“Answer the phone!” Spencer’s voice echoed through the room, filled with urgency and frustration. He had called countless times, desperate for Nelly’s response.
She was taking a shower.
Nelly settled herself comfortably on the couch, lazily propping her feet up on the coffee table as she absentmindedly dried her hair with one hand. Spencer, browsing through gossip columns, had stumbled upon the sudden disappearance of news regarding Nelly. Suspicion immediately took hold of him, leading him to dial her number in a frenzy. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she answered. “Yes!” she responded. “So, is everything true?” Spencer questioned, his shock evident as he had seen her with Alpha Kilian in the photographs.
Yet, when he stumbled upon news about the Morris Corporation’s anniversary, his jaw dropped in disbelief. Nelly remained unfazed, her calm demeanor contrasting with Spencer’s agitated state. “What are you referring to?” she asked casually. Spencer’s voice trembled as he spoke, unable to contain his frustration. “What else could I be referring to? The three children! Is it true that they belong to you and Alpha Kilian?” A pause followed before Nelly confirmed, “Yes, that’s right.”
The revelation took Spencer by surprise. He struggled to process the information. Nelly, the person he never thought would find a partner, had not only found one but had three children with Alpha Kilian. Three! The reality of it was hard to digest for Spencer, and bitterness laced his laughter. “Nelly, you always manage to surprise me. The fact that you’re involved with Alpha Kilian is shocking enough. But to have three children with him? Do you even understand what kind of person he is? How could you have children with him despite knowing all that?” Spencer’s stern tone expressed his disapproval.
Nelly, however, remained calm as she replied, “I am aware.” Spencer was left speechless. Of course, she knew. After all, she was renowned as the infamous hacker, Shadow Seeker. She had the ability to uncover any information she desired, including Alpha Kilian’s background. Spencer pressed on, questioning her choices despite being aware of the risks. “If you knew about his reputation, why did you still have children with him?” Nelly’s silence spoke volumes, confirming what Spencer suspected. She had hidden her marriage from him.
Spencer took a moment to gather his thoughts, trying to calm himself. “So, what is your situation with Alpha Kilian?” he asked, his voice more composed than before. Nelly’s response was serene and unwavering, “He didn’t know I was pregnant when we got divorced. He only found out when we returned recently.” Those simple statements sent Spencer’s mind spinning. The renowned Shadow Seeker involved with the ruthless “Wild Wolf,” and three children as a result. It was beyond belief.
After a brief pause, Spencer voiced his concerns, knowing that even though Alpha Kilian had distanced himself from the underworld, he still had connections and could pose a threat to Nelly. She smiled, understanding Spencer’s worry, and chose not to say anything further. “Don’t worry about it,” she assured him. Spencer muttered to himself, “Then again, I think you should be fine. After all, you’ve given him three children. I doubt he will do anything to harm you.” Nelly heard his words but remained silent. Suddenly, a thought crossed Spencer’s mind, and he inquired, “By the way, were those your children we saw at the Infinitium the other day?” Nelly confirmed, “Yes, it’s them.”
Inhaling deeply, Spencer asked, “How long were you planning to hide them from me if this news hadn’t leaked?” Nelly responded calmly, “I had no intention of hiding them from you. In fact, I had arranged for all of you to meet. But something came up, so I will arrange another meeting.” The news astonished and excited Spencer at the same time. Nelly had always been full of surprises since the day they met. He had grown accustomed to her unpredictable nature, and in truth, he would feel uneasy if she didn’t do something shocking. “Whatever the case,” he said with a mix of anticipation and disbelief, “you always manage to keep me on my toes. I’m looking forward to meeting the three of them. I wonder what kind of children you and Alpha Kilian have produced.”
Nelly’s expression grew dubious, and she replied, “I’ll inform you once I have arranged the meetup!” “Okay!” Spencer responded before the doorknob turned, indicating someone’s return. Nelly frowned when she saw Donna and Alpha Kilian entering the room. “Nelly, you’re really at home!” Donna exclaimed, glancing at Alpha Kilian. She continued, “I told you Mommy was at home. She must have just woken up!” Nelly questioned, confused by their sudden arrival. Donna explained, “We couldn’t reach you, and Mr. Handsome was worried, so I came back with him.” Alpha Kilian stood silently, keeping his dark eyes locked on Nelly.
Nelly’s appearance in that moment only intensified the tension in the air. Clad in a loose white T-shirt that barely covered her bottom, her fair and slender legs exposed, she exuded an aura that could spark illicit thoughts. A towel draped over her body, her damp hair cascading around her, making her all the more alluring. Alpha Kilian smiled to himself, appreciating the unexpected sight that awaited him.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
The unease prompted Nelly to realize that something was amiss. She glanced at Donna and suggested, “Attend to the guest. Let me go and get changed!” Without waiting for a response, she swiftly retreated into her bedroom. “Mr. Handsome, please have a seat. I need to use the bathroom,” Donna instructed. “Sure,” Alpha Kilian replied, his gaze still fixed on Nelly’s bedroom. With a mischievous smile, he approached the room, anticipation in his eyes.
