Donna never had a meal together with Alpha Kilian and Nelly, but tonight would change that. The anticipation surged through her veins, filling her with an exhilarating thrill. However, she knew that she needed to maintain her composed, elegant demeanor. As a stunning beauty, she couldn’t afford to behave anything less than refined. The manager appeared, personally attending to their needs for the evening. Nelly didn’t have any specific requests for the food, but Donna, being the picky one, ordered a plethora of dishes, some of which happened to be Nelly’s favorites.
Night descended and the stars illuminated the sky, casting their radiant glow upon the world below. Seated by the window, their reflections could be seen on the glass panels. Nelly’s long hair cascaded over her shoulders, and she adorned a graceful, flowing dress that captured the essence of a mystical being. Alpha Kilian narrowed his eyes as he gazed at her, completely captivated by her ethereal beauty. Although he was well aware of her attractiveness, it still enraptured him each time he laid eyes on her.
Unable to contain her amusement, Donna chuckled softly upon noticing Alpha Kilian’s gaze fixated on Nelly. “Do you like what you see? Nelly is truly a sight to behold, isn’t she?” Alpha Kilian snapped out of his trance, diverting his gaze to Donna. “Yes. She truly is,” he replied admiringly. Donna couldn’t resist teasing him further. “You better work hard then, my dear Alpha. There are many who seek after Nelly’s affections!” Alpha Kilian’s eyes narrowed with intrigue. “Is that so?” With information she had gathered from Fabian, Alpha Kilian had learned that Nelly did not have any lovers abroad.
Taking a quick glance at Nelly before leaning in closer, Donna whispered into Alpha Kilian’s ear, “When we were abroad, a member of a royal family fell desperately in love with Nelly at first sight. He pursued her relentlessly for quite some time, only to be relegated to the friend-zone.” As Alpha Kilian listened intently, his eyes couldn’t help but steal glances at Nelly. Initially displeased by the news, the frown on his face dissipated as the story reached its conclusion. Yes, that’s Nelly, all right! With her tempestuous spirit, she would swiftly assign anyone vying for her affections to the friend-zone if they did not meet her standards.
The thought of his blossoming relationship with Nelly brought a smile to Alpha Kilian’s lips. “Mr. Handsome, best of luck to you! Avoid falling victim to the friend-zone,” Donna playfully encouraged. Alpha Kilian patted her head affectionately and responded, “Worry not. With allies like you by my side, I shall never be just her friend!” He was determined to ensure that would never be the outcome. Donna nodded, understanding the meaning behind Alpha Kilian’s words. When Nelly noticed their hushed conversation, she turned her attention towards them. Donna swiftly composed herself, wearing a stoic expression as though she hadn’t uttered a word about Nelly. By observing Donna’s demeanor, Nelly was convinced that Alpha Kilian had earned her approval. “What were you two whispering about?” Nelly inquired, her gaze shifting between Donna and Alpha Kilian.
Donna shook her head in denial. “What? We didn’t say anything at all.” Though skeptical, Nelly knew Donna better than anyone. She raised her gaze, fixing a penetrating stare upon Alpha Kilian. He simply replied, “She’s right. Not a single word was spoken.” Deep down, Nelly remained unperturbed by their little secret conversation. She couldn’t help but acknowledge the undeniable bond they shared. Blood truly was thicker than water. “I need to use the restroom,” Nelly announced. “Do you know where it is?” “Um…” Alpha Kilian interjected. “Allow me to show you the way!” Donna beamed with a smile. Alpha Kilian promptly rose from his seat, escorting Donna to the restroom. Left alone, Nelly smiled as she watched them leave.
Suddenly, a voice called out to her from behind, “Are you Mrs. Morris?” Nelly turned her head to find a woman standing before her, appearing to be in her late twenties. She recognized her instantly – one of the hussies that hung around Alpha Kilian in the past. Nelly had even poured a glass of wine on her during those tumultuous times. Maintaining her emotionless facade, Nelly simply stared at the woman. “Do you not remember me, Mrs. Morris?” the woman inquired. Nelly knew exactly who she was referring to. She was one of the many women Alpha Kilian had surrounded himself with. “I remember,” Nelly replied curtly, devoid of any sentiment. The woman grinned and continued, “Mr. Morris approached me back then, proposing that we put on a charade. Who would have thought that you two would still be together after all these years? I only discovered it recently through the news. And my, you’ve changed so much. I almost didn’t recognize you.” Uninterested in her flattery, Nelly was only concerned about one phrase from her speech. “A charade?” she questioned. The woman clarified, “Didn’t Mr. Morris inform you? There was nothing more than an act between us. He promised to invest in the movie I was starring in if I participated in the charade with him. It was simply a mutual agreement based on our shared interests. There was never anything untoward happening between us.” Nelly found herself perplexed.
The woman proceeded, “To be honest, the other women around Mr. Morris at the time were participating in similar situations as mine. While I do not know the root of your issues, it appears that everything worked itself out in the end.” Nelly’s eyes narrowed at her words. For the longest time, she had harbored resentment towards Alpha Kilian, but who would have fathomed that it was all a contrived act he orchestrated? Yet, regardless of the truth, it didn’t alter the fact that he had divorced her back then. The only consolation was that Alpha Kilian wasn’t a man who engaged in promiscuity. Suddenly, she recalled his previous statement – that he hadn’t been with another woman since their separation. She had never bothered to question him about it, but she never expected his words to hold true. Lost in her thoughts, Alpha Kilian and Donna returned. As the woman caught sight of Alpha Kilian, she immediately wore a smile and greeted, “Hello, Mr. Morris. It’s been such a long time. I never imagined I would encounter you here!” Alpha Kilian furrowed his brow and regarded her with confusion. “Do I know you?” The room fell into an uncomfortable silence.
We acted together in the past, performed a charade. How could he just forget about me entirely? Alpha Kilian’s expression turned serious, showing no recollection of their past. Donna intervened, asking, “Are you the famous celebrity Sharon Saunders?” Hearing that, Sharon crouched down, smiling warmly at Donna. “You have sharp eyes, little one. Indeed, I am Sharon.” “I’ve been following your shows lately. You look even more stunning in person!” Donna complimented sincerely. As expected, Donna always knew the right words to say. Grateful for the flattery, Sharon reciprocated the compliment. “Thank you! You’re quite exquisite yourself!” Donna responded with a radiant smile. At that moment, Sharon glanced at Alpha Kilian before shifting her gaze towards Nelly, realizing he had no recollection of her. Not wanting to further embarrass herself, Sharon decided it was best to exit the situation. “Please continue, Mr. Morris. I shall take my leave.” With a nod, she turned and made her way towards the exit. However, at that precise moment, Sharon’s manager addressed her, “Don’t you think that little girl would be perfect for your show?” Sharon paused, turning back to look at Donna. Narrowing her eyes, Sharon responded, “You’re right.”Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
The manager shook her head, expressing doubt. “But would the Morris family even desire their daughter to become a celebrity?” After a moment of contemplation, Sharon approached Donna. Attempting to stop her, the manager intervened. “What are you doing? Are you out of your mind?” Ignoring the manager, Sharon addressed Alpha Kilian, “Alpha Morris, I’m currently filming a movie. There’s a character that perfectly matches your daughter’s description. The director has yet to find the right person for the role. Would you be willing to let her audition?”
