Chapter 211
Jason’s sudden rage, coupled with the hard impact against the wall, left Estrella feeling like her chest was caving in, her breath nearly knocked out of her.
She gripped Jason’s wrists tightly, her face turning a shade of crimson as she struggled and gasped, “Jason, let go of me.”
Despite her usual toughness, when Jason got this fierce, Estrella knew she was outmatched. The disparity in strength between men and women was just too great.
Glaring at Estrella, Jason didn’t release her. Instead, his grip on her neck tightened. Estrella’s oxygen was running out, and even Jason’s form became blurry before her eyes.
Her hands remained clutched to Jason’s wrists, Estrella tried to speak but couldn’t. Her limbs grew weaker.
Isaac, Isaac…
Estrella thought of Isaac, realizing Isaac had no father, and might not have a mother in the future. Tears welled up in her eyes and streamed down.
Enraged and tightening his hold on Estrella’s neck, Jason suddenly noticed that she no longer spoke and tears were slipping down her face. He realized what he was doing. Estrella was close to passing out, and in a moment of shock, he let her go.
Gasping for fresh air, Estrella collapsed to the ground, clutching her chest as she coughed violently.
Looking down at Estrella, weakly seated on the floor and thinking of her mysterious s Jason felt a surge of emotion that reddened his eyes. How could Estrella be so cruel? How could she have a child with
another man?
The tightness in his chest was overwhelming. He felt as if he were the one who had be choked.
Turning away, Jason walked to the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the beautiful night view and lit himself a cigarette, seeking some solace.
Back at the foyer, Estrella, still pressing on her chest, was catching her breath.
After finishing his cigarette, Jason stubbed it out and turned back to Estrella. Just as he called her name, Estrella picked up a decorative vase and hurled it at him. Jason, caught off guard, didn’t dodge. He took the full impact on his forehead.
A second later, the vase shattered on the floor, blood quickly trickling down Jason’s face, dripping onto the ground.
Standing up with effort, Estrella said firmly, “Jason, I owe nothing to your family, and certainly nothing to you. My body, my womb belongs to me. It’s my right to choose if I

want children and whose children I want to have. You, Jason, have no say in it, and you are not entitled to demand anything from me.” Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
Her declaration was calm and assertive, which only intensified Jason’s emotion. He stood motionless, looking into her eyes filled with disdain, and asked, “Who’s the father of the
child?”
He couldn’t bring himself to harm Estrella or the child, but the man involved, he wouldn’t let him go.
“It’s none of your business,” replied Estrella.
“Estrella, you think I can’t find out if you don’t tell me?” Jason pressed.
Estrella retorted with sarcasm, “Go ahead and investigate. The man’s already dead. You’ve missed your chance for revenge, so you’ll just have to swallow your pride.”
“You think I’ll believe that?” Jason challenged.
Estrella stared at him for a moment and then said, “Jason, since things have come to…”
Jason cut her off, “Don’t even think about divorce. Even if we torment each other to death, I won’t let you be with someone else.”
He had made it clear before. Even if he no longer wanted something, he wouldn’t let anyone else have it.
Their eyes locked, Estrella scoffed coldly and said, “Jason, I already have a son. Do you think I’m afraid to fight this out with you? Bring it on.” With that, she stormed out, slamming the door behind her.
Just as Estrella left, Jason turned towards the window, hands shoved into his pockets. The thought of Estrella having a child and contemplating leaving him made his
c eyes a fiery red. Tears streamed down his face, and his nose reddened. In his 29 years, he had never shed tears for anyone. But today, he felt as if his heart was being torn apart, so pained that he wished Estrella had stabbed him in the heart instead of throwing a vase at his head.
Jason took off his glasses, pinched the bridge of his nose, and his sleeves and hand were instantly stained with blood. The wound on his head was still bleeding, but Jason seemed to have forgotten about his injury.
They had li
lived in each other’s memories for as long as they could remember. Why did Estrella always have to hit him where it hurt the most, pushing him to the edge?
He was in the wrong three years ago, but no matter how upset she was, she shouldn’t have gone to this extent.
After calming himself slightly, Jason walked to the bar in the living room and without choosing, opened a bottle and started drinking. Today’s events were too much, but he wouldn’t turn to Grayson or anyone else for comfort, He couldn’t admit he had been

cuckolded, and Estrella had a son who wasn’t his.
After gulping down half the bottle, Jason choked, coughing more violently than Estrella had earlier.
Estrella, damn her ruthlessness.
With his mind consumed by thoughts of Estrella, Jason felt as if he had lost his soul. His life seemed meaningless without her.
When Bryce pulled up in his car and saw Estrella’s pale face and the bruises on her neck, his expression darkened instantly. “Did Jason just lay hands on you?” Without waiting for an answer, Bryce stormed toward the building.
Estrella hurried out of the car, grabbing Bryce, “I fought back. He’s got a head wound. Plus, he’s still fuming. Don’t go up there and become his punching bag.”
Jason was fuming tonight, and Estrella could tell just by looking at him. She reached out. and grabbed Bryce by the arm to stop him.
This was a matter between her and Jason, and she didn’t want to drag Bryce, Jason’s own
cousin, into their personal affairs.
Three years ago, when Estrella had left, Bryce and Jason had come to blows, although Estrella herself was none the wiser at the time.
Feeling Estrella’s grip on his arm, Bryce turned to face her.
“I’m beat, Bryce,” Estrella said with a hint of exhaustion in her voice. She had spent the whole day with Isaac, and after the commotion earlier, she felt completely drained and had no intention of playing peacemaker anymore. Besides, she knew Bryce was no match for Jason. If it had been otherwise, she might have let Bryce take a swing at him
Noticing the fatigue in her eyes, Bryce finally focused on her and asked, “You sure you a few good hits in earlier?”
Estrella just smiled. “Don’t worry. He’s definitely going to need a hospital visit.”
At that, Bryce couldn’t help but laugh. Ever since she became a mother, he’d almost forgotten that Estrella had never been the type to be trifled with. She certainly wasn’t going to let herself be on the losing end of any confrontation.
Relieved to see Bryce’s mood lighten, Estrella pulled him back towards the car.
Upstairs, Jason was still nursing his drink, stewing over the words Estrella had hurled at him and thinking about her son.
“Jason, what happened to you? Why are you covered in blood?”
Kristin had hurriedly followed him after he stormed out of the Nelson family’s old mansion. She had raced from Sandalwood Oasis to several other properties, finally
