Chapter 276

It was early morning and the octuplets had left for school with Arianna.

Lisa was awoken by the sound of her phone ringing tone. She checked the caller’s ID and saw it was the nurse she had hired to take care of Samantha.

She stared at Mellisa who was still asleep. She walked out of the room and went downstairs before answering the phone call.

“Hey Khloe, I thought I sent the money for the surgery, why are you calling?” she asked as she answered the phone call.

“Miss Lisa, the surgery didn’t go as planned. I’m not sure Mrs Samantha would stay alive too long, she’s requesting to see Adrianna” the nurse said and the sleep in Lisa’s eyes disappeared at once.

“What? What do you mean she won’t make it? I paid a large sum of money so she would get the surgery, what went wrong?” She asked as a cold shiver ran down her spine.

“A lot went wrong Lisa. I can’t talk about it on the phone, you just need to let Adrianna see her only family one last time” the nurse said and Lisa sighed softly.

“How would I be able to tell Mellisa that her grandma would not make it? It would break her. She only agreed to act as Mellisa because I agreed to treat her grandma. I’ll see what I can do”, she said and then sighed before hanging up.

She sighed and then turned when she heard someone from behind her cough slightly.

“Hannah….” She called with a surprised look on her face.

Hannah had woken up so early and did her normal morning routine, and then walked out of the room, going downstairs to the kitchen to get her morning coffee.

She had gone downstairs and heard Lisa’s voice, she was talking to someone on the phone and she sounded so worried.

She wondered what was making her so worried, she decided to eavesdrop on her conversation.

She opened her eyes wide in shock as she heard all Lisa was saying.

She coughed slightly and Lisa turned to her.

“Hannah,” she called with a surprised look on her face.

“How could you take a child from her dying grandma for your selfish reason?” Hannah yelled with a look of horror on her face.

“Whatever you heard isn’t true, I was talking about someone else,” Lisa said and was about to walk past Hannah but she held her and pulled her back.

“Don’t you dare walk past me? I knew Melissa wasn’t Brandon’s child but I just didn’t have enough proof, so I chose not to say anything to Brandon,” Hannah said and Lisa laughed.

“You don’t know what you are talking about. You think Brandon is going to believe you when you tell him the truth, go on, tell him, he won’t believe a word you say” Lisa said and Hannah stared at her looking amused by her confidence even after she’s been caught.

“He’s going to believe everything I say ”

“Then why hasn’t he thrown me out of this house like you wanted? It’s your word against mine, Hannah”

“I never wanted you out because you have no place to go from here. And Mellisa had bought you some free time in staying here but guess what your stay here has expired and I’m going to tell Brandon the truth.

Like you said, it’s your word against mine” she said and was about walking away when Lisa pulled her hair. Hannah groaned and turned swiftly and gave her a dirty slap on her face making her stagger back.

“How dare you slap me” Lisa yelled and was about to hit Hannah, but she was quick to catch her hands in the air and push her back.

“You’ve crossed your boundary, Lisa. Enough is enough” Hannah said to Lisa who was breathing heavily, looking so furious.

“I won’t let you ruin my plans, never” She gritted her teeth and then clenched her fist, and Hannah scoffed.

“Your plan has been ruined a long time ago, Lisa-”

“What’s going on here?” Brandon, who had heard noises from downstairs, was seen climbing down the stairs and both ladies turned to her.

“What’s going on Hannah?” Brandon asked.

“It’s Hannah, I came downstairs and she told me that I’m going to ruin her marriage with you and that she hates me and Melissa, ” Lisa said as tears gathered in her eyes. She moved towards Brandon and held his arms while she cried.

Brandon stared at her and then at Hannah who had a smirk on her face.

She hadn’t seen anyone as pretentious as Lisa, she’s a little bitch, Hannah thought and then scoffed.Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

“I hope you ain’t believing anytime that comes out of this bitch mouth,” Hannah said to Brandon who removed Lisa’s hands from his arms.

“What happened?” Brandon asked, looking confused.

“She lied to you Brandon, she lied about Mellisa being your child. She had convinced the little girl to act as Mellisa because her grandma was sick. She took advantage of the whole situation ” Hannah said and Brandon turned to Lisa at once, the look on his face gradually changing.

He squinted his eyes as he stared at Lisa.

“Is this true?” He asked not wanting to believe what Hannah was saying because Mellisa looked a lot like his daughter, he felt that connection when he first saw her.

“She’s lying, Brandon. You know how much she hates me and wants me out of this house. She’s lying to you” Lisa said and Brandon turned to Hannah.

“Don’t give me that look, I’m not lying Brandon, she’s lying” Hannah said while staring at Brandon. He didn’t say a word to her. She was expecting him to say he believed her but his look said it all, he didn’t believe her.

She scoffed and shook her head.

“She always lies and you always fall for her lies, like she has some sort of hold over you,” Hannah said with a look of disappointment on her face. She stared at Lisa and noticed she had a smirk on her lips.

“Hannah, I didn’t say I didn’t believe you… I…”

“She’s saying the truth Brandon” They heard a voice from behind and turned only to see Lucas.
