Chapter 505 I’ll Make Sure He Has No Chance To Wipe The Slate Clean
Lynette Lanes immediately stood in front of Stella and shouted at Warren, “Don’t we still have laws here? You can’t just randomly hit people like that.”
“My words are the law here. Teach them a lesson!” Warren’s men immediately charged forward.
Stella Grace was still very composed, “Did you think that I had come here unprepared? The evidence of your murder is in my hands. If you want to die, then just go ahead and lay a finger on us.”
“Stop,” Warren looked at Stella doubtfully. “Who the hell are you? Where did you get the evidence?”
“After you were ordered to kill Vera, you blamed the crime on me. Unfortunately, you didn’t clean up your mess well. Kevin knows everything, and there’s even a recording as evidence,” Stella went straight to the point.
“What the hell do you want?” Warren yelled with rage.
“When you killed Vera, have you ever thought of the power she has behind her?” Stella asked.
“She’s just an ignorant woman who only knows how to find gigolos and gamble her money away. What kind of power could she even have?” Warren retorted scornfully.
“Both her sons are working in the military. If they want to kill you, they could do it in seconds.”
“That old woman has offended the Chief’s wife. Both her sons wouldn’t even be able to protect themselves now. Besides, who could possibly know that I’m the one who had killed her?” After saying that, Warren glared at Stella, “What are you doing here anyway?”
“I’m here to save you,” Stella took out a notepad from her bag and wrote down her phone number. She handed it to Warren and said, “You know too much. You also know the person behind you fairly well. Do you think that he’ll let you stay alive to testify against him? Call me if you still want to live.”
Warren looked at Stella in shock.
Stella smiled confidently. Her smile carried a profound meaning to it, and it was as if she could foresee the future.
Warren’s brows were snapped together as he took the note from Stella’s hand. He looked at it and hurled it at the ground. He pointed at her fiercely and stated, “I will never betray my boss, even if it cost my life. Don’t try and fool me with those words.”
Simon Davis, who was in the surveillance room, drew his brows together, “They’re not talking about you, right, Dad?”
“What kind of nonsense are you talking about? How could I ever get related to those ruffians?” Zoah Davis replied crossly.
Simon turned around and faced Zoah, “Stella is the widow of my friend. I won’t relent if I ever found out that you’re trying to hurt her. I hope that you would not do anything that would make you regret it in the future.”
“What do you mean? Are you trying to challenge your father for an outsider?” Zoah was fuming.
“First of all, I’m a man,” Simon responded gloomily. He then turned around and walked out of the surveillance room.
Zoah pursed his lips. He picked up the mouse and smashed it against the screen. Staring dead at Stella’s stomach, he then made a phone call.
Stella had a bad feeling after seeing Warren pick up a call. She slowly headed towards the door.
“Did I say that you could leave?” Warren asked maliciously. He hung up his phone and ordered his men, “Take them down.”
Lynette rushed to protect Stella.
However, there were too many people, and Lynette couldn’t handle them on her own.
Stella saw a few men rushing towards her.
She wasn’t afraid of getting beaten up, but there was a baby in her. She could lose the baby if she got injured.
She immediately shielded her stomach.
The moment those men were about to hit her, they were suddenly kicked away. They crashed onto the table with a loud noise.
It seemed that someone had protected her at the nick of time. Warren’s men were stunned and they all turned towards the door.
Leaning against the doorframe with one of his hands in the pocket, Bellamy Chuck pointed at Warren, “I forgot to take something that I had dropped.”
“What?” Warren was confused.
”Unhand my woman and her subordinate,” Suddenly, Bellamy turned around as though a thought had hit him. He looked back and glanced at Warren. His eyes were as cold as ice, the hostility in them indescribable, “The next time you lay a finger on her, I promise that I’ll murder your family, including your men’s.”
Stella’s heart jolted as she watched Bellamy walk in front of her.
Both Lynette and her were escorted out of the private room by Bellamy’s underlings. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
She looked at his back in bewilderment.
If she had guessed correctly, there were surveillance cameras in the private room just now, and the person behind Warren was in the surveillance room. The person who called Warren just now was his boss.
Bellamy had publicly announced that she was his woman in front of so many people. Was he not afraid of being suspected?
Moreover, what he did was indeed unlike Jasper.
Jasper would never threaten other people’s families no matter how angry he was.
Was he purposely pretending?
“Do you know where the surveillance room is?” Stella asked.
Bellamy stopped, “You’d better not go there.”
“Why?” Stella was puzzled.
He looked back at her and said, “Because you’ll die even sooner.”
Looking at the face that she had yearned day and night, Stella pursed her lips without saying a word.
Bellamy looked behind her and spoke meaningfully, “You could actually guess who is behind all this without having to go there.”
Stella followed his line of sight and turned around. It was Simon.
The one inside the surveillance room should be Zoah then.
It seemed to make sense that Zoah was the one who had killed Vera. Perhaps he was furious that he had been used, so he decided to vent his frustration. However, she never thought that Zoah would order Warren to beat her up.
It seemed that it was destined that both of them were never going to be on the same side.
Simon walked up to Stella and said, “I’ll send you home.”
Stella nodded, “Thank you.”
Simon looked at Bellamy and paused for a moment. He didn’t say anything in the end. He nodded, held Stella’s wrist, and left the club.
Simon and Stella then got into the car.
“That man is not Jasper. You should stay away from him. He seems very dangerous,” Simon reminded.
“Did your father call you over to the surveillance room just to identify if he’s Jasper?” Stella asked hesitantly.
“Yes. He said that he came here to investigate Vera’s case. That guy looked just like Jasper and he was completely shocked,” Simon explained.
Stella’s lips twitched. There were many things that she knew she had to keep to herself. Spilling them out would only endanger the others.
“You could just drop me here. I’ll get on Lynette’s car,” Stella said.
Simon parked the car on the side of the road and turned his head towards Stella, who was sitting in the back. “Give me a call if you need any help. Jasper is my best friend. I should take care of you.”
“Thank you,” Stella got out of his car and walked towards Lynette’s car, which was parked behind Simon’s.
Lynette then drove past Simon’s car.
Stella turned off the recording pen once she got into the car, and ordered, “I’ve already gotten the evidence. Let’s go to the police station.”
“If Warren was caught by the policemen, he won’t take refuge in us anymore, would he?” Lynette was worried.
“If he enters the police station, Zoah should be the one that is worried, not us. Keep an eye on Zoah. Once he slips up, I’ll make sure that he never has the chance to wipe the slate clean,” Stella replied assertively.
There was no need for her to have any mercy on Zoah for everything that he had done!
