30 Days till I Divorce My Husband (Estrella and Jason)

Chapter 6

Mom, relax, I got this.”

She had initially brushed off the fortune-tellers words, but as they piled on with the same. predictions, Estrella couldn’t help but give it some serious thought. Regardless of what the future held with Jason, she had to get on the baby-making train pronto.

After dinner and reassuring her parents she was on the case, Estrella hit the road, leaving the sprawling Dorvold mansion behind.

Back at Sandalwood Oasis, the moment she set foot inside, Marie bounded up with the

news, “Ms. Estrella, Mr. Jason’s returned.”

Her hand paused mid-air as she was hanging up her bag. Estrella was taken aback.

He just couldn’t stay away after all. It looked like Landon had put the squeeze on him.

Estrella paused for a moment before Marie, bubbling with excitement, said, “I just went upstairs to change the linens. Saw Mr. Jason taking clothes to the bathroom. Looks like he’s not leaving tonight.”

When her husband came home, even the servants were thrilled for her, as if she were a queen finally graced by the king’s favor. Estrella couldn’t help but mock herself internally.

After slipping into her slippers, Estrella said with a smile, “Alright, I’ll go up and have a

look.”

She pushed open the bedroom door to find Jason just coming out of the bathroom. Estrella couldn’t help but laugh, “You’re back. Wait for me, I’m going to take a shower.”

Jason looked disgusted, “Estrella, can’t you think of anything else?”

Estrella chuckled, “What’s so weird about taking a shower when I get home? And anyway, if I don’t have that kind of urge upon seeing you, you’d be the one crying.”

Jason fell silent.

Forty-some minutes later, Estrella emerged from the shower refreshed and saw Jason lounging on the bed with a book, his gold-rimmed glasses perched on his nose.

Estrella, feeling fresh and invigorated, approached him, hitching up the leg of her pants and straddling Jason’s lap.

As he looked up, Estrella, ignoring his gaze, lightly unknotted the belt of his robe with a flick of her finger.

With his book in hand, Jason looked at Estrella and commanded without expression, “Get

off.”

Estrella stopped undressing him and asked, “Jason, are you not up for it? If that’s the case, I can go with you to the doctor.”

Jason shot her a cold glance, and she quickly changed the subject, “Don’t want to talk about that, huh? Okay, okay, then let’s discuss something else, something more serious.”

Jason put down his book and spoke with rare gentleness, “Have you made up your mind about the divorce?”

Estrella retorted, “Can’t you think of something positive?” With that, she scooted closer.

Jason looked down and saw Estrella wrapping her arms around his neck, “What about the legal counsel for Nelson International? Could we…”

She was interrupted as Jason cut her off, “Don’t even think about it.”

“Come on!” Estrella protested. “What’s the difference between other firms and Justice Guardians LLP? Is there any condition we can discuss?”

Jason eyed her, a smirk forming on his lips, “Negotiate? With an unwritten rule? Estrella, I wouldn’t take you on even if you paid me, let alone me paying you.”

Estrella was stunning, the kind that haunted your dreams, but he saw right through her little schemes the moment she walked in.

Jason’s aloofness was palpable as Estrella played with his earlobe, “How about I pay the fee and you give me a baby?”

Jason looked up, “So your son can inherit my fortune? Keep dreaming.”

Two years into their marriage, Estrella only seemed interested in having children whenever she saw him, which made Jason feel like nothing more than a means to an end.

Estrella laughed, “How do you know it would be a son? What if it’s a daughter? How about I write you a promise that my son won’t inherit your estate?”

That only made Jason less inclined. His expression darkened as he ordered again, “Get off.”

Estrella, hands still on his shoulders, looked into his icy gaze. His features were exceptionally handsome, his serious demeanor almost begging to be conquered. Instead of getting off, she cupped his face in her hands and leaned in to kiss him.

Jason held her waist, attempting to push her away, but Estrella’s soft tongue enticed him, and he tightened his grip on her waist. He didn’t have the heart to push her away after all.

The scent of their closeness filled the room, the atmosphere thick with desire. Her nightgown slipped from her shoulders, revealing Estrella’s soft skin and curves. She drew ever closer to Jason.

Work, rumors, none of it mattered as much as the prospect of having a child. NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.

As his right hand caressed her back, Jason’s phone on the nightstand suddenly vibrated. The sound snapped Jason back to reality. He released Estrella and reached for his phone. Hearing Drew’s voice on the other end, Jason said, “You go pick them up. I’m on my way.”

Jason hung up and was about to leave when Estrella reached out and grabbed his arm. “Jason, this is downright low!”

Who would leave in the middle of sex? That was just despicable.

Shrugging off her hand, Jason said, “You thought it was serious?”

Actually, if Drew hadn’t called just in time, he might have lost control that night. Had Estrella had her way, it would be a disaster.

After Jason left, Estrella was fuming. She called Jesse and they headed to the bar.

Hearing that her opportunity had slipped away, Jesse questioned with a hint of suspicion, “Jason didn’t take the bait? Is he really impotent?”

Estrella mused, “Most likely, he’s just trying to spite me.”

Jesse scoffed, “He gets to have an orgasm. If you two ever split, he wouldn’t even have to take care of the kid. What’s he thinking?”

“If I had a wife like you, I’d never let you leave the bed.” Jesse’s suggestive talk made it seem as if she truly was one of the boys. And annoyingly, her tomboyish charm seemed to attract quite a few girls at the bar.

As they shared these private conversations, Jesse flipped through her phone. Her expression suddenly darkened, and then she handed Estrella the device, saying, “Estrella, your dear Jason has really crossed the line.”

As she took the phone that Jesse offered her, Estrella’s mood plummeted as well.

Bikeshares, power bank shares, and now it seemed she was dealing with a husband-share. His gallivanting was one thing but to give her the cold shoulder when they were together? Jason was showing her a serious lack of respect.

Clunk! With a deft but casual flick of her wrist, Estrella set her empty glass down on the table upside down. As she pushed her chair back to leave, a sudden blockade of giggling girls cornered her.

“Well, well, if it isn’t Estrella,” one of them teased with a sly grin.

“Looking a little worse for wear tonight, aren’t you?” another chimed in, with a mock concern that didn’t quite reach her eyes. “Drowning your sorrows in booze?”
