“I told you not to smile often.”Katherine sighed before opening the door widely so she could enter.

James’s eyes widened in shock.

For a moment, he thought Katherine was in cahoots with the pink organization.

Why would she let her in?

“Thanks. I brought some drinks. I thought we could drink some while enjoying the movie.”she went to place the drinks on the table before James.

She stared at him before beaming up again, her eyes deepening.

“Hi, James.”

He gave a nod.

Their going together to a restaurant must have convinced her that they are now close.

‘Don’t trust each other.’ he remembered the phrase he saw below the paper when he was filling out the agent’s form.

Freya sat beside him, few space away and Katherine sat beside her.

“James, changed the movie to ‘Calculation of the knight’s moves.”Katherine uttered and he breathed in relief.

She is not with them.

“Oh, I already deleted that movie days ago.”he said, as if there was any movie titled as such.

She just told him to examine Freya’s moves so they won’t get any ambush attack.

“I recently downloaded ‘Drunk’ though. Should we give that a watch?”he stared at Katherine.

“No! I prefer romance movies.”Katherine chuckled, eyeing the drinks Freya brought.

James finally puts a movie on – A Night You Would Never Forget.

“It would have been nice if it is afternoon instead of night.”Freya voiced out.

Katherine smirks.

“I do think so too.”

After watching few scenes in the movie, she leaned out of the chair and snagged the drinks up.

“Thank God it’s three. That means we can have one each.”she distributes the cans of energy drinks to them.

“Two in one?”James read what was written on the can aloud.

“Indeed.”Katherine grinned.

Freya is going against two person.

“Hmmm.. Freya.. let’s exchange.”she called with a pout.

Freya glanced at her and smiled jumpily.

“B-but it’s the same?… so why would you want to switch?”she batted her lashes.

“Uggh.. it is not. I like yours better. There’s a difference there. See, the cap of your can has blue color while mine has pink.”

Freya sighed.

“I… still don’t see any reason why we should do that though.”she shrugs.

“Just switch with her before she starts crying. I really can’t have my eardrums destroyed today.”James uttered in a persuasive tone.

Freya turned to him.

“Well.. maybe you don’t know, this lady right here is a cry cry cry crybaby. You won’t be able to withstand her wailings. It’s better to give her now. Or, would you prefer her to block your ears before you would do that?”he said and uncapped his.

“O.. okay.”Freya gave Katherine her drink and she collected her’s.

“Are you angry?. I hope not.”Katherine pecked her cheek.

“Of.. course not.”Freya fumbled with the drink.

“I need to use the toilet.”James said and pretended to be drinking the energy drink as he walked off.

When he got to his room, he moved to his restroom and emptied the drink in the toilet then flushed it.

He got back inside his room and his eyes caught with the bottle of his whiskey.

He washed the can thoroughly with water before decanting some whiskey inside.

“Are you not going to drink?”Katherine poked Freya as she took another gulp from her drink.

“I–i will. I am enjoying the movie.”she flashed her a smile.

Katherine nodded with a shrug.

“And, I’m baccck..”James threw himself down on the couch.

He took the can to his mouth and quaffed it down.

“Hmmm”he hummed.

“Amazing.”he twirled the can in his hand.

“I.. think I should leave.”Freya swallowed the lump in her throat and stood up.

“Why so soon?”Katherine sighed.

“I.. just remember I have something to do. And , ooh, my stomach is turning.. I think.. I should go use my drugs too.”she scuttled to the door.

“Or would you need me to accompany you to go see a doc?!”Katherine yelled out.

“No. It’s–it’s fine! I will definitely get better.”Freya said before shutting the door to their unit.

Katherine and James looked at each other than clincked their cans together.

“We are good partners, aren’t we?”she chuckled.

“We sure are.”

“Freya is back!!”a man announced while coming inside the room and the people broke into murmur.

Freya entered shortly and went on her knees.

“What happened?, stand up.”Kain commanded, his eyes not leaving her.

She stood up slowly.

“They found you out?”Kain questioned but she shook her head.

“No, boss. But, I had to leave before they did that. I failed in my attempt to carry out the job.”

‘So are you saying I won’t get a d! ck in my pussycat today?!!’

‘I’ve waited too long!’

‘That’s insane! What are going to do now?!’

‘Damn!!!’

‘Stupid girl! How can you fail?!’

They howled different abusive words at her.

Kain looked over at them and they shut up.

“Tell me more.”he nudged his head to her.

“I.. tried to drug them but the female suddenly wanted to switch drinks with me. I later did but I somehow felt something was wrong so I decided to flee first.”

‘Why didn’t you wait?!’

‘Why would you even want to drug them first! That is not how we do things!!’

“Enough!! Say more words and I vow to make you all gone men!”Kain roared in anger.

“Boss, I had to be careful, especially now that I am the only hope for the people. We can always get new people, boss.”Freya bowed, her heart palpitating in fear.

The other agents grumbled.

“From now henceforth, y’all would attend to your desires yourself. No more Freya for you! Figure a way out for yourself!”Kain enunciated at the top of his voice.

His unwaivering voice echoed in the room.

The people widened their eyes.

“Boss, we are sorry.”they chorused.

“No, no more Freya for you as I’ve said earlier. You ingrates does not deserve Freya’s graceful heart.”he gritted his teeth in exasperation.

“Or, why don’t you fvck one another instead?”

“No. We can never do that to our comrade. The people out there have to satisfy our burning desires.”they shook their heads at Kain’s suggestion.

Of course, they knew he was testing them with that question too.

If anyone has dared to say yes, he would kill that person.

Their believe is, “Protecting ourselves from one another, and protecting one another from ourselves. Let’s the outside people serve us not ourselves! One another!”

“They are agents of paradise alliance, after all. You not getting the job done is understandable.”Kain said.

“There might be no today, but, there will surely be a tomorrow.”
