She completed the work and returned them to he gave her other ones. This process repeated itself till lunchtime and she couldn’t go for lunch.

She kept working and ended up exhausting herself, totally forgetting about Jaxton.

Around about 3pm, Jaxton barged into her office, seeming upset.

“Why haven’t you come to me since morning and why are you even here?” He asked sternly.

“Paxton took me back” she said to him and he exploded.

“What do you mean Paxton took you back?” He asked and she stared at her fingers.

“After my efforts and persuasion to make you come back, here you are telling me Paxton took you back, is there something you’re not telling me?” He asked furiously.

“It’s not what you think, I was on my way to your office when he asked me to follow him” she tried explaining but he cut her words short.

“Spare me that bullshit!!, If I didn’t come over yesterday would you have come back? What’s even wrong with Paxton he yelled, turning around and making his way towards Paxton’s office only to find him standing by the door and staring at them both”.

“You son of a bitch!!” He yelled at Paxton who remained fixed at the point he was.

“Whether you like it or not, Sydney is now my personal worker and there’s nothing you can do about it!!” He yelled at Paxton who squinted his gaze at him.

“On what account?” He asked calmly.

“You fired her, true or false?” Jaxton asked him.

“I didn’t fire her,” he said and Sydney’s eyes opened wide.

“What’s he saying?” She asked herself.

“Are you kidding!!?” He yelled at him.

“Stop yelling at me bloody bastard, now show me a sack letter to prove that I fired her” he said angrily.

“What game are you playing?” You fired her and that’s final?” He said to Paxton who kept staring at him.

“Sydney when you’re done, pick the documents on my desk” he said nonchalantly and Jaxton gripped his collar as he was about to turn around and leave.

Sydney was scared as she didn’t want the brothers to break out fighting because of an issue that concerns her. The tension in the office became very high.
