Chapter 900 A-list Killer

After he found the killer, Darian reported to Theo. “Hey, bro. I’ve found a killer on the A-list. He never All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

missed anyone with an experience of more than a thousand missions. He’s experienced but costly,”

said Darian with a fading voice.

“How much?” asked Theo calmly.

“Five million and five hundred thousand dollars. But he will keep it to himself. If he doesn’t make it, he

won’t let the cat out of the bag even at the cost of his life,” said Darian.

Theo was also worried that if the killer failed and got caught, it would be a disaster to them once the

killer told the truth that they were indeed involved in it. For the sake of controlling the Griffith’s, he had

no time for other issues.

“That’s it. Just make sure he keeps it to himself,” said Theo clenching his teeth.

“Got it.” Darian started to contact the killer and sent him the photo of Samuel.

When the killer received the mission, he came to Theo’s house without delay.

Theo thought someone was visiting him. When he found nobody outside, he poked his head out

subconsciously. Suddenly someone came off the roof like a black shadow and placed a knife on his

neck, which terrified Theo and made him stand still. He found a tattoo of the number “13” on the killer’s

face. He thought it was some uninvited guest so he asked in horror, “Who are you? Why are you here?”

The killer didn’t reply but asked, “Didn’t you invite me over?”

“Oh, it’s you. You must be killer no.13, right?” It suddenly occurred to him that this man was the killer

hired by him when he saw the tattoo of the number “13” on the killer’s face.

This killer ranked thirteenth on the Killer List on which the first 100 were all skilled master-hands. The

killer must have got something up his sleeve to ranked the top 20.

“Then why don’t you carry it out today?” asked Theo in doubt.

The killer sneered, “I won’t do anything until I have the money.”

“Well, here’s the money.” Theo took out a bank card and handed it over to the killer hurriedly. He was

surprised by how serious the killer was.

After taking the bank card, Theo took out a pos machine and uttered the most scaring words calmly, “If

there’s nothing in there, you will be so sorry for it.”

Theo felt a chill down his spine and broke out in a cold sweat. He would have been so dead if it had

been short of a penny.

When the killer saw the money, he smiled and said, “Don’t worry, boss! I will see to it.”

Theo was struck dumb because he had never seen anyone who was so smart. But he was quite happy

with that as he assumed the killer would make it.

At the same time, Victoria went out of her way to buy a lot of health care products to visit her grandpa.

Maximilian smell a rat when driving. He had been in the troubled world for so long which made him

alert to danger. Although danger was sometimes intangible, he was crystal clear that the danger aimed

at Samuel’s house, so he sped up spontaneously. Victoria rolled her eyes at him as they were almost

there so she didn’t understand why he would drive so fast. But she didn’t blow a fuse and put up with it

for the time being.

After parking the car, Maximilian quickly walked into Samuel’s house. The killer was about to take

action when they arrived. He was unhappy with that and thought to himself, “Looks like I should ask for

more money after it’s done.”

Maximilian knocked on the door and Samuel opened it to find it was Maximilian but Samuel didn’t

disdain Maximilian like what he used to do.

Victoria said with a smile, “Grandpa, you must feel sluggish after living in the hospital for a long time.

I’ve got some health care products to help you recover.”

“Good Victoria. You are my good girl. No one else has ever stopped by to talk with me ever since I was

discharged from hospital,” said Samuel with a sigh.

Victoria was sensitive. She felt that Samuel had changed all of a sudden from a strong yet stubborn

grandpa to be an amiable grandpa because of the serious illness.

Maximilian had the intuition that the enemy hadn’t left but stayed there.

The killer hid himself in the dark awaiting. When he was about to take action, he felt disturbed and

uncomfortable which upset him. But he decided to do it leaving the fear behind. Suddenly, he looked

right into Maximilian’s cold eyes, which really sent a chill down his spine. He couldn’t help being

nervous. But he tried to stay calm telling himself that he was in such a hidden place that no one would

spot him.

He was all prepared having assembled his tool which was a special crossbow that shot arrows much

more silently than the sound-muffled bullets. Yet, it was still powerful enough to kill a person.

He still felt that Maximilian was staring at him and then he was 100% positive about that when he again

looked right into Maximilian’s eyes. He shook his head and aimed at Samuel biting the bullet. When he

triggered his crossbow, Maximilian squinted and threw a bag of cigarette instantly.

The killer smirked and thought to himself, “I thought he would be something. He turns out to be

nothing.” To his surprise, it was so fast that it stopped his arrow easily. He was upset and couldn’t

believe what had happened. He was struck dumb.

Samuel was also stumped to see what had happened but managed to calm down. He never expected

that someone would kill him.

“No sweat, Grandpa. Maximilian is on it. It’s gonna be all right,” said Victoria trying to comfort Samuel.

Maximilian was like Victoria’s patron saint and she believed whatever difficulties could be overcome as

long as Maximilian was around.

The killer was terrified. He thought to himself, “He must be some master-hand. I should take him down

first. Otherwise, I don’t get to accomplish my task today.” He was determined to tackle Maximilian, who

took out the cigarette butts and threw out instantly, one of which stopped the arrow and the other hit the

killer on his body.
