Carey had been working with Joel a year after he established his company and could boldly attest that she had never seen him so confused about making up his mind.

He had acted cold toward Anna and then got excited over the business deal, but then seemed to be undecided about agreeing to the opportunity and now she was meeting up with Adam to pick Anna at the airport.

When they had contacted Anna about the arrangement, she said it is unnecessary and she wouldn’t want to intrude, but Adam managed to tease the woman into agreeing.

Anna had known Adam for as long as she had known Joel anyway, so in some sense, this is a reunion of some sort.

Carey and Adam headed towards the airport upon meeting up, and it was quite awkward in the car.

Soon, an elegant beauty dressed in a sexy velvet red gown with beautiful pearls adorning its waistline and bust area walked out, stealing attention from passersby.

She moved with grace like she owned the planet and every living being in it. Soon, she spotted Adam and Carey, who waved at her.

Upon getting closer, Adam couldn’t help giving compliments to how sexy and mature Anna looks now, unlike her past self that acts wild and carefree.

Anna smiled softly as they shared a brief hug.

Carey reintroduced herself and couldn’t help but notice Anna’s eyes sizing her up and down before she gave a soft smile and shook her hand.

After they assisted Anna to the hotel that had been prepared for her, she excused herself and explained that she had lots of work to do to prepare for the upcoming movie shoot and asked them to come find her for a proper conversation the following week.

“Take enough rest in between, Anna.” Adam said, and Anna nodded with a sweet smile on her face.

“We will leave you to your work now. Do enjoy your stay here as it is the best hotel in town. I will reach out to confirm the day and actual timing of our next visit. My boss extends his good wishes.” Carey said with a formal tone, in which Anna just nodded to.

A few minutes later, both Carey and Adam had just stepped inside his car after exiting the hotel.

“That went well.” Carey said with a relief sigh.

“You don’t look nervous earlier.” Adam teased.

Carey wore a dramatic expression as she instantly turned to Adam, who was in the driver seat beside her. “Are you kidding me?” She asked.

“No.” Adam replied with a straight face, although he once again noticed how beautiful the girl looked so close.

“My heart was beating so loudly, I fear she would hear it. Can you imagine how good of an opportunity this project was? And my boss actually sent a friend to accompany me. I mean….. who does that and hope to get the deal?. I should thank the fact that they had histories between them. Otherwise, this collaboration is gone gone gone! And you expect me not to freak out? Imagine how widespread our company’s fame will get after this? And the thought of losing it?” Carey ranted notstop, her face having made various expressions now flushed with a shade of pink.

Adam found himself entranced in her eyes as he listened to her. Her passion for Joel’s company really is extraordinary, but her charm as an individual topped everything.

Unable to understand the urge that came for him to seal her lips that wouldn’t stop talking with his own, Adam coughed lightly to bring her back to her senses and the sight that happened next made his heart skip a bit.

She had paused her lips in the middle of speaking, which now formed an O shape as she froze in realization of her overexcited demeanour.

Her face instantly flushed a deeper shade of pink as it bordered to a red hue.

Adam found her so cute that he had to look away to stay focused.

Carey cleared her throat and said in a small voice. “I got too carried away. Sorry for the rants and please don’t tell my boss. He will tease me to death.” Carey added the last line in a softer tone.

Adam chuckled. “Secret safe with me.” He said silence soon ensued in the car as he started to drive.

Carey wondered what got over her, and Adam wondered why he hadn’t noticed her before.

They barely encountered each other, and the present day had been the longest time they shared a space and talked so much.

Carey is a type of woman who knows her place and never crosses her boundaries. One could easily overlook her presence in a setting as long as she wasn’t fixated on an individual, but when fixated like Adam had been on that current day, one would realize her grace and how much more there is to her simple outlook.

Not only was she beautiful, but she’s also got a good mentality and is a very hardworking woman.

Adam couldn’t help but notice her present more and more. Every little movement  from her jolted his senses, and he found himself holding back from turning to take a look.
