Burned Once, Never Again (Niamh and Castiel)

Chapter 41

The pressure was pure malice.

Niamh groaned in pain, feeling the world spin from the suffocation.

"Niamh, you're asking for death!" Castiel was truly furious.

Since they had been together, Niamh had always lived under his protection, essentially relying him. But now, the woman he had shielded for so many years was shouting that she was being protected by another man. Was he dead in her eyes?

"Did I not tell you? The men of the Jamison family do not get divorced, only widowed." He glared at the silent Niamh.

Castiel's voice was laced with menace as he leaned close to her ear. His tone was dangerously

intense.

Niamh responded, "I already said, either you start this or you die! Right now, I'll just consider you dead!"

Castiel was speechless.

In the confined space, the atmosphere grew even more perilously tense.

"Get away from me!" As Castiel's hand reached for her bathrobe, Niamh raised her hand to slap

him.

But Castiel was prepared; he gripped her wrist tightly, restraining her.

He had always been gentle to her. Now suddenly assertive and domineering, Castiel overpowered Niamh effortlessly.

She looked at him with contempt. "I dare you!"

"Don't forget that you're still my wife."

"Now you remember that I'm your wife? How have you treated me these past days? Having a husband like you is truly a curse. At my most difficult time, I still needed another man to protect me!"

Her words were like pouring fuel on the fire. Castiel was already angry, but now, he wanted to tear Niamh apart.

None of them was willing to take a step back.

At the hospital, Macy had just removed the bandages from her eyes.

Sienna, already unhappy about Naomi's return, was even more irritable upon seeing Macy. "You'd better be careful not to get caught."

"I've already taken care of the hospital staff," Macy replied.

"Even if you've managed them well, there can still be oversights!" Sienna snapped.

This scheme took so long to come together. Especially now that Niamh and Castiel were at odds. Castiel, raised in the Jamison family's pampered environment, was bound to lose his patience eventually.

When that happened, Niamh and he would naturally part ways. Hence, Sienna knew Macy would not do anything wrong at this point.

Macy gazed at Sienna, looking upset. "I know what to do. Don't forget that we're working together on this.

She was not hired by Sienna.

It also reminded Sienna of the situation. After a moment, she looked at Macy and said, "You're right, but don't try to aim for things that you shouldn't even think about."

Macy remained silent as this wasn't the time for them to fight.

"What's their situation now?" Macy was in the hospital, so she didn't know much about what was happening to Castiel. She could only see everything about Niamh and Castiel through the news. Seeing the reports, t was evident that things were tumultuous. And yet, despite the intensity of the situation, they still hadn't divorced.

"It's been quite a mess, but it will probably be resolved within the next couple of days," Sienna said.
