Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

Alpha Zachary paused, struck by the realization of what Alpha Wade was planning. He glanced at Nelly and whispered, “I’ll go with you once I’ve sent Nelly home.”

“No need,” Nelly reassured him. “I can handle the grocery shopping on my own. Just make sure Nelly gets home safely.”

“Alright,” Alpha Zachary replied after thinking it through. “Just be careful. I’ll let Nelly know.”

After hanging up the phone, he turned to Nelly. “So, Old Mr. Jackson wants me to send you home before he goes grocery shopping.”

Nelly fastened her seatbelt without saying a word.

“Let’s get going then. We don’t want to waste Grandpa’s effort, do we?”Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Alpha Zachary chuckled, a smile spreading across his face. “Oh, and Old Mr. Jackson invited me to have lunch with them. What do you think?”

Nelly closed her eyes. “Grandpa rarely does that. Looks like you lucked out.”

Alpha Zachary’s smile grew wider, his joy impossible to hide.

Feeling a sense of approval from the Jackson family, he started the car and drove off.

As they drove, Alpha Zachary couldn’t help but steal glances at Nelly in the passenger seat. Despite her injuries and lack of makeup, she still looked stunning.

Her natural beauty had a magnetic charm that drew people in.

After a moment of contemplation, Alpha Zachary looked at her again. “Has Alpha Kilian found out about everything?”

Nelly was lost in thought, staring out the window. She turned to him and nodded. “Yes, he knows.”

“What did he say?”

Nelly shook her head. “Nothing at all. The outcome was better than I expected.”

“I thought someone from a prominent family like him would fight tooth and nail for custody once he found out he had kids,” said Alpha Zachary.

Nelly replied, “You’re right. I was prepared for the worst, but thankfully, things turned out better. At least now, I don’t have to worry so much about the kids.”

Alpha Zachary glanced at her, concerned. “Do you think he has other motives for not fighting for custody?”

He could see through Alpha Kilian’s possessive stares, but he couldn’t gauge Nelly’s feelings.

Nelly narrowed her eyes and smiled. “When you say other motives, you mean he’s interested in me, right?”

That was just Nelly being her true self.

She didn’t beat around the bush when it came to serious matters, which was one of the reasons Alpha Zachary was attracted to her.

He nodded firmly. “Yes, I can tell he wants something more.”

Nelly chuckled. “If he’s only chasing after me to get to the kids, he’s just wishfully thinking.”

“What if it’s not about the kids?” Alpha Zachary asked, worry flickering in his eyes.

Nelly’s brow furrowed. “Then it’ll be even harder.”

“Why?”

“Why would I let something that failed before come back into my life easily? I’m not a gambler. I refuse to gamble away my future. Besides, I’m doing fine on my own. If I decide to be with someone, I want a lifelong partner, not just someone to add to my life,” Nelly said solemnly.

It was clear that she was talking about Alpha Kilian and Alpha Zachary, making it clear that infatuation wasn’t enough for true love.

Alpha Zachary’s gaze grew darker as he listened.

Although Nelly didn’t give a direct answer, he now understood that she couldn’t be easily swayed.

In the end, it would come down to who could prove themselves and endure the journey.

Alpha Zachary nodded. “Okay, I understand.”

Nelly simply smiled and turned her attention back to the window.

Soon, they arrived at Nelly’s residential area.

Alpha Zachary carried the grocery bags, engaging in lively conversation with Nelly as they walked towards the building.

Thalia’s car happened to be parked nearby, and she woke up just in time.

Excitedly, she nudged Tony, who opened his eyes with a puzzled look. “What’s wrong?”

“It’s your mom!” Thalia exclaimed.

Tony sat up, spotting Nelly and Alpha Zachary right in front of them.

A frown formed on his face.

“Who’s that man? He’s handsome!” Thalia commented.

“He’s our school director.”

“He must be interested in your mom, right?” Thalia guessed, hitting the nail on the head.

Tony didn’t reply.

They watched as Nelly and Alpha Zachary entered the building together.

Thalia smirked. “See, I knew it. A beautiful woman like your mom will always have suitors. She deserves better than Alpha Kilian.”

Tony rolled his eyes at her.

“Let’s go,” Thalia urged.

“Where?”

“To find them! They’re alone in the house. Aren’t you afraid he’ll take advantage of your mom?”

“Alpha Zachary Lucas is a gentleman! He’s not as bad as you think!” Tony retorted.

“Okay. But we still need to eat, right?”

Thalia had woken up hungry after their long drive, and they had both fallen asleep in the car until now.

She realized her empty fridge when Tony opened it.

Surprised and annoyed, he turned to Thalia.

“I forgot about that in my excitement. Besides, I haven’t been here, so there’s no food. And I can’t cook either. What’s the point of getting groceries…”

Tony sighed in frustration.

He thought to himself, How can a woman live like this?
