"Yasin, are you upset?"

Nino tucks a small potato into his bowl and couldn't help asking.

Yasin looks back at her.

"You don't look very well." Nino says.

"Let’s just have the meal."

He doesn't say anything more.

Yasin doesn’t want to tell her that, just an hour ago, he witnessed the death of a patient. Even though he is a doctor, he failed to save his patient’s live.

He thinks that as a doctor, he should have got used to tasting the loss of life, but he failed either.

He feels stressed and a kind of unspeakable heaviness, which prevents him from breathing smoothly.

Noticing Yasin’s silence, Nino stops asking. Anyway, she should not concern too much.

Feeling disturbed, she bends her head down and pretends to focus on the meal.

Yasin stares at Nino's drooping face. What she says greatly comforted him. Yasin feels relieved again.

Nino has finished her meal while more than half of the dishes are still on the table. Yasin doesn’t eat anything, but sits opposite and watches her.

Nino wipes her mouth with a tissue and tries to continue the discussion about decoration. Then suddenly, Yasin’s cell phone rings.

It is a call from the hospital department.

"Come back quickly, Yasin. Something wrong with your patient. She might need an operation immediately. " said Leon Cai, a colleague from the same department, who ranks third in qualifications.

"Who is that patient? " Yasin frowns.

"The bed No. 18 on the tenth floor, Jack's mother is in bad condition."

"OK, I get it. You prepare for the operation and I'll be back soon."

"OK."

Yasin hangs up in a hurry.

"Does something urgent happen?" Nino asks and predicts that Yasin may stop the conversation.

"Yes, a patient needs an operation right away." Yasin puts away the mobile phone and stands up. He looks down at Nino and says, "Miss Yin, we have to discuss about the new house decoration next time."

"Well, that’s OK." Nino nods and can fully understand him.

Yasin leaves the table in a hurry and goes straight to the cashier desk.

Seeing Yasin disappear in the hotel doorway, Nino feels wistful and has a sense of loss in his heart.

Fifteen minutes later, Yasin arrives at the hospital and gets into the surgery department. He changes the clothes into a blue sterile surgical suit, and went into the cleaning area to wash his hands.

At that time, Leon has changed the sterile clothes and came over, "Yasin, stop thinking about the operation this afternoon. We are doctors, not saviors. We just need to try our best."

"Take it easy. That will not affect the operation now."

Yasin picks up a brush next to him and brushes his arms carefully.

"By the way, does the patient's family kick up a row?" Yasin asks.

"No, they might be mentally prepared for the result."

"Well." Yasin pondered.

Leon sees him smile and asks, "You look much better than when you came out of the operating room. What happened to you just now?"

"Nothing happened," Yasin answers, "I feel more relaxed now." He glanced up at himself in the mirror.

When he finishes the disinfection procedure, Yasin raises his arms and walks firmly to the operating room. "I'll go first. Please hurry up."

"Well, I know!"

At seven in the evening, Nino was dining with her mother and sister.

Nino finishes the meal in a hurry and says," Mom, I need to do my part-time job soon. You don’t need to wait for us tonight. Just get to bed early. And after working, I will go to look up Yann and sleep outside tonight."

"Nino, eat slowly." Yin's mother Lambe Qin says. She sighed in a low voice. "How come such a good lady torture herself like this."

"Mom, I'm fine, your daughter is always strong." Nino comforts her mother.

"I know, you think you're Hercules!" Shaira Yin could not resist complaining. "You are nothing but skin and bone. Why don't you try to treat yourself better?"

" Nino, I have been thinking for a long time. No matter what happens, you must promise to go on a good date this time. Aunt Lin next door introduced the man to me. He is 38 years old and has a second marriage and a daughter. But he is rich and has good traits. Maybe that’s a good opportunity."

Hearing mother's words, Nino feels down, "Mom, it's really not that I don't want to go on a blind date. Yann is still in bad condition. We may just trouble others in the end."

"Nino, we both persuaded you not to give birth to Yann’s. But you just rejected it. And now Yann’s illness will continue troubling you..." Shaira does not stop until being interrupted by Lambe Qin. Lambe scolds, "What nonsense you are talking about! How sad Yann would be if he hears your words."

"I don't mean that..." Shaira is afraid that Nino will be sad. She quickly explains, "I don't mean to blame Yann. I just feel sorry for you. You always need to work so hard."

"I know what you mean." Nino nods, "I know you both love me dearly. Ok, I promise that, as soon as Yann recovers, I will take part in many blind dates immediately. I will get married within one year."

Listening to Nino’s words, Lambe and Shaira look at each other and get in total silence.

But when will Yann make a full recovery? Can he really get well?
