Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 1109

Wesley's heart ached badly as he listened to Yerick. He couldn't imagine the kind of life Yerick led, and how tough it must have been all alone. The tears welling up in Wesley's eyes made Yerick look curiously at him. "Mr. Spencer, what's the matter? Are you pitying me?"

"Oh no, not at all," Wesley hurriedly explained. "It's just that after hearing you out, I find you such a strong child. You're 19 years old, which is of schooling age. Are you studying right now?"

He knew that many orphans in orphanages didn't get the chance to study.

"Mr. Spencer, I have three doctoral degrees," Yerick replied.

Wesley was shocked to hear that. "You...you have three doctoral degrees?"

Yerick nodded. "I had two, but I received my third one in recent months."

Wesley was in disbelief. "You're a genius?"

"Well..." Yerick pondered for a moment. "I wouldn't dare call myself a genius, but in my opinion, studying is the easiest thing to do in the world. I have a photographic memory, which makes exams easy as pie for me."

Wesley observed Yerick, and could sense that he was an intelligent child.

If Yerick really were his son...

He couldn't imagine if Yerick really were his son. They had lost out on so many years between them, and he didn't even know about Yerick's existence before they met. Wouldn't that make him a very disappointing father to this child?

"Eat up. The food's getting cold."

Wesley wanted to know even more about Yerick, but the growing fear in his heart stopped him from asking further.Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.

He was worried that the more he found out, the more anxious he would be.

If Yerick really were his son and his son had suffered so much, what should he do?

After they were done with lunch, Yerick glanced at his watch.

"Mr. Spencer, I have something to attend to in the afternoon and need to make a move. Where are you headed to now?"

"I have some things to settle, too. Where are you going? I'll send you there."

"No need, Mr. Spencer. I'll just take a cab. Go ahead and be busy."

"Alright, then." Wesley didn't dare to be too friendly with Yerick.

The two of them arrived at the entrance.

Suddenly, Wesley said, "Wait."

"What's the matter, Mr. Spencer?"

"You have a strand of white hair. Can I help you pluck it off?" Wesley said as he lifted a hand.

Yerick nodded. "Sure."

Wesley plucked out a strand of hair from Yerick's head.

"Mr. Spencer, let me see," Yerick immediately said.

"Oh dear, it's gone," Wesley said. "It dropped after I plucked it out."

In truth, he was clenching the strand of hair tight in his fist for fear that he might lose it.

"Alright." Yerick didn't pursue the matter. "I'll be off then, Mr. Spencer."

"Yerick," Wesley called out to him again.

"Is there anything else?"

"Can we

can contact each other again. I think we clicked very well. Maybe we can be friends."

Yerick keyed in his number and handed the phone back to Wesley.

Wesley even gave Yerick a call, as if worried Yerick might have typed his number wrongly.
