Alpha Kilian turned his head to look at the girl, but she continued speaking before he could respond. “You’re gonna find Nelly, right?” she asked.

Ben joined them and his gaze landed on Alpha Kilian and Tony. However, unlike Donna, he remained silent as he sat down.

Alpha Kilian nodded at Donna. “Yes.”

“Daddy, are you worried about Nelly?” Donna sat back down beside him.

Alpha Kilian nodded again. “Of course I am. Nelly is so pretty, how could I not worry?”

“Daddy, you’re too aware of that now!” Donna exclaimed happily. “But don’t worry, Daddy. Nelly doesn’t notice when people have feelings for her. She has a cold and strong presence that discourages suitors.”

“Oh, really?” Alpha Kilian raised an eyebrow.

“Yes!” Donna giggled. “Many people used to chase after Nelly.”

After a pause, Donna smiled and said, “It’s not surprising with how beautiful she is, right?”

Alpha Kilian nodded, unsurprised. “Indeed. That’s why I need to keep a closer eye on Nelly. What if one day she realizes?”

Donna laughed and nodded. “Well, Daddy, you’ll have to work hard then. I believe in you!”

“So, Daddy, when are you leaving?” “Tomorrow night.”

“When will you be back?”

“I’m not sure yet, but don’t worry. I’ll definitely come back with Nelly.”

Donna took his words to heart and nodded. “Okay. I’ll wait for Nelly to come back before coming back to this place. I’m sure she’ll love it here!”

Alpha Kilian agreed. “Okay.”

After she finished some more food, Donna said, “I’m going to use the restroom.” Then she got up and left.

Alpha Kilian watched her leave and at that moment, his phone rang. He pulled it out and looked at the screen before stepping aside to answer.

Tony remained silent the whole time.

“How did the talk go?” Ben whispered to his brother.

Tony turned to him.

“What’s wrong? Were you planning on hiding this from me? If I hadn’t taken Donna away earlier, would you have had a chance to talk to him?” Ben asked.

Tony thought for a moment before saying, “Nelly didn’t go on a business trip.”

Ben wasn’t surprised to hear that. Instead, he looked worried.

“You’re right. There’s nothing else that would make Nelly leave us behind,” Ben agreed.

“I was wondering earlier why Nelly suddenly agreed to move. I think she had made up her mind a long time ago.”

When Ben heard that, a thought came to him. He turned to Tony and said, “Why does it seem like Nelly has entrusted us and Granddad to Daddy?”

Alpha Kilian walked over just then, finished with his call. Without missing a beat, Ben asked, “Is it about Nelly?”

Alpha Kilian looked between the two boys after noticing Ben’s worried expression. “No.” His answer only made Ben even more worried.

Alpha Kilian sat down and fell into a thoughtful silence. Finally, he said, “I know you’re worried, but trust me. I promise I’ll bring her back safely.” Then he looked into their eyes and said, “I swear.”

Ben and Tony had nothing else to say, so they just nodded.

Donna returned shortly after. When they saw her, they pretended like nothing had happened.

“Daddy, what were you talking about?”

“Nothing important, just chatting. When will you go back to the film crew?” Alpha Kilian asked.

“I was supposed to go back yesterday, but I took an extra day off. Since they’re not filming my scenes today, I’ll go back tomorrow,” Donna answered.

Alpha Kilian nodded. “Do you have Fabian’s contact information?”

“Yes, I have him on WhatsApp,” Donna replied.

Alpha Kilian took out his phone and gave her Fabian’s number. “Alright. If anything happens while I’m not around, call him. He’ll help you.”

Donna nodded obediently. “I got it, Daddy.”

“Don’t hide anything if anyone on the film crew bullies you. Just tell Fabian, okay? Don’t let anyone make you sad.”

Donna smiled and reassured him, “Don’t worry, Daddy. Everyone on set knows that I’m your darling. They won’t dare to be mean to me. They treat me like a princess, it’s so strange!”

Alpha Kilian nodded in approval. “In that case, I can relax.”

“Don’t worry. Your darling isn’t an easy target. I only got taken advantage of last time because I was too trusting. It won’t happen again,” Donna reassured him.

Alpha Kilian nodded once more.

He turned to Tony and Ben and said, “You two as well. If you need anything, go to Fabian. He’ll take care of it.”

The two boys nodded thoughtfully.

“Also, take care of Great-grandpa and Granddad. Make sure they take their medicine,” Alpha Kilian added.

The more Tony listened, the more he felt like these were their father’s last words.

“It’s your responsibility to take care of them. If you want them to be cared for, you and Nelly can do it yourselves. I won’t take responsibility for it,” Tony said.

Alpha Kilian understood what he meant.

But before he could say anything, Donna frowned. “Tony, why are you talking to Daddy like that? It’s not nice.”

Tony took a deep breath and looked away. His worry was clear.

Sensing Tony’s bad mood, Donna turned to Ben and asked, “What’s wrong with Tony?”

Ben forced a smile. “Nothing. Maybe he’s just missing Nelly.”

“He should call her if he misses her.” With that, Donna took out her phone, about to call Nelly.

“Alright, then. I guess I’ll call Nelly before I go to bed,” Donna said, putting her phone away without realizing something strange in the air.

Just then, Ben spoke up. “There seems to be a problem with Nelly’s trip. I couldn’t reach her on her phone!”

Donna frowned. “Why is that?” she asked. Ben shrugged. “Who knows?”

Donna thought for a moment before saying, “This must mean that Nelly is having a hard time, right? We should reward her when she gets back!”

Ben nodded in agreement. Donna stopped talking as she focused on her dessert. The gentle breeze brushed against her face as she enjoyed the scenery.

After a while, Donna brought her attention back from her dessert and looked into the distance. She mumbled, “To be honest, I really miss Nelly. This is the first time I’ve been away from her for so long…”

Ben and Tony remained silent.

“Alright, now,” Alpha Kilian broke the silence. “You should hurry up and finish your food, or it won’t taste good anymore.”

Donna stared at her dessert on the table and forced a smile, continuing to eat. It was already very late when Alpha Kilian drove them back home.

The car stopped in front of the manor’s entrance. Donna looked at her dad and asked, “Daddy, why don’t you stay with us tonight? It’s late.”

But Alpha Kilian had to turn her down, promising to visit after his work was done. Donna agreed and wished him a pleasant journey, eagerly waiting for his return with Nelly.

Ben was the first to get out of the car, followed by Tony. Just before Tony could leave, Alpha Kilian called out his name.

Alpha Kilian seemed to be filled with emotion for a moment before nodding and saying, “I see.”

“Is there a problem?” Tony asked.

“No, I was just curious,” Alpha Kilian replied. Tony didn’t say anything else and went inside.

In the manor, the smiles on their faces disappeared. Ben asked, “What’s happening? Why did Dad ask about the necklace?”

Tony realized that if the necklace issue was exposed, Alpha Kilian might suspect him too. He explained, “The person I gave the necklace to probably revealed themselves and told Dad about that night. That’s why he has doubts about me.”

“Does that mean he knows it was us?” Donna asked worriedly.

Ben analyzed the situation and said, “Dad is probably just guessing. There’s no evidence, and he probably wouldn’t think we’re capable of doing such a thing.”

Tony frowned but didn’t want to dwell on it. He wanted to focus on finding Nelly. “Forget about it for now. Let’s talk about this later. I’m tired and need some rest. You should rest too.”

With that, Tony went to his room without waiting for a response. Ben and Donna exchanged worried glances before following him upstairs.

On their way back, Alpha Kilian’s phone rang. It was a call from Dave. They discussed a man named Boss who returned to Zaewora. Alpha Kilian wanted Dave to keep an eye on him, especially his phone calls.

Dave asked about the woman Boss was talking to. After some hesitation, Alpha Kilian revealed that she was someone more important to him than his own life. Dave promised to protect her.

The next day, Alpha Kilian would be flying back. Dave eagerly awaited his arrival, wanting to know who this woman was to him.

Alpha Kilian’s voice turned serious as he asked Dave to make sure she wasn’t hurt before he returned. Dave was shocked by the seriousness in his voice but agreed to his request.

“My flight is tomorrow night. I’ll arrive the day after tomorrow in the afternoon. I’ll send you the details later,” Alpha Kilian said.

Dave replied, “Okay. I’ll be waiting to see you.”
