbuttoned his shirt, one button at a time. Soon, he started removing his pants, starting with his belt.

She felt a bit panicked when she saw his reaction and instinctively swam away with furrowed. brows. “What are you doing? Who told you to undress? Find another time to soak in the hot springs! This place belongs to me tonight.”

Before she could finish her sentence, he had already walked straight into the hot spring. To make matters worse, his long legs carried him toward her.

“Ah!” She couldn’t help but scream as she started resisting, pushing him away with her hands.

Unfortunately, she was no match for him as he only embraced her tighter, making it impossible for her to struggle away from his grasp.
